    Affordable Luxury

    Excellent location on one of the best walking/jogging beaches we’ve experienced. Kudos to the HR department as EVERY staff member we encountered was pleasant and efficient giving the facility a positive vibe. The whole resort was exceptionally well maintained. One small complaint: to a person, all staff assigned to direct activities should be coached on how to use a microphone and sound system - let the amplifier do the work - it’s not necessary to shout! On the same theme, the acoustics and sound system in the main showplace are AWFUL.

    Excellent vacation spot!

    This was our first trip to Mazatlán and can’t wait to go back! The first impression driving up to RIU Emerald Bay was it looked like a castle! The property and hotel was extremely clean and always being kept up with! Didn’t take long to get registered and into a room, we ended up needing to switch rooms due to my mobility issues and not being able to get into and out of the tub. We were immediately switched to a room with a walk in shower that was fantastic! If there were any other issues everything was handled quickly (we ran out of the vodka that was in the room as well no sugar Pepsi & Club Soda and was replenished in 20-30 minutes). Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our week stay. We did go off resort a few times for shopping and a city tour which both were great! Nothing was very far from the resort if you needed to go to a pharmacy or something the resort didn’t have. I would 100% recommend this resort!

    Wonderful Resort

    This was my 5th time of staying @ the Riu Emerald Bay in Mazatlan and it never disappointed me. The facilities are super clean and well appointed. Such wonderful and friendly staff. As always the food was #1. Will be going back again next year.

    Wonderful as always

    We have stayed at this resort 3 times now and it's fantastic everytime! It's very clean, food is excellent and the 2 bedroom family suite is perfect for our family. We loved how beautiful the beach is, my emailolder boy loves the waterslides while the younger one enjoyed the kids water park. We hope to be back soon.

    RIU review

    We had a fantastic stay at RIU Emerald Bay. The people and food were excellent. The place was constantly being cleaned. The RIU is a long ways away from downtown but taking the bus is easy and cheap. Only 13 pesos each way. Super safe to take as well. Yherr are shops just a couple blocks away as well. Those shops have better prices then the big market down town with all the same kind of things. The bed we had this time was a bit lumpy, but I don't fault anyone for this. This isn't something I hold as a make or break for a vacation. Over all I love this place and would not hesitate to return.
