May 11, 2025Book your trip! Just do it!
The room and the view was beautiful. As soon as we arrived by transport to the hotel, Alberto welcomed us with a wonderful smile and two cold refreshing towels. He loaded up our luggage into his cart and each stop along the way to our room he pointed out spots to try. He highly suggested the “Cinco Elementos” dinner and it did not disappoint. Pilar and William were our personal butlers and did a wonderful job. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and on that day they left us a nice message in our room. Each day while we stepped out, we came back to a refreshed room. The shower was equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and even a loofah. (This is important as it means that there is less for me to have to pack!) The infinity pool attached to the room was lovely to be able to view out to the ocean. The see through floors at the entrance, bedroom, and bathroom/shower were great! It all adds to the experience. I forgot to mention that when we arrived the refrigerator was already fully stocked with waters and beers. One of the nights we enjoyed a buffet style Mexican dinner on the beach with a very entertaining show. The aguachiles verde was my most favorite dish. Overall, it is a must try, at least once.

Celebrating 65th Birthday with my sister and 2 best friends. Great resort for relaxation!
The photo you see on Trip Advisor of the overwater bungalow is exactly where we stayed. It was the 2 bedroom presidential suite. We had booked the swim up suite at El Dorado Maroma and at check decided to see if we could upgrade to Oceanfront at El Dorado or to the Palafitos Overwater Bungalows. We were very pleased the resort was willing to upgrade us for an additional charge to the Palafitos. My advice is to always book the exact suite you want as upgrades should never be expected. As to El Dorado Maroma there is not a bad room in the house! My favorite is ground floor anywhere if we can't get into a swim up. I especially liked the 2 story beachfront villas with a private pool and direct beach access with your own cabana. As to the actual stay, when we (2 sisters and 2 best friends) arrived at El Dorado Maroma checkin with Marabel was very pleasant. As with most travelers by the time we arrived at the resort we were a bit frazzled and Marabel was so accommodating and the front desk staff offered tequila shots which immediately took the "travel" edge off. The Palafitos experience was amazing and I would highly recommend it. The Palafitos restaurant was amazing and food superb. Really a once in a lifetime experience. Patricia the morning host at the Palafitos Restaurant went above and beyond. Julian our waiter 2 nights in a row was also amazing. He learned our likes and dislikes immediately and was always on the A game. It was my birthday and every time I turned around I had a plate of chocolates saying Happy Birthday or a dessert with Happy Birthday, even my room and bed had decorations one night. Both our butlers William and Pilar were amazing. Pilar had a lot to do as the day Butler to keep up with our drink and food needs. William kept up with our towel and pillow request. Four women in a two bedroom suite (literally a small cottage) was a handful I am sure. Enrique was always waiting for us to ride in the golf cart or just to make us feel special. One night we had dinner in the Wine Room at MIO. Jesus was our waiter and he was so genuine. Jesus made great recommendations and really made us feel special. We spent a lot of time in the Spa and I highly recommend Lily Marquez. I had 80 minute deep tissue, facial, and another 50 minute deep tissue. Honestly the best deep tissue massage I have ever had.

Highly recommend!!!
Amazing experience all around. From the moment we were picked up til we arrived back at airport. The food was spectacular and the service was fantastic. Special Thanks to Alberto as he was so warm and welcoming like every member of the staff. The entertainment was fantastic too. All around best resort in Mexico we have been to in over 10 visits. Highly recommend.

Mexico vacation 2025
We are first time guest of the hotel. We had a lovey time. The weather is good. We loved the beach. The bartenders and waiters are great. We love the pool volley ball. And the entertainment staff is amazing. Jerik, Marco, Osvaldo, Kevin, dj Chris and Alex are amazing.

Amazing visit, will return
Had an amazing time at a beautiful resort!! Would have extended if we didn’t have to make our way back. Fantastic room, beach, service. Incredible food & drinks. Special shoutouts to Fer, Liz, and Armando, as well as the Palafitos bartender & others for making our trip extra special. An absolute 5-star experience (coming from frequent global travelers).
