Resort Details
- Emerald GrillThis attractive bistro setting by the main pool serves specialty offerings throughout the day.
- La CordeliereOffers fine ocean-view dining in its casually elegant interior or al fresco on the shaded terrace – the perfect place for masterfully prepared meals and festive theme night buffets. The naming of La Cordeliere is a tribute to an important time in Mazatlán's history when a small group of valiant local men warded off the invasion of the awesome French warship for which the restaurant is named.

Great property , dining is 3 - 4 stars
Beautiful property , greatly maintained gardens , waterfalls , beach . Clean comfortable rooms , beds . Hard working , friendly all service people : gardeners , maids , pool / towel desk staff , cooks , cart drivers , waitresses - Thank you All ! Special thanks to our favourite "Bistro" restorant : Chef cook Yesus - for innovative creations and delicious meals Manager Gustavo - great organizer , attentive to all customers , remembering guests preferences , making restaurant run as a clock . Waitresses : Jocie , Alexandro in "Bistro" , Jairo and Damian in "Cordeliere". Hostess Vane , our maid Maria and front desk most welcoming assistant Fernando - who made our stay great with room choice according to our wishes & needs . Only one reason we gave 4 stars - no lunch served in "Cordeliery " restaurant ( but was advertised like it was ). Pool grills serve usual fried food , not enough tables and too hot outside to have a meal. Breakfast , supper menu is very mediocre in "Cordeliery ", no cold cuts & cheese choice , meat , fish one kind and always in gravy , no seafood like shrimps , crabs etc. Too much beans , not enough vegatables There is no grill to fry meat cuts to your preferences as in most 4 - 5 stars hotels . Very hot , insane spicy dishes not marked , I had to throw away whole plate - it was imposable to eat . And no coffee machines for cappuccino , espresso , americano varieties , if you ask - they have something at back like one , but waitresses do not know how to make it ( with exception of 1 -2) , it is pots with coffee offered . Very frustrating in the morning and afternoon . Highly recommend for management to invest in small cafe on this huge property for coffee, pastries to take out as in most hotels now , it will free waitresses in restaurants from special request and guests occupying tables for coffee. Otherwise its great place .

What a pleasant surprise !!
What a beautiful resort. Rooms, food, service, cleanliness was superb. The shuttle bus to the sister resort is a great idea. The pool by the Bistro was so tranquil and perfect depth and temp. Seeing deer, armadillo and many birds was so eco-like. Going back to this resort is no question. Now, a shoutout to the many staff who made our stay a pleasure: Felipe, bar server @ Bistro pool: excellent service, friendly & knowledgeable about Mazatlan in general. Hope he looks after Larry, the iquana. Miguel, chariot (golfcart) driver: kept us laughing the whole time he drove us around. Fernando, check-In: polite, explained everything at check in, professional. Sergio, pool/towel guy: so friendly & helpful at all times. The many servers at both the Bistro (Jonathan comes to mind) and buffet were amazing. All in all, this stay was excellent. To all the staff: muchas gracias !!

First time at PB Emerald Bay will be back for sure.
We had an awesome week at PB Emerald Bay. Shout outs, Fernando at reception who was extremely friendly and accommodated our need for rooms close together. Check in and check out was so easy. Filepe Orendain, at the Bistro pool, made each day fun and helped with Spanish lessons. We hope you and your family enjoyed your vacation! Miguel who drove us around this big resort and kept us laughing with his stories and movie quotes. Your family is beautiful. Sergio and Diego at the towel stand by the Bistro, very friendly and helpful with anything you need. Vane who greeted us each morning at the Bistro and all the servers in the Bistro and buffet who were so friendly. So many to name, Juan, Jonathan, Mario, Diego, Manuel. Many staff we spoke to have been at this resort a long time and are very happy, which was really nice to hear, it also makes their attitude toward guests very pleasant. What do folks need to know? At check in, do not get caught up in the time share folks in the lobby, they will tell you you need to scan your bracelet to get pool towels but this is done at check in. Brilliant idea you get a bracelet at check in and this is also your room key. No searching for a key card. It is a little annoying that you have to scan it each time you eat, but I understand it is for stats for the hotel. The resort is big, but there are shuttles with very friendly drivers to take you anywhere you want to go. They would always ask if you were okay and needed a ride. The food is excellent and desserts some of the best I have had at any resort. The breads and butter mixtures and oil mixtures were so flavourful. Hats off to the chefs at this resort. There is always something to eat. The pizza was fantastic at the Bistro. The deli has cream/liquid coffee mate etc. that you can buy if you like to take your own coffee. Breakfast in the Bistro was always delicious. Water and beer - no this is not stocked in your fridge. But we had no issue with getting bottles of water at the buffet or Bistro/pool to take to our room. Same with beer, you can ask for cans of beer to take to your room. The junior suite was big, almost a full kitchen, you can bring/buy food if you want. Microwave in the room and a full fridge. I would have liked and electric kettle to make tea or coffee but the microwave worked fine for instant and there is a full coffee pot with filters to make a pot. The rooms are a little dated but were clean. Thank you Mirianna. We did have some little bugs in the kitchen in 2423 going up and down the door frame to the living area and the patio door was hard to open from the outside without a handle on it, but was fine for the week. Beds were good pillows were okay. Showers had lots of pressure and hot water, never an issue. Being a smoker I was concerned about being able to smoke with the new smoking rules in Mexico. There are designated areas to smoke but folks were smoking on their patio's. Some even at the pool (locals) You can just ask staff where you can smoke. Just a request if you smoke be respectful use a empty water bottle or the garbage, don't use the ground as an ashtray. This resort is outside of Mazatlan and is very quiet, no vendors on the beach and no nightly entertainment depends on what you like to do. There is a shuttle each hour that will take you to the sister hotel PB Mazatlan which is in town and there are restaurants and bars in that area. The shuttle comes back on the half hour and is free. The sister resort is also where all the al a cartes are although the main buffet at Emerald Bay, La Cordeliere has a different theme each night.

Amazing, beautiful, relaxing trip!
We absolutely LOVED our villa! The resort itself was beautiful, everything was perfect! We spent the week exploring the resort, pools, beach, restaurants, finding all the different statues and just experiencing everything! The staff was AMAZING! Kudos to everyone! Miss our friend, Primo, learned a lot of history from him!
