  Resort Entertainment Experience

  Alex, Gustavo, Osvaldo, Marco, Kevin, and Cristian made our stay at El Dorado Maroma one of a kind! They set up great activities for guests like beach volleyball, Mexican handcrafts, water aerobics and more. They always greet guests with positive, inviting energy that we have not experienced or often seen at other resorts. We cannot thank them enough for making our trip to El Dorado Maroma one to remember. It’s quite evident they truly care about the guest experience and put in real effort to make sure everyone is having a great time. We will definitely be coming back to El Dorado Maroma and next time with friends. Everyone needs to experience the passion the staff have here. It’s definitely unique and a wonderful experience.   Amazing Romantic Getaway

  My husband and I came here to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and stayed at the overwater bungalows for 3 nights. It exceeded all our expectations in the room, the food, the service, and the beach. From the beginning of our stay with Alberto helping with our luggage and giving us a short tour of the resort, to Dennys at check-in, Aldo and Fernando as our personal concierge, the wait staff, house keeping…all were fabulous. My husband and I travel multiple times a year and this is the best resort we have ever stayed at. The butler service, provided by Fernando and Aldo, was exceptional, both were very attentive and knew how to make our stay even more special for our anniversary. The beach is in great condition with shallow waters, and there is a dedicated beach for Palafitos members, featuring drink service, beach chairs, and canopy beds. The Palafitos restaurant was amazing on both nights we visited, showcasing their specialty weekend menu. The creativity and thought behind the dishes were evident in every bite. On another night, we dined at the Caribbean restaurant in the main resort, which was also excellent. The only disappointment was that we weren’t there long enough :( Both my husband and I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a romantic getaway to reconnect with their spouse or just to be at a beautiful, high quality resort. We will 100% be back!

  Awesome and over the top wonderful

  What an amazing vacation! From the moment we arrived until we were dropped off at the airport. The attention to detail is ridiculous, and above anything I have ever seen. By the second day, the staff knew us by name! And I would like to mention a few of them by name who were amazing. Patricia in the morning at the restaurant, from our very first day went out of her way to make sure that everything was exactly as we wanted it. At that same restaurant, Erik who was our server in the evening and also for our candlelight dinner on the beach, made everything so much better …even taste better by his awesome service and attention to detail. We went to the adjacent sister resort and had dinner at the Mexican restaurant, which I highly recommend (& also the Italian restaurant, Mio!) our server there, Elisio, had me smiling and enjoying everything even more with his wonderful personality. He knew that we loved the desserts the next day he remembered and brought us special desserts to our room. That was a wonderful added touch. We have a very interesting diet and the chefs curated & created everything especially for us!!! Last and definitely not least, was our personal staff. Alberto was always on the ready to take us wherever we needed. And we were assigned the 2 most amazing butlers, Fernanda & Liz. The level of service these women provided to me and my husband was beyond anything we had expected and now can’t imagine vacationing anywhere else. They completely spoiled us!! And went out of their way to make our 25th wedding anniversary a celebration and a day we will never forget. Yes, the accommodations and the location are exquisite. But it is always the people that make the experience. We had such an amazing time that before we even left we booked our next trip there!! And I will reach out to our two butlers before I arrive because I do not want anyone else to be taking care of us while we are there even though I’m sure whoever they would assign would be splendid. If you’re on the fence about indulging in a trip like this, allow me to give you a little push. You will not regret it. I know for sure I did not regret it.   Fabulous stay at El Dorado Maroma / Palafitos for New Years!

  This was our 4th trip to El Dorado Maroma & 1st time staying at the Palifitos. We had a fabulous time and celebrated the new year with family. The staff were amazing as always! So many people made our stay extra special, including our butlers (Pilar & Aimee, and Aldo), Alberto (our bellman extraordinaire!), Daniel & Rene at the bar, Rafael at the beach, Arturo at Lima Lemon, Arturo at Palifitos room service, and Alma & Herbert at the spa. Our experience overall was perfect. The food was amazing everywhere, especially at the Palifitos restaurant. There were some noticeable staffing issues, but every waiter took good care of us & the food came quickly once it was our turn. We had a lot of fun at the NYE party on the beach & at the Mio pool on NY day (foam party & great beats!)
