Great hotel..Great food at buffet..Reception excellant Especially Daniela!! BUT ONE BIG NEGATIVE-- NOISY POOL PARTY ALL DAY!!!!!OK IF you are one of maybe 50 people enjoying. But what about the rest of us? No quiet area Would not return!!..other Riu"s not as bad ( have been too three others At least lower VOLUME OF SCREAMING DJ!!! A classic first world complaint i know, but did pay good money!!

Aggressive and totally unprofessional security. The food was a rollercoaster of good and downright terrible. The food in the sports bar was beyond horrific. We could get past all of that but to see and hear the way people have been treated at this resort is beyond disgusting. I will not book any other clients at a Riu again. Cancun has also become extremely dangerous and expensive. It's not the Cancun we knew and loved. Hopefully that changes. However, for your own good, choose a better resort than this one!

First time at RIU, Not Bad
We started off 2025 in Mexico at RIU Caribe as a first international experience for our children, 6 and 4 years old. Overall this is a great campus with plenty of amenities and a great staff. The location is great as well as it is not too far from the shopping districts of Cancun and offers plenty of walking options on and off campus. My wife and I are accustomed to the room service being part of the all-inclusive, but we learned that this is not an inclusion for the RIU brand typically. This was fine as the buffet and dining room offered plenty of variety each morning. Again, service was amazing. A downfall of being on a main road in Cancun is that even though we were on the eighth floor, the traffic noise was still pretty loud for about half the nights we stayed. If they could insulate from the traffic side better, that would step this property up a notch. The gym is a typical hotel gym and gets fairly crowded in the morning which is why we opted for walks on the path outside of the hotel for exercise. Again, overall a great vacation with amazing staff.

Drugged and Almost Died
I was drugged and cut at your hotel. I stayed at Riu peninsula and drugged at a pool party on 10/19/24. I went to a pool party at the Riu caribe We walked in and seen it was a private pool inside the pool party for our resort so we packed our stuff in my friends Fanny pack and put it away. Then got in the pool that had no more that 8 ppl in it and walked to the swim up bar. I have been drinking patron Repo the entire trip so we ask for that. The Bartender at the caribe says they don’t have that so he gives a two repo shots. We cheers and took the shots. We look at each other and say this don’t taste right. Dont remember getting back to my room. When I woke up I was laying in the bed in my room bleeding out from a large leg laceration to my right leg and my friend laying on the floor. We both were not in the clothes that we had on. When I was sent to the hospital my friend went to retrieve our things from the room and they weren’t there so she went to the last place they were see was the RIU Caribe where she found a hotel worker had her Fanny pack on and wouldn’t give it back. The hotel treated me terrible and didn’t care that I almost died in that room. All the cared about was charging 400 then charged my card 450 without my consent. I did try reaching out to retrieve hotel footage but they declined. I almost died there and still having health problems and the room was so bloody that the police wasn’t even called to investigate. I’ve been reaching out since 10/28/24 regarding this matter and still haven’t received response yet. I was in the hospital for 10 days when I got back home

2. All Student / Spring Breaker Group reservations are strictly On Request and will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the corresponding Destination Sales Department. RIU Hotels & Resorts reserves the right of admission and may reject any request at its sole discretion.
3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:
a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.
c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID
d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.
