Things to Know

  • This luxury Barbados resort is an undiscovered gem. Everything here is new, and the staff are full of zeal and ready to please your every whim.
Ocean Two in Barbados is the ideal getaway for families, couples and friends who are looking for a true island escape and underwater adventure. Dotted with massive rock formations and a natural reef not far from shore, the calm, clear waters off Dover Beach are ideal for snorkeling. Those looking to submerge themselves in adventure more literally find plenty of scuba territory on the reef's far side.

Ocean Two offers a large sun deck replete with shady umbrellas that hover over cushy loungers. A convenient swim-up bar makes it certain that you're never without a fresh cocktail. Poolside cabanas are available for those who yearn for that queen-for-a-day feeling.

Taste Restaurant provides a solid continental breakfast, then goes Euro for a bistro-style lunch menu. Taste breaks out the big guns for dinner with an a la carte fusion of Caribbean and International flavors. For an assortment of exquisite after-dinner drinks, try the onsite Oasis Lounge or wander into St. Lawrence Gap for an uncensored introduction into Bajan nightlife.

Rooms at Ocean Two are tailor-made for comfort and convenience, offering in-room Wi-Fi, a balcony with full or partial ocean views, 400-thread-count linens, a rainfall shower, pillow-top mattresses and a granite double vanity. Throw in movies-on-demand and an iPod dock, and teens in the family are set for the evening.

For extra relaxation, guests can schedule an in-room or roof-deck-patio massage. And if you need to get away for a little "we" time, drop the munchkins off at the on-site kids' club. While they participate in treasure hunts and an array of island-style arts and crafts, you can run off for a quick round of 18 holes at the nearby Barbados Golf Club. The course at this club offers a sprawling 6,805-yd, par 72 challenge redesigned by Ron Kirby in 2000.

Great Location and Excellent Ocean Views

Although our visit was last summer, I thought with the lack of current reviews due to coronavirus this was still very relevant. We stayed in a one bedroom oceanfront suite for 4 nights and the view from the suite was excellent. The hotel itself is small so was perfect for us to stay in for a shorter amount of time (we only spent half our trip there) and is in a great location for people who don’t like to just stay in the hotel all day. The hotel amenities were modern and the chairs around the pool were very comfy. What makes this hotel stand out for me is the rooftop pool, which had stunning views of the island and was very quiet - we spent a whole day on the rooftop and we were the only people there! Another great aspect is having breakfast so close to the ocean. Although this hotel is smaller than some of the others on the island, its proximity to St Lawrence Gap means that there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. The staff were all friendly and Naria at reception was excellent. We are already planning another stay at the hotel.

    The best week!

We visited at the beginning of March and the only issue we had is that a week wasn’t long enough! We were incredibly grateful on arrival to be handed a rum punch followed by a room upgrade, doesn’t get much better! As I’m training for a marathon I used the gym every morning...which isn’t usual for me on holiday haha. It was empty BONUS and the equipment was perfect for what I needed. Couldn’t complain at all about breakfast, lots of options and always delicious. We ate lunch once I think at the restaurant, the wings were amazing! The ice lollies and popcorn which were handed out made our day everyday, what a lovely touch! The sun loungers around pool were sooooo comfy, since we’ve come home we’ve tried to find them online to buy! The sea was choppy however if you’re confident in the sea you can still go in to cool down for a nice little swim just be prepared to get your hair wet! You can also see turtles further out when sitting on the beach which is lovey! The staff made our holiday, they all couldn’t do enough for you and always had a smile on their faces! We can’t wait to come back!

The resort is perfectly located on a quiet, glorious beach, a short walk away from restaurants and live music. Our room was impeccable, with a magnificent view. Food was great, especially the breakfast buffet. Greg makes a perfect poached egg. All this aside, it is the incredible team, lead by the awesome Shireene Tulloch, at Oceans Two, that will live in my heart. Thank you to everyone there that took such great care of us during these crazy times. The entire staff went above and beyond to keep us happy and safe. Special thanks to Damien for dancing through his day and making us all happier with his glorious smile. Stay safe. We can't wait to come back ♥️

    Absolutely amazing

This hotel is fantastic and the staff are so friendly. When you check in you don't have to stand at the desk but instead are directed to a sofa with a free glass of punch or soft drink. That's a really nice touch. Our room was huge and the bathroom was almost as big! The rooms are great, the pool is great, the beach is great and the service from every member of staff provides top quality service. Plus it's in a fantastic location...alright there's building works but go down to the beach or the roof pool and you can't hear them! One word out to the guy that looks after you on the beach....he'll find you a bed he'll spray you with cooling liquid and be so happy all the time. If I could adopt him I would as he is happy 24/7. Sorry to my Man City supporter server....it ain't going to happen this year! ;-) Will I be back?....hell yeah!
