Jan 12, 2025Riu Lupita Above and Beyond
This is y second visit to Riu Lupita and have to say it did not disappoint. Using the Riu app which you can make requests so I asked if it would be possible to have the same bungalow as my last visit and sure enough they did. I like everything about Riu Lupita because it is on 1 level which because of my bad knees is perfect. Every member of staff has a smile for you from the grounds people to the reception staff. My room was cleaned daily to a very high standard as is every part of the resort from the grounds to the bar area especially if there has been rain. The restaurant's are very clean and the main dining room as a multitude of different foods to satisfy the most picky of eaters. The Mexican and Italian restaurants are both very go if you fancy a change from the main dining room. I was there for Christmas this visit and I have to say everyone associated with the resort went above and beyond, the grounds where decorated with Christmas lights and it looked absolutely amazing and the Christmas Eve (Nochebuena) evening meal was absolutely stunning and breath taking, every table had a beautiful red tablecloth and decorated with candles, all the staff where dressed in black uniforms and the food on offer was WOW. Everybody and I mean everybody pulled out all the stops including the guests who all dressed accordingly. I haven't got round to the entertainment staff who worked tirelessly day and night to entertain the guests and also the guest artist that where there to, Thank You.. The resort isn't near the beach but there are coaches that run every half hour and there is also the famous 5th Avenue in Playa Del Carmer with its many restaurants and bars, if you ask the driver for the stop before the beach and walk through the security gates you are at the beginning of 5th. Taxis are cheap to take you back to the Lupita. All in all a magnificent holiday and I have to say this was my best Christmas in a very long time so Thank you Riu Lupita to all the staff and I will see you again in May 20254

Very nice beachclub, it was the best. Service in bars could be nicer, i would loved to see them smiling and joking. The new year party was amazing, they really fid a fantastic evening for everyone. Also i was missing disco for the kids, it could have been longer.

Jan 07, 2025Not the expected standard RIU resort
This is far from a 4stars resort, even more when we compare it with all other RIUs we stayed. The buildings are old and lack maintanance. Although they have the beach club, there is no Beach Volleyball and we are not allowed to play on the other RIUs beach volleyball. The food at the club was low quality and limited variety. It maks more sense to pay a little more to stay in a REAL RIU. It is expensive for the quality it offers. On a positive note, Staff is amazing specially the general Manager Javier and the front desk Olivia.

Well appointed smaller property with many animals and greenery around. We had room upstairs backing into forest that was nice. I took 1 star off because on a second day ate something that made me sick and throw up at night. It rarely happens to me. I suspect it was an older batch of a seafood or fish. Otherwise service was excellent .It was a great stay. I will come back.
