  Spanish owned hotels are better than anything that says hyatt in the name

  Great hotel out does the hyatts by far massages are great staff is great only set back is they rotate the staff and not staff is the same elite club is worth it if you want privacy and a few extras house cleaning is ellexclent the food is done very well and the Italian restaurant was best ever

  Perfect getaway with top-notch service

  From check-in to check-out, everything exceeded expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the start. The room was spotless, modern, and had a beautiful view. We especially loved the breakfast buffet—so many fresh and delicious options. The location was also perfect—walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the beach. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

  Great place to visit. We had a great view of the ocean. We loved the temperature of the pool water. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

  DO NOT BE FOOLED by the pics, customer service sucks so does the airport transport

  BEWARE of transportation that is included with your package. It was a nightmare from the jump.  3-4 weeks in advance of my trip I called multiple times to give them airline, flight number and arrival time/date for 4 people.  Also the exact information for the departures for 4 people. ALL of this was in RIU's computer system as I have the emails showing it.2 of us got there at 3p and one person arrived at 4p, the guy was rude and talking over us and recommended we not wait on our friend but to go to hotel right away - i didn't want to leave my friend - so he told us we weren't guaranteed room for all 3 of us. It was very stressful. He was very unprofessional in my face trying to confuse us with what to do even though I had paid for all of us to have transport.  I did not feel comfortable after that exchange nor did I trust them so I booked a cab for $103. And the hotel refused to reimburse me.  The 4th person came the next day and had a similar experience around noon and they told her a 2 hr wait - so she had to get a cab and that $100 was not reimbursed either. Pros: it was clean overall, rooms, lobby, eateries.  However, they don't always put out signs indicating the floor is wet as they just mopped.  My friend fell and cut her knee open and had to have first aid people bandage the wound and as I walked one step out of my hotel room I slipped into a hurky position which jarred my hip and neck where i had to see a chiropractor upon my return.  I walked around the corner and saw the cleaning people with a mop and a bucket with zero signage!  Very dangerous so be careful. Food was decent; breakfast was definitely the best.  They don't cater to large groups for dinner. 3 Pools are nice, smaller beach area, but it is beautiful but they do have peddlers trying to sell items and the hotel did not ask them to leave and they are well aware it is happening.It is more of a party vibe there so if you want to sleep before 11p, good luck, hey have music very loud on some nights Spa was wonderful Check in was a complete joke. I did all of it on-line ahead of time through the app so it would be quick and easy when we arrived.  No such thing - it literally took over 30 minutes to complete the process. They did not give us a folder of any information - they did not give us towel key cards so that was a whole process the next day when we were trying to get a lounger without a hotel towel.  For one reason or another we had to go back to the concierge/front desk people needing assistance. To ensure our transportation to the airport would be smooth I ended up having to go talk to the transport service EVERY SINGLE DAY. Each day was some story about how they did not have our information in the system.  I emailed the company asking for reimbursement and they responded once asking for more details which i sent and never heard back from them again.  So I am out $200.  The hotel would not budge in refunding the money nor would the transport people.  The hotel refused to give any credits for the complete and total hassle and cluster the transport service was.  24 hours before departure they still would not give us a pick up time.  I have screen shots of the guy writing the flights & times down as well as the proof from the hotel and he kept saying it was not in his computer.   ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.  We wasted 3 hours of our time dealing with the ignorance and disorganization of the RIU.  I had a black wrist band and was considered an elite customer and it did not mean squat. Bottom line, they do not care if the service is poor. They never offered anything for the mess they created.  NO 5 Star hotel acts this way towards guests.

  Everyone must go!!!

  What an amazing vacation this was. So many things to do and see. Parties are a must!! I will be back for sure! Staff is amazing, views, rooms. I really have nothing I could say could be better!!!
