Oct 21, 2026Melia Paradisus Grand Cana
⭐️ 3.5/5 Stars: Great Rooms and Food, but Very Large and Family-Focused Overall Impression We recently stayed at the Paradisus Grand Cana and had a good experience, though it ultimately wasn't the perfect fit for our personal travel style. We are giving it 3.5 stars primarily because we prefer smaller, more quaint resorts, whereas this is a very large, family-centric property. Outstanding Service What truly made our stay memorable was the incredible staff. We want to give a huge shout-out to our concierge, Catherine, and the Guest Services Supervisor, Ms. Jo. They, along with the rest of the resort staff, went above and beyond to help us and take care of our family throughout the trip. Rooms & Accommodation The rooms here are spacious, clean, and highly comfortable. The front desk staff was incredibly amenable and accommodating. They did a fantastic job placing us in the exact type of room we were looking for—whether you want a quiet zone, a swim-up room, or a spot close to the kids' water park. Location & Beach Access The resort is located within a massive 5-resort complex and is situated near the beach rather than directly on it. However, getting to the sand is incredibly easy. A convenient trolley is available at any time to whisk you down to the shore, where you can also enjoy a dedicated beach restaurant. Dining & Restaurants The quality of the food was very good across the board. The main drawback, however, was the dining logistics. Securing reservations was a major issue at almost every restaurant. The only place where we didn't struggle to get a table was Lemon Fish, which unfortunately happened to be the one restaurant we weren't thrilled about. If you love a bustling, large-scale family resort with top-tier service, excellent rooms, and great food, this is a fantastic choice.

Beautiful resort with great service & an amazing staff!
If you can, get a master swim up suite, that’s all I have to say! What a time. If you’re looking for a bar with fresh ingredients, quality liquor and a variety of options you won’t be disappointed. The food was also amazing, just try to book restaurants because the buffet might be limited during low season for dinner like it was for us, regardless we ate well! It’s a beautiful resort with a modern gym, peaceful spa, clean rooms and amazing employees. Special shoutout to the bartenders Jorge, Yan & Yo! Samira & Ricky in entertainment were the missing vibe we didn’t know we needed! Also can’t forget Ronald who was great by the pool on a daily! Gracias a todos!
