  Flower rider experience

  Joachim and Xavier were amazing at the flow rider. My sons spent a whole day having fun and learning a new skill. We will do this again on another future trip.

  Excellent resort with great and friendly staff! Everyone was super helpful and accomodating for all of your needs.

  The entire staff at the planrt Hollywood resort were amazing and friendly. The food was excellent at the buffet and all the resteraunts. The entertainment ataff was amazing and the nightly shows kept you entertained and engaged. If you have the opportunity to try the flowrider, Xavier and Joachim will take good care of you and your children so that you can learn quickly and easily.

  Birthday in the sun

  Came here to celebrate my 70th birthday, we were here 2 weeks Stayed Star Class swim up, our view was amazing, waking up to the sound of the ocean The room was a little tired , quite a few small repairs needed hence the 4 out of 5 Food in Star Class really good Ala carte breakfast every day , over all quality of food wherever you eat is really good, something for everyone Grounds and hotel pristine What really made our holiday special were our butlers Angel and Edwar, they were amazing, nothing was too much trouble On my birthday, our room was decorated, birthday cake and champagne Edwar even sung Happy Birthday to me in Spanish, what an amazing voice he has

  Excellent! Ignacio Cruz Butler Service

  Our stay at Royalton Planet Hollywood Cancún (Star Class Junior Suite) was truly outstanding thanks to the incredible service we received from the staff. Our butler, Ignacio Cruz, was phenomenal and truly elevated our entire experience. He seamlessly handled all of our dinner reservations, activities, and any requests throughout our stay. Ignacio was proactive, attentive, and always checking in on us — especially while we were at the pool — making sure everything was perfect. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made our vacation completely stress-free. We also want to give special recognition to Oscar, who provided excellent poolside service. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were always taken care of while relaxing by the pool. Lastly, Erika from housekeeping did an amazing job. Our room was consistently spotless, well-stocked, and refreshed daily, which made coming back to our suite a pleasure every time. This team truly made our Star Class experience unforgettable. They are all incredible assets to the resort, and we would absolutely return.

  Soak in the sun, make the memories. It’s not perfect but damn close!

  Stayed here in December 2025 with family (2 boys under 10). We stayed star class in the junior suite ocean view. The check in process took forever.. we got our room and it had 1 king bed and a pull out but had asked for 2 beds. The pull out had no pillows so we had called front desk a couple times for some as our butler didn’t respond. Apparently there was a waiting list for pillows that we were on so the first night the kids had no pillows. Day 1 we spent at the beach which was absolutely beautiful. Service at the beach was top notch. There was a family behind us on the beach and the husband/father was extremely rude to the resort staff. We noticed this happened quite often at this resort… not sure why.. we have travelled to other resorts and never experienced the ignorance of some of the guests as we did at this hotel. Day 2 was spent by the pool and it was lovely. The pool was very clean and again, service was great. We had 2 chairs by the main pool and I used the lounger in the pool as well. I took the kids to the bathroom and another family had taken over our spot when I returned (I was gone maybe 10 minutes). We did reclaim it and they ended up trying to take over the chairs beside us while the family using them had gotten into the pool. We ate at the main buffet, star class breakfast buffets (Shores), the burger joint, the hot dog trailer, the Italian (pizza at lunch…the pizza was not cooked. The dough was still raw) the steakhouse and the Asian/tepanyaki. Our favourite was the steakhouse. Our room was clean, a little musty but I was happy with the cleanliness. The bathroom does show signs of wear and tear but it didn’t ruin the trip. Our last night we came out of dinner at 6:45 and all of the seating by the main stage area was “taken”. People had left bags, coats, sunscreen, cups on the chairs to save them while they were gone to dinner. We did find a spot to sit but we couldn’t see the show. The shows all seemed to start at 9pm which we found a bit late compared to others we have stayed at. There were several people smoking in this area which was a bit annoying as there were many of us sitting in this area with little kids (again going back to the ignorance of some guests). Would I come back? Possibly. The constant fighting for seating at the beach, pool or evening show is a bit annoying but I think overall this place was lovely. Would I do star class again? Probably not. The butler booked our dinners with us on day 1, put us on a wait list for pillows and that’s it.. it was nice to have the star class breakfast buffet though it was much smaller than the main buffet, it was less crowded and had great food options. There’s definitely a lot for the kids to soak in at this resort. I’m not disappointed that we chose to stay here.
