Post COVID-19 all inclusive norms
COVID protocol was very evidently observed. Only issue in regulars to sanitization was we found 2 sandwiches in the minibar that’s looks like it belongs to the previous guest and the toilet exhaust fan wasn’t working. Staff was friendly and helpful. The all inclusive feeling is some what lost, I completely understand that this is an extra ordinary time. But you felt safe and that was key for me and my family. No more self serving at the buffet. Try to make up your mind by looking around or you will creat a back up by taking too long to decide on what you want. No mask no service, you sometimes tend to forget to wear a mask so you have to go get it and that may be a hell of a trip depending on where your room is located. Food options were great, entertainment finishes at 11pm I guess because of the national curfew. All in all we did enjoyed ourselves. Mon
Family visit review of RIU OCHO RIOS
Check in is long (took 1hr n we arrived at 3) The slides close at 5 - even with their new change of time with the late check-in Food is poor Customer service is poor Cleanliness is poor (spills n table messes take a long while to clean up)
Warning!! room robbery’s
There have been a spate of room robbery’s when guests are actually in the room sleeping! Customer service has been appalling regarding this matter, I shall be cancelling my booking for this hotel for next year.
Horrible Customer Service
RIU Ocho Rios will never see me and my son again. The customer service is horrible. There was a very violent domestic fight happening in the room next door to the room I am in with my child. Loud yelling, beating, crying, items being thrown and doors slamming at 1:30am. I called the front desk to be told there is nothing they can do. I am truly disappointed I decided to stay here.
Riu Trip Review
Our experience at Riu was great. I did not regret using this location for our first anniversary celebrations. The staff was very accommodative. However, the main restaurant “St. Ann” served the best tasting food. Our only challenges was with parking.
