    Aruba

Great resort to stay at while in Aruba. The rooms were spacious and really really nice. Their staff is great especially Peter and Santos.

Peter was so friendly and helpful the moment we stepped on the property. The hotel is clean and all of the staff were courteous. It’s also walking distance to several restaurants and MooMba beach.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Rude Staff

Our stay at the Radisson Blu was, unfortunately, far from the “One Happy Island” experience we were expecting. From the moment we began dealing with the hotel staff, the experience was stressful and frustrating. We initially had issues with modifying our reservation dates—something that should have been simple. The reservations agent, Veruska, made the process unnecessarily difficult and uncooperative. Upon arrival, no one assisted us with our luggage. Later, when we tried to extend our stay by one night, we were told by Leonardo at the front desk that no rooms were available. He even suggested we look online ourselves if we wanted to find one. We did—and found multiple available rooms. We were quoted the original rate of $276, which we accepted, but when it came time to pay, we were charged $376 without explanation. We asked to speak to someone from reservations, but no one came out to address us, and Ruviella at the front desk was dismissive and unprofessional, refusing to call a manager. The next morning, we had a UTV tour scheduled. When the company arrived to pick us up, Leonardo didn’t call our room to inform us. When we approached the lobby, he claimed it wasn’t his responsibility and responded with hostility when we asked for assistance in locating the tour. When my partner asked why we were being treated this way, Leonardo threatened to call security if we didn’t “lower our voices.” This was shocking and unacceptable. Later that day, the shuttle from the beach never returned at the promised time, leaving us stranded for over 25 minutes. At the bar, we were charged $20 for a $15 glass of wine—even after tipping $5 in cash. Service at the rooftop pool and restaurant was slow and inattentive. When I called for a functioning iron because ours didn’t heat up, Leonardo told me someone would bring one—nobody came. I called again and was met with a rude “Oh, Jesus Christ,” before he hung up on me. On our last day, our new reservation wasn't updated properly, so our room access was blocked. We were soaking wet and stuck outside, and no one informed us we needed a new bracelet. Again, we were left waiting for over 20 minutes for assistance and were spoken to rudely over the phone. The only redeeming moment was meeting Dondre, who was kind, professional, and genuinely apologetic. He explained that the island thrives on hospitality and tips, and he, too, was disappointed by the behavior of his colleagues. This hotel has serious issues with staff training, professionalism, and guest service. We left feeling disrespected and unwelcome, and we would not recommend this property to anyone seeking a pleasant or relaxing stay.

    Great Location Hotel

This hotel was a great choice for us. It is so convenient to walk to the beach and the nearby shops and restaurants. We walked to everything we needed. They do provide a shuttle to the beach, but it's really a quick walk though. There are limited chairs and umbrellas on the beach, but people leave throughout the day, so you can try and wait it out. We were lucky one day, but the next day we just paid $30 from MooMba beach to set us up. The food at the pool bar is a little expensive. We found the Clover coffee shop to be more affordable and delicious. We went there every day for breakfast and lunch and split some of the options they had or we ordered food at MooMba while on the beach. I would highly suggest you walk down to Eduardo's Beach Shack for some delicious lunch choices. It's near the Playa Linda hotel. The staff is really nice and helpful. They answered all our questions, arranged a taxi for us to get us to the airport, and stored our luggage at checkout for a few hours while we ate lunch. The pool is relaxing and my daughter and I even participated in one of the yoga activities they offered one morning. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for other options that are not beachfront.
