  Beautiful Setting, But Overpriced and Over‑Resorted

  Pueblo Bonito sits in a beautiful location, but the experience felt white‑washed and heavily resort‑manufactured. Everything—from drinks to food to massages—was noticeably overpriced, to the point where it felt like constant price‑gouging. Overall, it came across as a polished but overly commercialized version of Mexico, without the authenticity or value to justify the cost.

  Was at the main pool. Humberto was tremendous. Great service all day- with a smile.

  Cart drivers at Sunset

  The cart drivers are awesome! They deal with so many different people all the time and are always professional and courteous! A special nod to Juan Carlos! He is always prompt and totally cares about the people!! Thank you JC!!!

  Main Pool Bartendar Was Amazing

  My husband and I booked a trip to Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach for my birthday week, we were there from Sunday - Saturday. Resort Shuttle: When we got through customs, there was a person waiting in the transportation area of the airport, asked if we were going to Pueblo Bonito, and then pointed us to a man at the counter. The man provided useful information about our driver, and where to catch the resort shuttle. Con: After we received information about how to catch the shuttle, the person at the desk tried to talk us into excursions, even after repeatedly telling him we did not want to book any at this time, and just wanted to get to our hotel. He kept us for at least 15 minutes, when all we wanted to do was get to the shuttle pick up area. Resort check-in: We arrived at the resort early and our room was not ready. We were told it would be ready at 3:00pm. We left our luggage with the bell hop and went to have beverages at the bar located right off of the lobby area. The resort did give us our all inclusive bracelets ahead of check in, so that was nice. On our way to the lobby bar, we were stopped by another salesperson, trying to sell us excursions. These people to not take not for an answer. I finally walked away while she was talking. She was extremely pushy and I did not like that at all. We then took a golf cart to the Market to get some food. Another salesperson caught us and although he was much gentler and less pushy then the other two, it was still off putting for these sales folks to step in front of us and push excursions. We went back to the check in desk at 3:00, and was told to come back at 3:10, and our room would be ready. We went back at 3:15, and was told our room was still not ready. I was so frustrated, it was a long flight and we wanted to get to our room. We were finally able to check in just past 3:30. Room: We booked an Executive Suite with an ocean view with a king bed. When I asked about this during check in, I was told that those rooms do not have Kind beds because they are meant for more than two people to stay in. They pushed the two queens together so we had one very large bed to sleep in. The room was amazing, and housekeeping was phenomenal. On our first night there, we did not have any hot water. When I called about this, the first person I talked to told me it was a resort wide issue, but she transferred me to the front deks, and the gentleman told me it was out of their control, and maintenance was working on it. He told me it was NOT a resort wide issue. He said he could move us to a room to spend the night and take a hot shower, but it would be a much lesser room. I told him I wanted a credit for how much we paid for our room and he flat out said he cannot do that. The next day, we still did not have hot water. It was the third day where it finally worked. Food: The food at the resort was amazing, no matter where you ate! Room service was speedy however their menu is very limited. Pool: The main pool was our main place to hand out everyday. At the swim up bar, we met the bartendar - Yonathan Flores...to say he was amazing is an understatement! He was kind, professional, and very personable. Every drink he made for us was nothing short of amazing!!! He made our pool days very memorable! The service staff at the pool was amazing as well! They were quick and friendly! Overall, I am going to give this resort a five! With the minor hiccups we experience, the overall service was great!

  Marcos took care of us for 3 days at the sky pool. He was incredibly kind and friendly. He was on top of everything and ensured our needs were met. We loved our experience with him and would come back!
