Sep 28, 2025We did not like it, but will be back in 4 weeks. LOL
75 minute ride from airport. That's the negative. Pools are perfect, rooms are perfect, staff are 5 star. Our yearly 4 weeks holiday is a RIU holiday. In Sept9-2025 we invited our friend to tag along, 2 rooms. We loved our week and will return mid October. If by chance Mexico gets seaweed no-one on this planet can stop it but they can clear it asap. Bring the love of your life, the grand kids or a friend, it's a good time. The whole family will love the entertainment on the stage at 8 or 9pm. My grandkids love a beach holiday and so does their grandma and grandpa.

Thank you Riu Palace Costa Mujeres!
My husband and I have been coming here for a few years now! We will not go anywhere else, as we have found our home away from home! We absolutely love this place! We always have had the best time every single time! From the service, to the food, to the resort. It’s a beautiful place and the entire staff represent Riu exceptionally! Especially Lili and Paco! They always make our experience at Riu a special one! We actually look forward to seeing them when we get there! it’s like a family reunion!! The entire staff at Riu feels like family! From the front desk, to the bartenders, to the housekeepers to the all the waiter staff! The landscapers do a great job at maintaining the lawn and the janitorial/ cleaners keep every corner of that resort immaculate! Thank you Riu for such a beautiful place, and all the wonderful memories! We can’t wait to go back!! 🩷

First time visit to this hotel
Wonderful hotel, staff, accommodation, food and entertainment all set in lush beach surroundings. Felt like 6* . An amazing holiday. However, Would like to see more large visible no/ smoking banners unless in designated areas and no vaping (everyone travelling to Mexico must be aware this is illegal). Those that flout these rules are very annoying. Mini bar was not always stocked up daily but was quickly solved by ordering from the app. Special mention to staff members Otto (entertainment) Jorge and Briana (pool bar) and to Luna who engaged with us for honest feedback, questions and answers. Will definitely visit this resort again

Riu Service
Liliana was the best! She served us every morning and lunch and she always made sure we had everything we needed. She was so good with our baby too! We will miss her

Relaxing family holiday
I have just returned from a one week stay at the RIU Palace Costa Mujeres, having had a relaxing stay. The hotel, whilst large, has an attentive staff who are willing to help at any given moment. With five pools, two with swim up bars, there are plenty of places to relax and there are plenty of beds available. There is also shared children’s pool with the neighboring RIU Dunamar along with the splash park. All pools have life guards, and there are activities everyday hosted by the hard working animation team. Whilst only a small point the children’s pool does feel like it opens late at 10am and there is little shade in the pool. Pools aside, the beach is also nice, though crowded in places. The food is also well prepared with the buffet having ample choice for all , and a nice touch is that the themed restaurants do not require reservations- operating instead on a first come, first served basis. We enjoyed the Mexican and steakhouse. The rooms were also well kept and spacious, with the housekeeping team doing an excellent job each day. The only point regarding the rooms is that the doors are heavy and many guests let them slam shut. This creates loud noises throughout the night . All in all a pleasant stay.
