    Angel and Edwar best Butlers!

    Angel and Edwar ... Hands down the best butlers we have ever had on a trip! The resort needs more activities: little to none at the pools and after 5 the activities were a bore. No foam parties while there. Lazy river fountains didn't work all the time. A lot of of the dinner staff was grumpy. We still had an amazing trip since we were not at work!

    Edwar and Angel best Butlers EVER

    If it wasn't for our butlers Edwar and Angel the trip wouldn't be amazing! They were the best EVER! So thankful for everything they did for us!

    Stay Away from Planet Hollywood in Costa Mujeres, Mexico

    Stay Away !!! Filthy swimming pool , no toilet paper in woman's bathroom at the pool and we told them and they didn't seem to care. The bartenders are told by the supervisor to serve only cheap alcohol. We paid for star class and received the worst class. They have the good alcohol in the cooler right under the counter and even though we upgraded we would have to get a supervisor involved and them all of sudden, we got the good stuff. We asked for ice for our room and room service told us to go the bar outside and get it ourselves. No one cleaned the pool for 3 days and you could see the algae. Very dirty resort. We have been to the RIU at least 15 times and had great service. This is the worst service I have ever had. There is much more , but you get the idea. Stay Away.

    Great time at PH

    We had an excellent time at PH, kids and adults alike. Our butler Javi was amazing! He took care of everything we needed, was able to answer all our questions, was very attentive and responsive. Angel who helped us plan our excursions was also awesome! He helped us pick outings that our whole family really enjoyed.

    Daughters graduation vacation

    We stayed for 5 nights and we did enjoy our time there. This is not our style of resort, we came here because it would be more fun for our daughter and her friend. We stayed in star class and had great butlers Trinidad and Tona. They helped us with our dinner reservations and made sure we had a great stay. The property is beautiful but the rooms had a musty smell. There was a dehumidifier waiting for us in our room, we had to empty it 2-3 times a day. We have stayed at other resorts in the Caribbean and have not seen this issue. I am not sure if it is inadequate air-conditioning or just that much more humidity. I was unaware when we booked the vacation that the star class pool was a family pool. Not a big problem but just didn't know. I do think that there is a problem with keeping non star class people out of the star class areas. The pool bar and grill in the star class area has a bartender named Chris and his helper Yonson. They were fantastic, made that stay worth it, made great drinks and took care of us all week. One of my biggest issues is the food in this resort. The Braza steak house was good but not great. That was the best restaurant on property. I like good food and maybe I am spoiled with the restaurants we go to. The restaurants on property had food service level food. Desserts were all premade in an industrial kitchen nothing was made on property. To some up our stay the property was good, the food was inadequate, and the staff was good.
