    Riu delivers as expected

    We were a group of 6 adults. There is a lot of pools including 2 adults only pool. The staff did a good job of enforcing this too, so we spent most of our time at one of these pools. The chairs did fill up pretty fast at these pools. The food was good, but lack of a la cart choices. Its a very large hotel, so the buffet style does speed things up, but if you enjoy a sit down restaurant style meal, you wont find much of that here. The breakfast was hit and miss on some items. Hashbrowns and bacon only made random appearances. Rooms where kept clean and the mini fridge was restocked any time we requested. This had to be done through the app, but it was simple and easy to use Water slides are fun, but can be a little painful. You can feel every connection where the pieces join together. There is no entertainment crew or pool games at the adults only pool, that was a little disappointing. There was a live band at the pool one day (very fun) and a foam party and one of the main pools. Unfortunately they where on the same day. Night times shows where nothing special. Standard resort entertainment. Staff was generally helpful and friendly It wont blow your mind, but it also wont let you down. I would recommend this resort

    Mazatlan has better resorts than this one

    The security guard at the swim up bar ruined this trip for our whole family. You have to be 18 to go in this pool. We had a 16 and 17 year old, The arrogant rude security guy came over and yelled out. Get out. I asked him to send management and they came and actually were much nicer. That old security guy has to go. I am also attaching a photo of the pools. The blue one is the swim up pool. The others are the green water pools. They actually smell of urine. We decided the pools were out for us. This place is disgusting. It used to be the best resort in Mazatlan. That is no longer the case. It is dirty and the staff very unfriendly. Don't waste your vacation dollars on a place that doesn't make you feel welcomed. Because of this experience I will not stay at another Rui. Rude, dirty, and zero service!! Funny it won't allow me to add the photo!!

    Best bang for your Buck

    My son and I went with some friends to Mazatlan...was my birthday while we were there...Amazing trip. Clear resort. Everyone was super friendly. Fun atmosphere. Clean big beach with lots of places to sit. The restaurants and food were super good. For the price we paid it was well worth it. Will definitely try to comeback one day!

    Birthday vacation

    Great hotel and location. Staff was friendly and always helpful. Hotel was beautiful. The only thing I would add is more events for adults only.

    Great customer service! Several good food options. Great location! The staff provided great service. I highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely return.
