    Can’t wait to go again!

Oh my god. Absolutely excellent; in service, entertainment, rooms, location, views, simply amazing! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. My partner had already been before the refurb so with it being my first time to Cancun and my fiancé’s first time back since, we were both very pleasantly surprised! Every staff member we encountered were incredibly friendly, and very helpful; at the front desk, in the main food hall (everyone is so eager to help, we mainly dealt with Isreal and honestly he is faultless, he completely won our hearts; so lovely, very welcoming and always gave my fiancé and I, a good giggle!). The entertainment team are hilarious, and very fun, they had some great games and activities throughout the day. You’ll know the days about to get really fun with a welcoming dance from the team by the main pool at 10am, and Dario starts walking round with his bar on wheels, he’s a great laugh and we really do recommend the Dario Specialty if you’re looking for a drink recommendation! Don’t miss out on Tony’s 12pm Water Aerobics, he and the entertainment team will certainly keep you uplifted, laughing and on your toes with their ventures even on the rainy days. Let’s not forget the daily games that follow, you’re in for a real treat whether you’re watching or taking part! The rooms were beautiful and full of natural light, even the bathroom with a large frosted window allowing the sunlight from the balcony doors to shine through. We stayed in room 781 on the seventh floor which provided a large kingside+ bed - much to my fiancés joy when sharing with someone like me who has no spacial awareness and tends to prefer his side and mine to sprawl across - a large wardrobe with a full ironing board and iron, a large shower room with his and hers sinks, and the fridge (please note you may have to manually turn this on upon arrival) is refilled every 2 days with Pepsi, lemonade, beer and a couple other refreshments that go lovely with the micro bar wall display; 4 full size bottles of Gin, Tequila (obviously!), Vodka and Rum to get you through if you prefer a nice, quiet summer evening on the balcony. Bored of the same view? You’d be crazy but no matter, there are 3 separate large pools (one with a swim up bar if that’s you’re style), and a 4th children’s pool; much smaller and shallow perfect for those who have younger children, toddlers and babies. Not to mention the very large beach that spread across the entire length of the hotel, here you’ll also notice the water sports; jet ski’s, canoe’s and banana floaty rides for example. Riu Caribe also specialise in their parties; 3 themed evening parties (Neon party, Jungle party and White party) and once a week an afternoon ‘pink’ themed party, all of which you’ll enter a somewhat separate section with 2 more pools (the main being designed somewhat as a dance floor placement is VERY shallow, probably knee height enabling a dance and chance to get covered in their foam machines, and the other set at the back that’s deeper with a swim up bar). Even as someone who doesn’t like to party, much like my fiancé and I, it’s honestly worth a visit one event just to experience the atmosphere! As for the location, you’re notice the hotel is in the hotel district for lack of better description but don’t worry, there are 2 shopping centres and a flea market near by, our best advice is to use the Uber services for transport if doing so, they’re not too pricey to be fair, more direct than a bus obviously and much more comfortable. Just as a side note if you want your more familiar brands for shopping and more variety then visit the ‘La Isla Shopping Village’, it’s much bigger and provides all your needs and wants! Weather? Fantastic but all I can say is wear plenty of sun cream, we’re from the UK, Essex and although it can get hot here, it’s certainly no where near 39 Degrees Celsius in Mexico and that breeze? Though cooling, it isn’t fooling anyone but hey, what’s not to love?! Overall, I cannot fault the hotel, and all it offered, it was by far the best holiday we’ve been on being a complete full package, that topped off with my fiancé proposing to me on the beach at the end of our first week, it really was the holiday of our dreams and I can’t wait to go back again next year or so - we’re already looking!

    Beautiful resort

Absolutely beautiful resort, the staff work so so incredibly hard. Nothing is too much trouble for them, every member of staff is so dedicated and happy to help. Not one member of staff doesn’t work hard or doesn’t deserves praise. Fabulous hotel, beautiful scenery, amazing staff. Would return in a heartbeat Top tip- take straws as they don’t do them, and plenty of sun-cream and tablets as it’s so expensive to buy there. Don’t recommend the shop in the hotel or chemist as it’s so expensive!

Wish breakfast at coral opened at 6 or 630, otherwise loved it there. One major complaint - no umbrellas on the beach, stuck chasing some sort of ever moving shade from trees

Don t come here, choose a better one.

Nice location, nice view. All the rooms, from what i ve understand make a lot of noise beacuse of the air ventilation. We traied to change ours, but they told us all the rooms are with the same noise( they are awere of that). The staff it s verry tired, some of them unfriendly. Someone steel my husband s flip flops(50 dolars) and they can t do nothing about that. I m more then sure they have been stoolen beacuse we ware sitting in a more private area and shoes where under the sun bed. No cameras, no nothing. I don t feel safe here from this point of view. Now i have to take my phone with me all the time. Imagine that if they stole a pair of shoes today, tomorrow defitnely they will steel something more expensie. IT S NOT SAFE! I ve been before in Cancun, i ve stayed at Hard Rock and the food doesn t compare. A lot of the food it s tasteless and not the best quality. I don t understand why they don t serve drinks at the poll. You need to go and take yours. I m verry disspointed about the trip. Luckly the hotel it s recent renovated but they should improve the services, A LOT!

    Wonderful Riu Caribe!!

Spent an amazing week at the Riu Caribe in Cancun. Extremely friendly staff and always happy to help. Beautiful and well-maintained grounds. We had an ocean view room and the view was stunning. Rooms were always cleaned daily And fridges were stocked up daily. Food at the buffet as well as the al la carte restaurants were great. Didn’t have to make reservations, just walk in and if they were busy, the wait was no more than 10 to 15 minutes. Arranged a romantic dinner on the beach for a birthday, which was exceptional. Thanks to all the wonderful staff, especially Mayra!! The only downfall (and not a deterrent) is that the staff in the lobby were understaffed, had to wait a while before anyone was able to serve you tea/coffee/drinks/water or even clear the tables. Lots of daily activity and pools were kept clean. The beach was gorgeous and didn’t have to wake up at six in the morning to reserve your seats at the beach or at the pools. Had the best massage on the beach! Would definitely recommend this resort!
