What We Love

  • The Ocean Two resort in Barbados rests in a secluded bay where giant rocks and a reef formation create tranquil waters ideal for snorkeling and diving.

Things to Know

  • This luxury Barbados resort is an undiscovered gem. Everything here is new, and the staff are full of zeal and ready to please your every whim.
Ocean Two in Barbados is the ideal getaway for families, couples and friends who are looking for a true island escape and underwater adventure. Dotted with massive rock formations and a natural reef not far from shore, the calm, clear waters off Dover Beach are ideal for snorkeling. Those looking to submerge themselves in adventure more literally find plenty of scuba territory on the reef's far side.

Ocean Two offers a large sun deck replete with shady umbrellas that hover over cushy loungers. A convenient swim-up bar makes it certain that you're never without a fresh cocktail. Poolside cabanas are available for those who yearn for that queen-for-a-day feeling.

Taste Restaurant provides a solid continental breakfast, then goes Euro for a bistro-style lunch menu. Taste breaks out the big guns for dinner with an a la carte fusion of Caribbean and International flavors. For an assortment of exquisite after-dinner drinks, try the onsite Oasis Lounge or wander into St. Lawrence Gap for an uncensored introduction into Bajan nightlife.

Rooms at Ocean Two are tailor-made for comfort and convenience, offering in-room Wi-Fi, a balcony with full or partial ocean views, 400-thread-count linens, a rainfall shower, pillow-top mattresses and a granite double vanity. Throw in movies-on-demand and an iPod dock, and teens in the family are set for the evening.

For extra relaxation, guests can schedule an in-room or roof-deck-patio massage. And if you need to get away for a little "we" time, drop the munchkins off at the on-site kids' club. While they participate in treasure hunts and an array of island-style arts and crafts, you can run off for a quick round of 18 holes at the nearby Barbados Golf Club. The course at this club offers a sprawling 6,805-yd, par 72 challenge redesigned by Ron Kirby in 2000.

The resort is perfectly located on a quiet, glorious beach, a short walk away from restaurants and live music. Our room was impeccable, with a magnificent view. Food was great, especially the breakfast buffet. Greg makes a perfect poached egg. All this aside, it is the incredible team, lead by the awesome Shireene Tulloch, at Oceans Two, that will live in my heart. Thank you to everyone there that took such great care of us during these crazy times. The entire staff went above and beyond to keep us happy and safe. Special thanks to Damien for dancing through his day and making us all happier with his glorious smile. Stay safe. We can't wait to come back ♥️

    Absolutely amazing

This hotel is fantastic and the staff are so friendly. When you check in you don't have to stand at the desk but instead are directed to a sofa with a free glass of punch or soft drink. That's a really nice touch. Our room was huge and the bathroom was almost as big! The rooms are great, the pool is great, the beach is great and the service from every member of staff provides top quality service. Plus it's in a fantastic location...alright there's building works but go down to the beach or the roof pool and you can't hear them! One word out to the guy that looks after you on the beach....he'll find you a bed he'll spray you with cooling liquid and be so happy all the time. If I could adopt him I would as he is happy 24/7. Sorry to my Man City supporter server....it ain't going to happen this year! ;-) Will I be back?....hell yeah!

    Great hotel best sunbeds

Great hotel, great location and I can thoroughly recommend it. Up graded to a Seaview room which is actually a one bedroom apartment complete with kitchen and spacious balcony. One point about the apartment, the lounge faces towards the sea onto the balcony at the front, while the bedroom is at the back with very limited natural light as it only has a small frosted window, facing a corridor. The staff cannot do more for you and make you feel really welcome. Of all the hotels I have stayed, Oceans Two has the best sunbeds not only by the pool but also on the beach and there’s never a problem to get one! There are three swimming pools, none of which are very large if you looking to do some serious swimming. Loads of good places to eat in Saint Lawrence Gap. Our favourite restaurant is called the Harlequin. It is advisable to book. You must try some of the small local street food shacks which offer excellent food at a very good price. Particular mention for My Friends Place, who had an excellent singer. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the buffet breakfast included was enjoyable with a good variety. This was in the open restaurant which is close to the beach. Not much nightlife in the hotel at night but with Saint Lawrence Gap so close by this was not an issue. Several places with live music. A nice touch at the hotel - they bring you cold towels on the beach plus ice lollies and popcorn in the afternoon. Always with a smile! Sandy beach, but not the best for swimming, as often had a red flag due to a strong current and rough water. One warning - they are building next door which has just started when we were there in February. We were told that this could take up to a year. In the hotel we heard no noise but by the pool and on the beach you did hear sounds of construction. Would I go there again? Yes without a doubt!

    Lifetime Memories to Savour!

I could say a million and one things about this superb hotel, from its excellent location, exquisite food unrivalled sea views from the beach, relaxed atmosphere and breathtaking views from our luxuriously appointed Penthouse Suite! The suite requires its very own review in itself! What is difficult to capture fully is the exceptional and indeed outstanding attitude and service by the whole team which continues to leave me somewhat taken aback! Shireene the personable and wonderful general manager steers an excellent ship with attention to detail, which is reflected in the teams consistent high standards throughout. I expect high standards and this was delivered! Having travelled to this hotel now three times in under a year I did not, hesitate to return with my family and friends to celebrate a significant birthday. The effort the staff team made to make this such a hugely special occasion exceeded expectations. A heart felt thanks is extended to all staff including, Naria, Katrina and especially Natalie King Assistant Manager who wowed me from my first hotel telephone enquiry, to to date with her amazingly outstanding service. It is her fault that I continue to return to this wonderful Island and hotel! I have travelled extensively world wide, and can truly say there are other great hotels .......and then there is Ocean Two Barbados which sets the bar far higher! Enjoy!
