What We Love
- The private island has separate beaches for families and adults and some of the softest sands. Plus, on one side you can feed the tourist-friendly Flamingos.
Things to Know
- This resort offers all the luxuries of a major metropolis while providing guests a unique, ultra-island escape just 15 minutes from shore.
This private island offers two options: Iguana Beach for families and Flamingo Beach exclusively for adults. Sneak off with your partner to enjoy a couple's massage at the private Spa Cove, or recruit the kids to bury dad in sand before challenging everyone
to explore the wonders of the deep with snorkel and fins. From scuba diving and kayaking, to sailing and deep sea fishing, the resort offers something for everyone. When the time comes to wash off the salt, take a dip in the Ocean Suites' lagoon-style pool,
and float over to Sole's swim-up bar to share a pint with your sweetie.
This resort offers the Patamingo Kid's Club with day and evening sessions, as well as extensive babysitting services, leaving you free to spend your afternoon hours on the only 18-hole golf course on the island, relaxing in one of Okeanos Spa and Fitness Center's steam baths or playing the slot machines at the nearby 24-hour Seaport Casino. When the sun dips beneath that endless horizon, it's time to indulge your taste buds with the flavors of the islands. Aquarius offers international fare, including steak, shrimp and burgers. And with numerous other dining choices, even the pickiest eaters will find a dish they like.

Very friendly staff and great weather
We stayed there on 2 occasions and staff there are like family to us now, Suite we had was amazing and quiet. Easy access to downtown and ferry to the Renaissance Island was great. Great for relaxing, sunning and walking.
friends who became family!
There aren't enough words to describe how I feel about this hotel and staff. I am so grateful to be able to come here every three months & honestly wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Marriott should feel very lucky to have these gems working for them! My home away from home ; I can't wait to go back!
Convenient place to stay - Private Island is a Must See
The pros of staying at this hotel are renting a cabana on Renaissance Island (must do), feeding the flamingos on the island, rooms were very clean and updated (renovated), Starbuck's in the lobby, happy hour at the pool and in lobby (really good prices on drinks). The cons were that they allowed smoking at the pool (although the policy states no smoking except for small area near entrance to hotel) and that there's not many places to eat after 10:00 pm on the property and on Sunday’s the town closes down early. Obviously it’s not the best hotel for the view from the pool, but the trips to the private island are totally worth it. Would recommend 2 nights here before or after going to another part of the island (Palm Beach, for example).
Made our first trip to Aruba with the family in early March, and stayed at the Marriott Ocean Suites. We were very happy with the property and staff, and the the location is ideal for shopping and many great restaurants within a short walk from the hotel. The icing on the cake was Renaissance’s Private Island which had great beach and cabana options, and of course the beautiful flamingos! We’ll definitely stay here again!
Great Fun Great Service
My family and I went to the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino. Our room was small, but efficient and as a family of four, the one bed plus the pullout couch was enough for us to sleep comfortably. And, we were not looking to stay in the room. The pools were clean and well maintained. Not too crowded the first week of March. My children were able to swim right up to the poolside bar and sit on a stool mounted in the water. They thought this was the best! The ocean views, sunshine, and beaches are all quite nice and we took the hotel provided shuttle over to the Island to see the Flamingos. Everyone was pleasant and polite. Service was excellent. While everyone was super helpful, one of the bartenders deserves special mention Jacques Midi. He was absolutely outstanding. Very personable. Friendly. And provided outstanding service. Never pushy, great conversation and often remembered our drink orders (the refills) without even asking. The sunshine was super strong and I did get sunburned. My own fault. Should have worn a swim shirt more often. The whole experience was great. Check in was easy. Check out was easy and the commercial conveniences were close by. If you can, avoid the local mini marts. Their prices are the same as the resort. If you want to buy food and liquor, you need to go to the grocery store, a long, but comfortable walk from the resort, or less than 5 minutes in a car. There, the prices are more reasonable. The little shops charge $35 for a six pack of Bud Light! Sun tan lotion is $30 a bottle. Crazy expensive prices. But once you get into the places where the locals shop, much better.
