The staff and hotel are wonderful. Every single employee we encountered was friendly and attentive. The beach is beautiful. The choice of liquors was exceptional. The rooms are beautiful and the housekeeping is top notch. The one complaint -- The food is just awful. I don't come to Cancun and expect amazing food so that being said.....my time here for 5 days was perfect. Great location of hotel as well!

Great time with one issue
Stayed 7 Days and had a good time. Our only issue is the lack of security on the beach. Every day strangers will walk in from the public beach near the Elite section and mix in with the RIU guests. This section is less busy and more secluded. We counted at least 10 people coming in and setting up over the weekend. They took over the volleyball area and set up a loud boom box. As far as I can tell they were not being served by the beach servers. There was also two people in another group walking in from the public area and using the rest room in the Elite section. We saw security one day checking for wrist bands and ask 4 persons to leave but they need to patrol daily and more regularly. This for me is a huge security issue. One couple asked us to watch their things while they went into the water because they were worried

My stay at RIU Kukulkan was amazing. From the service to the staff everything was incredible. Everyone went above and beyond. Thank you to the concierge for being able to put together the birthday surprise for my best friend. The bartender's were amazing as well.

Surprisingly, nice property!!!
I wasn’t expecting a lot from this property. They surprise me with an absolutely amazing visit! extremely clean, with an amazing staff. We definitely stay here again. The location is one of the best in Cancun; a prime stretch of beach across from a major shopping area

Relaxation at its Finest
The resort is well laid out with 4 pools on the beach. It is very clean and staff is welcoming and helpful. Victor was an exceptional bellman with our luggage & glass of champagne at check in. The best restaurant was Asian fusion and the buffet has many options for everyone. The drinks were top shelf and the showers in the room were strong! The theme parties were off site at a different RIU. There was a new cocktail featured in the lobby every night and specialty coffees. Our room was ocean front with a balcony to watch the sunrise 🌅 We didn’t upgrade to prestige and feel it wasn’t necessary. It was a very relaxing & quiet resort. We skipped the nighttime entertainment out evenings.
