  Altercation

  Guest in room 990 had a loud and physical altercation on Monday, June 2, 2025. The altercation lasted throughout the night. I reported incident to front desk. Not sure why no one came and allowed situation to continue through the night. My two kids were in the room during the altercation. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

  Good place for families and couples

  My wife and I stayed here without the kids and after staying there we will probably come back with them. The adult pool was fun but the kids pool seemed like a blast for kids. There’s also a splash pad and a mini water park. The buffet was plentiful and the food was good. The restaurants were good but the only complaint is the reservation system where you pretty much have to wake up at midnight to book a reservation for your preferred restaurant otherwise it will book up kinda fast.

  Great staff and beautiful resort

  I felt like this resort was what I will call adequate plus. Pros: The staff here is amazing! Very friendly and attentive Very clean and tidy resort Very clean rooms Room stayed stocked with beverages Room had a great view and stayed cool Very quiet room The Sports Bar restaurant -though service is very slow- stays open all hours Swim up bar was nice and bartenders there were great I always always leave a tip, but didn't feel extra pressure to do so Breakfast buffet was excellent Cons: Room service options are very limited Restaurant food is bland and just okay Not a lot of good entertainment Didn't feel like I got good info upon arrival Because it's a family resort, there are lots and lots of children (which can be a plus as well if you're with family) Would've liked more options to sit outside and eat Would have liked more options for local food cuisines Where are the desserts in this place? Most places have an ice cream bar or something that runs round the clock. I was hard pressed to find good dessert options here, even at the restaurants. The coffee bar opened late and pastries were not good. Wasn't made aware of good excursions in the area- had to find them on our own All in all, this is a place I would recommend. It's not too far from the airport. The resort is very clean and the views are amazing. The staff is wonderful. This resort is for a young-middle aged crowd.

  Best Resort Ever

  I loved everything about RIU Aquarelle! From the staff to the environment it was literally the most amazing experience. I can’t wait to go back!

  Amazing customer service!!

  We had the best of the best in friendly customer service. I tried to remember everyone’s name and please forgive me in advance for the spelling. Cecelia in the main dining room and A-Aliayah one of the hosts and Shawn the late night sever at the American Bar. They all were the blueprint of excellence customer service. There guy at the jerk hut and the nearby bar, thank you for my constant request for mojito. The Dj was amazing! MoMo you did your thing girl. Thank you for taking the time to listen and not not brushing us aside when we came to you. You are amazing at what you do. I was a little disappointed that the location did not have space and that we had to travel to Riu Ocho Rios for the big party on Saturday. Other than that we had an amazing time. There were plenty of buses for the transport which was a two in one. You get an hour drive to see the north coast and a party all on the same day or should I say night. Please eat before leaving the resort. You will not have access to Riu Ocho Rios dining areas. A small selection of curried goat, rice and peas and Vegetables, cookies and nachos and cheese were available. A big shout out to the staff Shamar who had the hardest job in stopping us before we were able to get to the off limits areas. The face painting and the all white party was everything you expected.
