What We Love
- The private island has separate beaches for families and adults and some of the softest sands. Plus, on one side you can feed the tourist-friendly Flamingos.
Things to Know
- This resort offers all the luxuries of a major metropolis while providing guests a unique, ultra-island escape just 15 minutes from shore.
This private island offers two options: Iguana Beach for families and Flamingo Beach exclusively for adults. Sneak off with your partner to enjoy a couple's massage at the private Spa Cove, or recruit the kids to bury dad in sand before challenging everyone
to explore the wonders of the deep with snorkel and fins. From scuba diving and kayaking, to sailing and deep sea fishing, the resort offers something for everyone. When the time comes to wash off the salt, take a dip in the Ocean Suites' lagoon-style pool,
and float over to Sole's swim-up bar to share a pint with your sweetie.
This resort offers the Patamingo Kid's Club with day and evening sessions, as well as extensive babysitting services, leaving you free to spend your afternoon hours on the only 18-hole golf course on the island, relaxing in one of Okeanos Spa and Fitness Center's steam baths or playing the slot machines at the nearby 24-hour Seaport Casino. When the sun dips beneath that endless horizon, it's time to indulge your taste buds with the flavors of the islands. Aquarius offers international fare, including steak, shrimp and burgers. And with numerous other dining choices, even the pickiest eaters will find a dish they like.

Great Fun Great Service
My family and I went to the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino. Our room was small, but efficient and as a family of four, the one bed plus the pullout couch was enough for us to sleep comfortably. And, we were not looking to stay in the room. The pools were clean and well maintained. Not too crowded the first week of March. My children were able to swim right up to the poolside bar and sit on a stool mounted in the water. They thought this was the best! The ocean views, sunshine, and beaches are all quite nice and we took the hotel provided shuttle over to the Island to see the Flamingos. Everyone was pleasant and polite. Service was excellent. While everyone was super helpful, one of the bartenders deserves special mention Jacques Midi. He was absolutely outstanding. Very personable. Friendly. And provided outstanding service. Never pushy, great conversation and often remembered our drink orders (the refills) without even asking. The sunshine was super strong and I did get sunburned. My own fault. Should have worn a swim shirt more often. The whole experience was great. Check in was easy. Check out was easy and the commercial conveniences were close by. If you can, avoid the local mini marts. Their prices are the same as the resort. If you want to buy food and liquor, you need to go to the grocery store, a long, but comfortable walk from the resort, or less than 5 minutes in a car. There, the prices are more reasonable. The little shops charge $35 for a six pack of Bud Light! Sun tan lotion is $30 a bottle. Crazy expensive prices. But once you get into the places where the locals shop, much better.
The Ocean S
Just spent 3 weeks at the Renaissance Ocean Suites, Aruba. As usual it was like spending that time in paradise. We go every year and really look forward to it. This year we arrived February 28th and stayed until March 20th. As you can imagine it was right as the corona virus pandemic began and escalated. While this put somewhat of a damper on the last week of our stay, I would like to commend the staff of the Renaissance Suites! They were terrific in trying circumstances. The front desk personnel are most professional and attend to our needs with understanding, compassion, and knowledge. Two in particular stood out in my mind as going above and beyond (Dito and Valerie). The towel hut workers were outstanding and pleasant in their duties and always had a smile on their faces (Melissa and Joan). While we were there, I found out that there were students interning from the Netherlands. One in particular stood out as exceptional. His name was Joey and he worked at the beach bar Sole’. He was well educated, pleasant, and personable. It was a shame that, because of the health crisis, all of the interns were called back to their country and had to cut their stay short by about five months. Aruba closed its’ borders to everyone except native Arubans. We were able to stay until our regular departure day but it is my understanding that the hotel was going to close a few days after we left. Plan on going back again next year. Here’s Hoping!
One Happy Island!!!!!
OMG! Aruba is truly one happy island. It’s the slogan for the island. Upon arrival at Renaissance Resort, there are 2 “sides” to this resort. Beach side and city side. We were in the Beach side. The hotel is wonderful you can shuttle between each side with a little golf cart or walk. The casino and shopping are all within a stone throw. Starbucks and some amazing BBQ, Schnitzel and Italian food. The best part were two employees I would suggest each of you request for the best time ever...Maritza in house keeping. She kept our room VERY safe. We forgot to lock our safe one day. When we got back there was a notice to call security and they came to tell us that the room was not cleaned due to the fact. Maritza was sad to see us leave. We all hugged and said our good byes. Next up....JACK at swim up pool!!! Jack made the BEST drinks on the island!!!! He is always smiling and VERY happy. Enjoy the island and most of all...the happy people!!!!
Emmely at Aquaruis is Wonderful!!
We stayed at the Renaissance for our Honeymoon and had the most wonderful time! The private island was to die for - we will definitely be back! The buffet restaurant, Aquaris was great! A good value for a HUGE buffet! We had both the dinner and breakfast buffet and were thrilled with both, but even more thrilled with our server Emmely! She was so sweet and we could tell she really cared about our experience! We will definitely be back to visit Emmely in the future!
I’d like to give praise for the staff of the Renaissance Suites! They are terrific-in particular a server at the pool by the name of Carmen Chavez. She has a smile for everyone and always a positive word. We enjoyed talking with her so much! She’s a bright spot in the day!!
