Outstanding Guest Service
We've been going to Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach for over 20 years. However, the past few years have been especially memorable thanks to having Delfino Gonzales as our concierge. He has been remarkably responsive and professional while assisting us with everything from registration and checkout, to restaurant reservations, to overseeing a maintenance issue with our room despite it happening during his day off. Delfino has been extraordinary – and it's been a pleasure to get to know him over the years. We look forward to seeing him again next Spring.

Such a disappointment
While we have traveled to Mexico several times before, this is our first and last visit to Pueblo Bonito at Sunset Beach. We are currently on day 3 of a 7 day trip. The staff is magnificent. So far, no complaints at all. However...... We are in a building that should be closed. The elevator doesn't work 70% of the time. And when it does, its a crap shoot whether a person will be caught in the doors that shut no matter what you do. We've witnessed room service carts and housekeeping carts in the vice-like grip of the doors while staff struggle to open them . Elderly people with canes negotiating the poorly lit stairs, no railing for them and some floors have no lighting at all. We are on the 4th floor in a 2 suite unit. Thank God we are capable of climbing and descending stairs! Our suite is extremely musty. No matter how much air conditioning we use, the damp stagnant odor doesn't go away. Today i looked up in the shower and found the source. The ceiling is full of mold. Today was the first warm shower, not hot but warm enough that I wasn't shivering and crying when I finished. We have met many people who have been coming here for 20 years and all have said the same thing...."they spent all their money expanding and have neglected upkeep." When its raining, we are stuck to a disgusting suite. Unacceptable and shameful. Stay far, far away from building 27. Also not fans of perfumed toilet paper. They ask about food allergies at every food outlet but only provide toilet paper that causes a rash in sensitive areas. Such a bummer so far.
