Excellent time as always!!
I truly love this resort. I have been to many resorts on ironshore over the years. I’ve made this one my home. This resort is a favorite because of the food, entertainment, overall staff truly make you feel at home in Jamaica. I’m already from the Caribbean so I’m looking to feel at home. Thx to the staff for a wonderful stay. See you sooner than later
Absolutely loved our 2 week stay at the Rui palace. We couldn’t fault anything about this hotel! The food was amazing, Audley the waiter was always there to assist us at breakfast. The fresh fruit juices were lovely and we loved the Jamaican food section especially the ackee and salt fish. We had jerk chicken most days for lunch which was delicious and if you walked to the reggae next door they had a jerk hut too. The cleanliness of the hotel was 5 star! Our room was always spotless and fridge topped up. Most days were spent at the hotel relaxing at the main pool where we didn’t need to lift a finger! The bar staff were fantastic. Shantal, gregory, kim and Demar always kept us topped up! The entertainment staff were always fantastic, The staff made our holiday. There is so many amazing day trips. we recommend you go and venture out and see how beautiful jamaica is. We didn’t go on the Tui trips but found a driver outside the hotel instead (Big Bird) +1 (876) 425-1432 and told him what we wanted to do. He was great and showed us many things driving around and took us to his local spot where he eats. Blue hole is a must! We decided to go here instead of Dunns river falls. We also had a great day in Negril on 7 mile beach and Ricks cafe. It was a holiday of a lifetime and we can’t wait to return!
I spent 10 days at the palace with my husband and 2 friends , it’s a fabulous hotel. We loved every minute and didn’t want to leave. Unfortunately when we were there they were closing the hotel the day after we left, the staff continued to be happy, helpful and professional even though they were loosing jobs. I hope to be able to return sometime❤️
Staff was great. Especially Buttercup, Winston, and Archer. Hopefully someone lets them know how much they were appreciated . Morning buffet was great and again the wait staff was great. Watched Archer clean the pool bar one night and it was comforting to see the great job he did. All in all great stay.
The staff work hard to please you.
Very nice modern hotel very close to the airport and on the beach. We had 2 beautiful decorated tables in the buffet restaurant for my wife's birthday and the night before we left which was a nice touch from the waiters. The rooms are modern and spacious but the bed was improved with a mattress topper, they are well equipped but we didn't tackle the coffee maker. Food is plentiful and a huge choice in the buffet restaurant where we ate all but 2 of our meals over the fortnights stay. The speciality restaurants can be very limiting if you don't want to queue from 6.30pm due to not having a booking facility, I think this was one of the only recurring gripes of other guests especially when some guests need to eat straight after taking some medications. The beach area is narrow with coarse gritty sand and smoking areas for those that need them are very basic/unwelcoming unless you walk to the far end beach section. We only went on one excursion booked at the Kiuki travel desk which was to 9 mile up in the hills where Bob Marleys shrine was situated, there is a long uphill drive on narrow roads full of potholes and a hair-raising drive down if you get the driver from hell who just wants to overtake everything even when its not safe, 9 mile itself isn't really suitable for people with mobility problems as there are a lot of stairs to climb and a long uphill walk to the shrines. as expected there were special tobacco sellers in abundance outside the gate and also some inside. There is a free shuttle over to the local gift shops that all sell the same range of goods marked up at more than twice the price they will accept. The smoking area at the front of the hotel although small became a good social gathering place where we met quite a few other guests from all over the world (even though I'm a non-smoker) Overall we had a relaxing 2 weeks and would definitely recommend it. when travel restrictions allow.
