Great stay would definitely go back. Renovations look great. Food was good however wish there was real alacarte service. Great beach access and pools. Also could use a beach bar

Wonderful stay!
First time at Riu Jalisco and it was wonderful! We tried all of the restaurants except Mexican (ran out of time) and they were all very good! Never had trouble getting in and there were 6 of us. We just ate later. We were still sitting on the beach while everyone was lining up for dinner. So around 8:00 is a great time to get in. And the buffet had many great choices for the other days. My only suggestion would be to have better snacks in the sports bar. Like popcorn and nachos and cheese. Loved the coffee bar in the mornings!

Great vacation. Staff was great meals in the buffet were great the alacarte restaurants are hard to get into should make by reservation instead of waiting in line got into the steak one and food was awesome the Italian wasn’t good at all but the buffet made up for it. Wood go again with no regrets

Riu Jalisco
This hotel was beautiful! The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The balconies in the oceanfront rooms were very large and a great way to spend our mornings and evenings. The pool areas were really nice. Breakfast buffet was good. The food and lunch and dinner were just OK. We really didn't like the dinner format of the restaurants. There is only 1 restaurant that is actually a sit down restaurant (Steakhouse) and you had to line up at least an hour before opening to get a table. They really only did one sitting at 6:00. You can request a later table but that is not always an option. We got sat at 7:00 and noticed that only 1 other table came in afterwards. The tables were all left empty once the first seating left. There were several people turned away being told that there weren't any more openings for the evening after standing in line for 45+ minutes prior to opening. The other restaurants were just themed buffets and those you had to wait in line prior to opening to get a table. They really need to fix this part of the resort. Luckily there were several fantastic restaurants in Bucerias that we could go to for a nice sit down dinner.

We were extremely disappointed with our room view . We overlook an older hotel with garbage on the balcony. We asked if we could change to a different standard room with a different view but were told we would have to upgrade our room for 70$ us a night . We are staying for two weeks . We love to sit on the balcony and have our coffee and play cards but this will not be an option this holiday . What other guests are saying about restaurants are very true . We waited in line for 1 .45 hours to get into the Italian restaurant and were told we had to show up at 4 pm and wait in a line up for two hours to get into the steak restaurant . We haven’t found a drink that is good yet but will keep on trying . Lots of kids running around
