Aug 10, 2025Unforgettable Family Getaway
Our family of five had an absolutely fantastic time at Riu Palace Costa Mujeres. The food was outstanding — we thoroughly enjoyed the buffet, the steakhouse, and the Italian restaurant. Being able to grab a cappuccino anytime during the day was a delightful bonus. The resort is spotless and beautifully maintained by an incredibly hardworking team. Our kids made the most of Splash World, visiting almost every day, and our youngest loved her time at Riuland. We even had the chance to enjoy Riu Art, where my wife and I painted together — both pieces now hang proudly on our wall at home. A heartfelt thanks to all the staff, and special appreciation to Luna, Gabriella, Alexis, and Adan for their exceptional service and attention, which truly made our stay memorable. Highly recommended!

A lovely stay!
We had a really lovely stay. The room had the most beautiful beach view! The cleaning service was brilliant. I had to ask the evening service to stop coming as they let themselves in when I was in the shower. We had the most amazing service from Manuela in the buffet. We loved the Mexican restaurant too. The pools were ok but could have done with a greater variety of entertainment for the kids. The hotel did struggle to manage the sunbed situation when very busy. They were pretty uncomfortable though. The Reception were very helpful as was Adrian at Customer Services. We enjoyed using the jet skis out. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay. Thank you!

Overall a great holiday
We normally go to playa del Carmen in Riu Mexico Palace but we fancied a change. This hotel was very comparable. As a more recent hotel, it was better designed. There are amazing sea views from almost anywhere. We stayed in partial sea view rooms which were very nice. Well appointed. Cleaning staff for rooms are amazing. Enjoy peace and quiet in the morning as it gets quite lively in the afternoon across all pool. The slide pool is quite fun. The subcontractors from the photographers to Scuba Caribe are great. Recommend booking trips with scuba caribe as they are by the pool every day. The guys are really helpful. Riu fit at this hotel is a particular strength as is Riu Art. We have been to a fair few Riu’s and this aspect is the best that we’ve come across. If I was to be picky and recommend a small improvement, it would be to have a more consistent good service in the evening . It does have a safe feel however it is a beach whereby it is possible for public to access and seeing as though there are entry points to the hotel from the beach you may want to be mindful. This certainly will not deter us from visiting the hotel again. We will be back!

Vacation July 2025
What a great experience at the Riu! The staff are all so pleasant and wonderful! We looked forward to every morning eating at the Buffet with Luisito! He is the best and so so sweet. Our last day he actually reserved our same table with a beautiful presentation.. we already miss him so much! We also loved our time at the Square Garden Bar with Amelio, Andrey and Felipe! Very good service and laughs !!

Enjoyable and relaxing experience!
Beautiful and very clean resort. The food was delicious with a good variety. We really enjoyed the shows, Latin live music, volleyball matches and the Riu parties. The water slides were a hit! Isabel from the coffee/bar area was super friendly and attentive. All the staff were polite and welcoming. We’d definitely come back!
