Outstanding evaluation for Aileen at front desk
Went for some change to front desk yesterday and was helped by Aileen, who while professionally and speedily did what she needed to do, while at the same time did it in a friendly and caring matter that would make any guest feel welcome and almost treated like a friend and not just a number. Wish her the best in a career that hopefully takes her places.

Pueblo Bonito Sunset & Spa resort
The resort overall is old, so there are some areas that are very run down and need some work. Most patios have hot tubs, which only 1/4 of the jets worked. The food was average for what they charge. Do not do the premium package, because it doesn't really pay off. We did not eat at the premier restaurants as the charge to eat there is not worth it. At check in have them put the room deposit in pesos, because if they do it in USD, when they refund the deposit the exchange rate screws you. I was out about $150.00. The pools close down at 2:00 every day for weddings, so that is very frustrating. At check out, check your bill, they sneak in the $20 charitable contribution to their social programs. I would have no problem if they would ask me if i would like to contribute, but they just add it to your bill and you have to ask to remove it. Over all the staff was great, and helpful.

A dream and a nightmare
The staff is A+ in every department. I've never been to another hotel in the world with such pleasant and efficient staff. The food is wonderful. You never need to leave the property for any food or dining experience. While the furniture in the room and patio was fresh and attractive, the condition of the room itself was terrible!! The toilets and showers had broken handles, the bathtub drain and the jacuzzi were broken. The patio door handle was broken and jagged, the towels and sheets were worn and stained, but the worst was that the shower had BLACK MOLD, a serious health hazard. I went to the front desk the first morning and asked to see the GM. He wasn't in yet, so I left him a message to call me. He never called, so the next day I took a letter to the front desk for the GM listing the issues with the room. I never received a note, message, or call until the day before we left, when a Rooms Manager called to ask about my concerns. It's hard to understand how such a well-trained staff could have management so unconcerned about such deplorable and dangerous conditions on their property
