I was in room 11404 and our Butler J was absolutely amazing. I see big things for her. Very professional and thorough. . The resort is absolutely amazing. The food was good. The DJ in the sports bar got the party started. It was an amazing experience that I'm grateful to have been a part of.

Dylan was incredible. Very nice and super helpful to make our night con amigos special. The food was great and we had no judgment for our 9 entress for 4 people. The support staff was very helpful in our requests and Dylan remained a king. We loved our experience 10/10.

Apr 28, 2025Costa Rica Family Vacation
Our family of three recently returned from a vacation at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica, and we wanted to share our overall experience at the resort. We opted for the Star Class upgrade, which we found to be worth the extra cost. While there were many positives, there were also a few areas that could use improvement. Resort: The resort is beautifully maintained with stunning views. Although the terrain is quite steep, golf carts are readily available to transport guests from one place to another, and the drivers are always friendly. The staff does an excellent job of keeping everything spotless, and the resort never felt overcrowded, which we appreciated. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and escorted to Star Class for check-in, where we met our personal agent, Max. Having a Star Class agent was invaluable for making restaurant reservations and keeping us updated on activities throughout our stay. Rooms: We stayed in an Ocean View room in Building 10 on the 2nd floor, and the views were breathtaking. Despite being farther from the pool and beach, the views made it worthwhile. The room was clean and stocked daily with water and beverages, providing ample space for the three of us. The waterfall shower was a nice touch, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Although we experienced some noise from partiers in the hallways on a couple of nights, this was not the norm and did not reflect the overall atmosphere of the resort. Pools: We enjoyed both the main pool and the Star Class pool. The main pool has a designated area for Star Class guests with umbrellas, and we had no trouble finding a spot in the mornings. The ground can get very hot, so it's advisable to wear something to protect your feet. The drinks were standard for an all-inclusive resort, and while the pool bars can get busy, the bartenders are extremely friendly. We preferred the Star Class pool for its less crowded and more relaxing environment. The bar service there was outstanding, and the spa staff occasionally offered free aloe treatments, which were lovely. Beach: The beach features black sand and can get very hot in the afternoon, so wearing shoes is recommended. Although not many people ventured into the water, we did during high tide and found it clear and clean. We enjoyed daily walks on the beach, despite the occasional annoyance from vendors. I had a fantastic massage from the ladies in green by the beach for $50, which I highly recommend. Restaurants/Bars: Overall, we found the food to be just okay compared to other resorts we've visited. Our Star Class agent, Max, made reservations for us on the first night, but we couldn't secure reservations for the first two nights and ended up at the buffet. Max resolved a hiccup with one of our reservations, and our favorite dining experience was at the Hibachi restaurant, where the food was good and our cook, Javier, was friendly and attentive. We consistently enjoyed the Star Class breakfast at Blue Star. The Tex Mex and Steakhouse were decent, with the Tex Mex manager making fantastic table-side margaritas. Our least favorites were the buffet, Italian, and Guy's. Lunch at the Star Class pool was better, and the sports bar OT offered great bar food, perfect for a snack before a late dinner. The Premier Bar in the lobby was the best, with Steven and Fabian providing excellent drinks and customer service. The biggest improvement needed is the food quality and reservation system, as it can be difficult to change reservations or find alternatives. Entertainment/Gym: The resort offers a variety of nightly entertainment, which we enjoyed when not too tired from the sun. The Sports Bar also provided fun evening activities. The main pool area was always lively, and the staff genuinely cared about ensuring guests had a good time. The gym was well-maintained with a variety of equipment. We took yoga classes with Gaelle, who is one of the best instructors I've ever had, and I will miss her classes. Excursions: We highly recommend Tours with Frank the Tank Frank The-Tank CR! Frank and his team are professional and kind, and their tour guides are equally impressive. I plan to write a separate review for Frank and his company, as they truly are the best.

PH Costa Rica Fairytale Wedding
We had the most magical wedding at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica. Adrian and the onsite wedding team are amazing!!! Allison, Yennifer, Johannia the general manager and staff went above and beyond to create a true fairytale wedding. We were skeptic at first with the virtual coordinators communication but the onsite team took care of us and our guests. Special shoutout to Gonzalo our butler. He provided excellent customer service, was thoughtful and included a few surprises to make our weekend special. I would recommend them hands down!!
