Wow! We booked this last minute, just looking for any cheap getaway. We were really pleasantly surprised! The hotel is definitely aging but super clean and well kept. Rooms are comfortable albeit old and boring but fully functional with a beautiful big balcony (1575 for us, very well located). I’ll start with the minor irritations.. wifi sucks, a lot of the pool and beach chairs are broken and the a la carte booking is not accommodating to people who like to sleep past 730am. Overlooking that… the beach is amazing! Go farther down to the right facing the water, no coral, smooth sand. The main pool gets busy and loud but the quiet pool is great. Just no food or drink down there but the bathrooms are open. Food was repetitive but that’s literally all buffets. Very flavourful, we didn’t have a bad meal. Always fresh fruit and self serve drinks make it convenient and quick. A la cartes alternate between steakhouse and Italian, both delicious! We were a couple of the handful of tourists on site, especially on the weekend it’s mainly local guests which was cool and gave us all the culture we travel for. If that bothers you, strongly suggest you stay in Canada for an abundance of Canadians. The main bar gets busy and the bartenders are impressive dealing with so many guests quickly. Loved the little boulevard between bachata and the senator, the coffee shop especially. Get out! We rented a car for two days ($100 CAD per day) and went to Big Lees for lunch, downtown and visited Sosua and Cabarete. Fresh mangos literally falling on your head everywhere at this time of year 😊 Special shout out to Nelbi at reception, who helped us with everything we needed. Beautiful weather, beautiful trip. On a budget, this is a great pick.

Monkey was so fun and just made our stay amazing!!! Great lively experience. Events for all types of people, calm, and more energetic. The beach is gorgeous and clean. Lots of shops to look at and explore. Fun and vibrant workers. Overall extremely enjoyable stay! Recommend this place for an unforgettable family experience.

We had a great time. Great people, good food amazing beach.
We really enjoyed this resort. We were there Two weeks May 9 to 23 2025. Beach was clean and empty. Room was great, pillows could have been a little better , kinda hard. Staff amazing, pools great, food did get boring after two weeks but was quality, great fish, grouper, good steak etc. fruit was always amazing. On weekends it is opened up to DR residents and rightly so but does increase the pop by 500 so expect that, longer lines and crowded pools with kids on the weekends, expected, go to the beach. In general, we had a great time, great price, 1250 cdn each two weeks all in from MTL.

May 24, 2025Day 2 of 7 — feeling supported
Review in English I’m currently staying at the hotel — it’s day 2 of my 7-day trip. I just arrived from Toronto, and things in general have been different than I expected. I’ve been dealing with a lot of anxiety, especially while traveling, and Abigail helped me yesterday in a way that made a big difference. Knowing she’s here for the rest of my stay gives me a lot of comfort. Food is a big issue for me because I have obsessive-compulsive disorder and a health condition that I take medication for. This has become an unexpected challenge during my stay, and Abigail is going to help me with it moving forward. She’s kind of like my foster mom while I’m here — someone I feel I can turn to. She works in the main building near the main reception and helps with things like restaurant reservations. If you need any help or just someone to talk to, I recommend going to her. ⸻ Reseña en Español Actualmente me estoy hospedando en el hotel — es el día 2 de mi viaje de 7 días. Llegué desde Toronto, y en general las cosas han sido diferentes a lo que esperaba. He estado lidiando con mucha ansiedad, especialmente al viajar, y Abigail me ayudó ayer de una manera que marcó una gran diferencia. Saber que ella estará aquí durante el resto de mi estadía me da mucha tranquilidad. La comida es un gran tema para mí porque tengo trastorno obsesivo-compulsivo y una condición de salud por la que tomo medicación. Esto se ha convertido en un desafío inesperado durante mi estadía, y Abigail me va a ayudar con eso en adelante. Es como mi madre de acogida mientras estoy aquí — alguien a quien siento que puedo acudir. Ella trabaja en el edificio principal, cerca de la recepción principal, y ayuda con cosas como las reservas en los restaurantes. Si necesitas ayuda o simplemente alguien con quien hablar, te recomiendo acudir a ella

madonna and happyboy is the best entertainer ever, with the aerobics really good excersize, the best pf the best we hope we see you guys again amd we def coming back noy giys keep your expectations realistic bring your snacks and stop complaining about things be realistic!!
