What We Love

  • No reservations needed at any of the restaurants.
  • The spa, your escape-haven, with treatments that chase your worry right out to sea.
  • The liquor dispensers in your room. You'll never go thirsty.
  • Their mantra that rings true, "Service with Heart."
  • The kids' club with a pool and a playground so you can take a much needed breather.
  • The way the resort is bungalow-style and oh-so beachy. Big points for exterior style.
  • The soothing sauna at the gym - perfect for chilling after your very productive workout.

Things to Know

  • You can share all the cool stuff with the sister resorts except for the restaurants.
  • Don't miss boating to Isla Saona Island - the water, the sand, the everything is unforgettable.
  • There are world-class golf courses you can swing by any time you're craving the green.
  • Epic excursions aren't too far away - Marinarium Marine Park and Altos de Chavon.
  • There are two floodlit tennis courts, but if you aren't up for that, then there's table tennis.
  • Check out Caribbean Street - there's a variety of shops and you can get your dance on at Pacha.
  • Ride the pedaloes aka paddle boats, or ride a horse at Caribbean Cachondeo. Hop on.
  • Water park with slides, tobogans, kids pool, sun terrace and snack bar.

Nestled amid palm groves and coconut palms, this everything-you-want Beach Eden does not disappoint. The beach is beyond epic. The cuisine will wow all the gourmands. The pools are sleek and festive with island refreshers waiting to slay you at the swim-up bar - don't miss the Mama Juanas. You want water sports? Got that. Night time revelry? Got that, too. Notice a theme? Yea, this resort got it all.

    Not impressed

Staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful. I wasn't impressed with the place though. The beach water was very nice. During this COV19 time, I was VERY surprised that they had the buffet opened to where all the guests touch the serving spoons while getting their food. That's not allowed at any of the restaurants I have been to back in the U.S. Matter of fact, buffets are closed or an employee should be serving the food. The employees in buffet restaurant sit the guests beside each other instead of spreading them apart or putting a table in between them. The buffet is very large, but they didn't want you to space apart from each other? I had several people come up and cut in line to get the food. It seemed like they are letting alot of the locals stay there or something? Lots of cars parked out front and I agree with other review. They were smoking weed near the pool bar and many brought their own hooka pipes and were puffing away in the water. It was loud at night in some of the hallways around 3am. You could tell they were drunk. Had to open my door and get on to one guy banging on someone's door to let him in. Rooms are very small and very old. I like a fun party place, but this was a little over the top. Never saw security walking around outside.

    WORST HOTEL IN PUNTA CANA

I have been to Punta Cana several time and Definitely the worst time ever. The restaurant food horrible. The Fruits were old on the restaurant. People were smoking Marijuana on the pool. Also out side of the rooms hallway. The manager the night a complete incompetent. Over all this is the worst hotel ever. Do not even waste your money on this property.

    SECOND VISIT

A married couple in our sixties. Check in was OK and Elizabeth on the desk sorted out an excellent pool view deluxe room at the top end of the complex adjacent to a large swimming pool and the TAPAS diner. Please note it's a very big complex. In summary:- 1. The beach was magnificent with no shortage of sunbeds. 2.Pools around the complex were good, some livelier than others. There is a splash park for all RIU hotels at the rear of the NAIBAO hotel which is great for kids and parents. Entry is free to RIU guests. 3.Bars were well organised and professionally run. The main bar was great. 4 .The Entertainment team were fun and always tried to involve people without being pushy. Shows were OKish but tended to be low key when Pool parties were on. There is a FOAM PARTY venue for use of all RIU hotels in the vicinity, a visit can be described as breathtaking. They hold four parties weekly, two afternoon and two evening. Again, entry is free. 5. Food was good throughout the hotel. As well as the main buffet we used the SPANISH, the ITALIAN, and the STEAK al a carte which was the pick of the bunch. The latter had to organise a mini selection process around 18.00 hours in order to avoid disappointment later in the evening. 6. A Bamboo red wristband will allow access to the NAIBAO and we managed a long walk up the beach to gained access to the RIU REPUBLICA as they also used red bands. In summary we found all staff to be really friendly and professional and we had a great time.

    True Paradise!

We keep coming back to RIU Bambu for years, after trying many other resorts in DomRep and Mexico. Convenient small houses with private balconies facing quiet yards and alleys full of palm trees and birds. Great atmosphere, very relaxed. Kids friendly. Family oriented facilities and activities. Fantastic beach with plenty of sun but also shadowed spots. No individual palapas thou, but plenty of long chairs. I recommend watching spectacular sunrises, different each morning. Excellent food, although every year we find less variety. Still wide choice of various foods in all-you-can-eat buffets, many restaurants, convenient hours. Fast service. 24 h modest snacks available too. Small bar and fridge in each room. Rooms individually decorated daily or on special occasions as bdays or anniversaries. Too many technical problems which we found - a bad safe lock, clogged toilet, bad lock on balcony door, poor internet connection, noisy fan, dead power outlets, leaking faucets, broken TV remote - all these were immediately corrected after calling the reception desk. Immaculate room service once daily and upon request. Unlimited beach towel exchange is very convenient. Rich entertaining program, very colorful and vivid nightly shows are better and better every year. The dancers and acrobats are absolutely incredible. The staff entertainers are excellent too. They are outstanding polyglots who are well prepared to entertain multinational guests. Dancing to live music every night. And the theme Pool Parties are totally crazy!!!
