I had such an amazing time here!!! The bad reviews made me worried but honestly everything was so fantastic. The people on the Cofresi team were so welcoming and kind, it was a highlight of my trip. The Guest Services team members Ariana and Jenny made my sister and I feel so welcome and they were also very experienced and resourceful. The place is beautiful. As a general note, if you don’t enjoy walking at all, they have shuttles but for me, the walks felt like strolling in paradise so what could there possibly be to complain about? If you are a picky eater, again, they do have a ton of options. For me, every meal including the buffet had fresh omelettes, fish on the grill, skewers hot and fresh. Protein is the most important part of my meals, and it’s usually hard for me to get sufficient protein on vacation. I even brought my protein shakes, but honestly the resort had tons of freshly cooked delicious protein options. Again, what could I even complain about? Hands down the best meal is the Brazilian steakhouse. I live in a Brazilian neighborhood with fantastic steak options in the US, but this place was honestly… dare I say better. Must try, make sure to show up for dinner ready to eat because they go around tableside with unlimited cuts of steak, ribs, grilled chicken, turkey, etc. and every single meat tasted so fresh off the grill. Another tip, you can carry a stack of $1 and $5 bills for easy tipping. And trust me, the service is so great, all the team members are so friendly you really should be tipping them. They always go above and beyond for the guests when they can. Our room was clean. The cleaners came every day at 10 am sharp to refresh things. No toilet paper in the toilets but that seems like a rule in every toilet I used in Puerto Plata, including the airport. We had not a single bug and the AC was so strong we actually got cold at night and had to increase the temperature. The room was so spacious, twice the size I expected. Our building was about 30 seconds walk to the nearest pool/bar, and 60 seconds walk to the beach. I almost forgot to say, I hands down recommend getting a spa massage at Ying Yang Spa. I got mine done at the Ying Yang at Tropical with Paola. It was one of the best massages I’ve gotten anywhere (including Thailand and other places across Europe, Asia, and the US).

My new favorite resort and vacation country!
I just got back from my stay at Cofresi, and wow! It was phenomenal. The all-inclusive experience was everything I could have asked for—every meal was delicious, the buffet was so amazing! They had a pasta station salad every night, burger and grill station. Drinks were NOT again I repeat NOT watered down like other all-inclusives. The staff made me feel like royalty, everyone is always smiling and ready to lend a hand. The resort itself is gorgeous, with stunning ocean views and tons of activities. It's really big so they offer golf carts for quick transport. Honestly, I enjoyed it thoroughly, I'm already planning to come back! Guest services Jenny and Ariana made our trip that much more special. These staff members go above and beyond to deliver. I truly appreciate all of you. They made this resort personable and one we'd return to again and again. Thank you Cofresi!

Only complaints I have were my room was hot they couldn’t fix the AC and it was difficult to make reservations. Everything else was great!

Great place to stay
the hotel was extremely accommodating and the rooms were amazing kitchen living from and dining area and separate bedroom view spectacular and the hotel staff were extremely kind and helpful
