What We Love
- The private island has separate beaches for families and adults and some of the softest sands. Plus, on one side you can feed the tourist-friendly flamingos.
Things to Know
- The resort offers all the luxuries of a major metropolis while providing guests a unique, ultra-island escape just 15 minutes from shore.
The resort offers easy access to Renaissance Island, exclusively for Renaissance Aruba's hotel guests. Complimentary water taxis ferry guests to a lush, 40-acre island boasting two private beaches. Iguana Beach allows young skippers to romp on white sands, leaving romantics to revel in peace at the adults-only Flamingo Beach. If Zen is your pirate nickname, wander over to Spa Cove and splurge on a sunset couple's massage with champagne, or cash in your all-inclusive meal ticket at Papagayo Bar and Grill for rockin' banana jammers that'll have you hangin' with the flamingos!
The Dive Center and Marina make it easy to test your sea legs. Snorkel or scuba dive through an underwater dream world, or stay afloat with a kayak or sailing trip. The nearby Robert Trent Jones II-designed championship golf course is just the place to test your long drive. If you prefer Vegas-style luxury, two casinos, 24-hour entertainment and a 130-shop mall are within walking distance.
After all this activity, you'll love the eight restaurants at this resort. The all-inclusive package makes it simple to try Blue's tapas menu, L.G. Smith's Steak & Chop House's signature dessert or a mango mascarpone tart big enough for the family to enjoy.
Adventurous souls and sandy-bottomed beach bums unite! Whether you want hustle and bustle, non-stop casino action or a water taxi to the silky sands of Renaissance Island, this resort has everything your island heart desires.

friends who became family!
There aren't enough words to describe how I feel about this hotel and staff. I am so grateful to be able to come here every three months & honestly wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Marriott should feel very lucky to have these gems working for them! My home away from home ; I can't wait to go back!
Convenient place to stay - Private Island is a Must See
The pros of staying at this hotel are renting a cabana on Renaissance Island (must do), feeding the flamingos on the island, rooms were very clean and updated (renovated), Starbuck's in the lobby, happy hour at the pool and in lobby (really good prices on drinks). The cons were that they allowed smoking at the pool (although the policy states no smoking except for small area near entrance to hotel) and that there's not many places to eat after 10:00 pm on the property and on Sunday’s the town closes down early. Obviously it’s not the best hotel for the view from the pool, but the trips to the private island are totally worth it. Would recommend 2 nights here before or after going to another part of the island (Palm Beach, for example).
Made our first trip to Aruba with the family in early March, and stayed at the Marriott Ocean Suites. We were very happy with the property and staff, and the the location is ideal for shopping and many great restaurants within a short walk from the hotel. The icing on the cake was Renaissance’s Private Island which had great beach and cabana options, and of course the beautiful flamingos! We’ll definitely stay here again!
Great Fun Great Service
My family and I went to the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino. Our room was small, but efficient and as a family of four, the one bed plus the pullout couch was enough for us to sleep comfortably. And, we were not looking to stay in the room. The pools were clean and well maintained. Not too crowded the first week of March. My children were able to swim right up to the poolside bar and sit on a stool mounted in the water. They thought this was the best! The ocean views, sunshine, and beaches are all quite nice and we took the hotel provided shuttle over to the Island to see the Flamingos. Everyone was pleasant and polite. Service was excellent. While everyone was super helpful, one of the bartenders deserves special mention Jacques Midi. He was absolutely outstanding. Very personable. Friendly. And provided outstanding service. Never pushy, great conversation and often remembered our drink orders (the refills) without even asking. The sunshine was super strong and I did get sunburned. My own fault. Should have worn a swim shirt more often. The whole experience was great. Check in was easy. Check out was easy and the commercial conveniences were close by. If you can, avoid the local mini marts. Their prices are the same as the resort. If you want to buy food and liquor, you need to go to the grocery store, a long, but comfortable walk from the resort, or less than 5 minutes in a car. There, the prices are more reasonable. The little shops charge $35 for a six pack of Bud Light! Sun tan lotion is $30 a bottle. Crazy expensive prices. But once you get into the places where the locals shop, much better.
The Ocean S
Just spent 3 weeks at the Renaissance Ocean Suites, Aruba. As usual it was like spending that time in paradise. We go every year and really look forward to it. This year we arrived February 28th and stayed until March 20th. As you can imagine it was right as the corona virus pandemic began and escalated. While this put somewhat of a damper on the last week of our stay, I would like to commend the staff of the Renaissance Suites! They were terrific in trying circumstances. The front desk personnel are most professional and attend to our needs with understanding, compassion, and knowledge. Two in particular stood out in my mind as going above and beyond (Dito and Valerie). The towel hut workers were outstanding and pleasant in their duties and always had a smile on their faces (Melissa and Joan). While we were there, I found out that there were students interning from the Netherlands. One in particular stood out as exceptional. His name was Joey and he worked at the beach bar Sole’. He was well educated, pleasant, and personable. It was a shame that, because of the health crisis, all of the interns were called back to their country and had to cut their stay short by about five months. Aruba closed its’ borders to everyone except native Arubans. We were able to stay until our regular departure day but it is my understanding that the hotel was going to close a few days after we left. Plan on going back again next year. Here’s Hoping!
