not great according to the web site
I stayed there for 7 days and could not wait untill this vacation would be over. The food in the buffet was excellent. There was poor entertaiment in the evening, In the evening was very boring and not fun that at 9 pm we were in our room. There is nothing to do if your age is between 40 and 60. They have a night club which is very small and crowded and mainly designated to the young people. In the swimming pool was boring also. Water was super cold Not too many activities were there either. I previously was staying in the different resorts and this one was the worse and not cheap. This is my first time when I regret being there.
Unsanitary & Stingy
If you are even considering booking here, for the sake of your vacation, please keep looking. I have traveled to Mexico every year for the past 5 years and this was by far my worst experience and it’s not even close. I’ll preface this by saying I stayed at a Melia property in Cabo San Lucas, a 4 star, which was absolutely amazing so naturally I expected nothing less from their Cancun 5 star location. That proved to be a mistake. This resort is dirty, has a poor smell, the rooms are poorly cleaned, you are nickel & dimed for everything the minute you get to the property, and their service is horrible. Starting at the beginning — check-in. They are constantly trying to up-sell you for higher priced rooms, services, etc. They offered a “luxury” room for an extra charge of $260. I negotiated it down to $180. Fine. Upon arriving to the room, I immediately notice a dingy, dirty looking rug in the seating area. Stained throw pillows on the bed, and stuck-on food on the spa brochure (shown) I went downstairs and asked for a new room, hoping that had just been an isolated incident. They check me into a new room. Same thing — dirty rug, stained pillows and this time I even found a blonde hair in the bedsheets. I have black hair. Even more disgusting — I turned over the comforter and found a dried yellow liquid stain on the inside (pictured). I was absolutely horrified, especially with the serious concerns over coronavirus and the spread of germs. From then on, every minute I spent in the room was miserable, wondering what had actually been cleaned or replaced and what hadn’t. That is no way to spend a vacation you spent your hard earned money on. I expressed my concerns to their management and I was told that they “looked into their housecleaning processes and found nothing wrong”. They offered absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. In addition, the nickel & diming was pathetic for a so-called 5 star resort. Never have I been to an all-inclusive resort that charged for room service, especially since it’s the only food option after the restaurants and buffet close. They charge $5 per order and the best part — there’s a good chance your order will be wrong, as mine was all 3 times I ordered. They also charge a whopping $200 per day to use their beach beds. You are forced to a purchase a “package” which includes a bottle of champagne. Tough luck if you don’t drink I guess. Also, you will be turned away at their restaurants if you don’t make a reservation even if there’s barely anyone there. And to top it off, the food is extremely mediocre, except for the taco restaurant. In short, it seems at this place their goal is to make your vacation as difficult and expensive as possible. With emphasis on the latter. There are too many resorts in Cancun with way better value to waste a minute of your vacation or spend a penny of your hard-earned money here. But if strangers’ hair and unidentifiable stains in your bed, and poor food and service sounds like your dream vacay, then book away!
Amazing Amazing Amazing
My wife and my 2 sons stayed at the Parasidus for 11 days. I'm a picky traveller and I have travelled extensively around the world. We stayed in a Family concierge suite in the main Pyramid. The property is impeccable and beyond clean. Our Concierges were Violeta and Alexa. They are the most amazing individuals you could have. They did everything to please us ( organised a romantic diner on the beach for my wife and I, recommended restaurants, booked restaurants, catered to every little steps of our trip) I feel very thankful for their hospitality and Mr. Rodriguez is very lucky to have such staff within the premises. All the staff in general have been amazing. The food was fantastic, lots of options for picky eaters and kids. The kids pool was perfect for us, we had a cabana most days and loved the depth of the pool for our younger child. Beach is spectacular 2 points, I'd like to mention to Mr. Rodrigues as feedback. #1 I was approached very rudely by one of the buffet hostess as we tried to bring some food back to our room. I feel like she could have simply talked to us about the policy at the hotel and perhaps provide more convenient container. I felt very embarrassed #2 Coco bar staff were also quite rude. My wife and I were simply trying to have a drink one night and we got no service from anyone, yet they were helping younger people to get hammered. They should pay attention to everyone... Perhaps the quiet ones are the biggest tipper as well Miss the Paradisus already
Great time with our two kids!
Everything was exceptional. The rooms were clean, the beach was breath taking and the pools were nicely maintained. The food was great as well, some restaurant were better than others. All the staff seemed caring and very friendly. Only recommendation the gym needed updating. The baby club was excellent, MAY & NICOLE were amazing.

When I called the concierge, they only talked about the change through the agency and they seemed unwilling to deal with the problem. I tried to speak to the Expedia that day, but I had to listen to the information message that couldn't be connected all day because of the high volume of coronavirus. I was able to speak with Expedia late in the evening, and a representative called Paradisus, but the call was not established. So the person in charge sent an email to Paradisus with relevant information. When I arrived in Paradisus the next day, I explained the situation, but I had to be told that my reservation was closed the day before and I didn't receive any e-mails. But the more problem was their attitude. I explained the situation for about 5 minutes but asked to check out the next day as if it didn't matter at all.
