Jun 13, 2025Riu Palace Baja for 6 days
hotel was immaculate, it was the free ride transfer that i informed multiple times that i was going to the Baja location in which they also had noted on their paper, and they managed to drop me off at the wrong location and we had to find our way with a taxi out of pocket to find the correct hotel. but the food the parties and the rooms were all amazing, clean, and fun!!

Best Hotel Resort is Riu Palace Baja California ☆☆☆☆☆
Best Vacation this year by far...the Food was Excellent in every location we are at (which was all of the Restaurants)..the Employees were Pleasent and Participated with the Travelers who stayed @the Resort...all of the Parties were Great full of Fun and Dancing and Socializing...Room Service Excellent...Cleanliness was 100% ...we are definitely going back next year.. and the Music Played By the DJ'S was always Great..(being a DJ myself I should know)...hopefully I can join in with a set a play with the DJ'S...my advice is go and bookbyour room and stay and enjoy...we will see you guys next year in 2026...*Dj DrunkenMaster*

Above my expectations
The hotel looks as good, or even better in person. The staff were amazing, everyone was extremely kind and welcoming. This was my first solo trip and the staff definitely eased my nerves. The selection of food is incredible, the steakhouse was a 10/10. The room was clean, spacious and modern above my expectations. I wish I would’ve booked a few days extra! The morning barista at the coffee stand made my days :)

Australian visitors on short break June 2025
Food and drinks were inclusive (brilliant). No children (excellent) Room was large with 'king+' size bed (brilliant) - we had courtyard views, towards ocean. Shower space etc was very generous (fantastic). Shower pressure/volume - 9.5/10 - excellent. The service from the staff was exceptional - we tried to speak some Spanish (and most of the staff tried to help and just laughed). Por favor Pool area, and pool cleanliness was 10/10 Food and beverage service around the pool area was faultless (brilliant). Staff very friendly. We were there in the shoulder season - I would image the Riu Palace would be very busy in the high season., and suit an under 35's age bracket. Food from the main-hall was very very good. 9.5/10. At each individual food buffet, staff were cooking on demand - so no food was lying idle for long = very fresh. Fruit of any type was fresh. Healthy options were all available.

Jun 10, 2025OK And Could've Been Better
Mixed experience: 1. The check in- It was quite an off start with the check in where the check in lady didn't bother to explain anything about the property or my Elite Club privileges. It was a very dry welcome. 2. The Room-I had an Elite oceanfront club room and while the room was pretty nice with the great views, you can clearly see the poor housekeeping in the room. Just check right behind any of the doors- you find trash and dust. 3. Food and Drinks- I had some premium brands in the room that I didn't even try because I was drinking everywhere:) So no complaints. Food was just below the average in all of the restaurants. They need to work on food quality. 4. The so called "Elite Amenities"- I didn't have the "exclusive gift" in the room so I did express the thoughts to the front desk (that's too when other guests showed me the pix). The PR person did acknowledge that, apologized. So when I came back to my room, I saw the "gift" but they took away the Jute bag instead! hahaha ! I find that so petty and funny! I didn't open the sparking wine, they could've taken that too. OH WAIT--May be they did, I didn't check the mini bar! lol ! 5. The customer care- My flight was canceled due to the bad weather and while I do understand completely that it's not RIU's fault and they can charge me for that night(which they did); what I couldn't understand is the airport transfer services. I tried calling the Destination services to reschedule the pick up and they asked me to call Riu. When I called RIU, they asked me to call destination services as the hotel doesn't get involved with the pick up company! I was like what's going on here? Why are we playing like a ping-pong game here? AND RIU- if you don't want to get involved with these kinda situations; why would you even give me the option to book an airport transfer with you while booking the hotel??? VERY VERY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Would I book this place again- NO! I do need the good customer service while traveling. If I am being a nice understanding customer, I do expect the hotels to act like a "we care for you" kinda property as well.
