Worst Service In The Western World
I am writing this review while we still have two days to go on our trip because this hotel already has clinched the title of the worst service of any hotel in the Western world. As I sit here writing, I am still waiting for fresh towels to be delivered, 2 1/2 hours after I called housekeeping to request them. Yesterday, when they cleaned the room they neither took the used towels out of the bathroom nor gave us fresh ones. We have left early in the morning on two of our first three days here for excursions, each time leaving the “Service” sign in the door. On only one of the three days had the room been cleaned when we returned. Yesterday, they made the beds but did not appear to have touched the bathroom or the balcony. This is an all-inclusive hotel where you are supposed to be able to request certain items be stocked in your mini-bar. The first day we called and told them what items we would like restocked each day. They were delivered a couple of hours later. Yesterday, it was not restocked so we called again and they were delivered an hour later. Today the staff member came and knocked on the door. He had his cart of items in the hall. I told him again what we wanted. He said I had to call the front desk to request it. He would not deliver them otherwise. He said they must be requested every day. I have stayed at other all-inclusive with mini-bars and they always automatically restock the mini-bar daily. We have eaten now in every restaurant. With the exception of Oro, the food has been just average. At Oro, we had to wait 40 minutes between the serving of our first course and the main course. Because of that, we are cancelling our second reservation there and will instead go to a restaurant outside of the hotel for our last meal here. I will exclude from this review the bartenders at each of the bars here which we have visited. They have been fine. Also, my partner has had three treatments at the Spa. They were very responsive in booking appointments and she was very happy with both massages she got. The facial she said was just average. There allegedly is a concierge. We have passed by the desk numerous times during regular hours. It was manned once. We went to the beach yesterday afternoon. All of the loungers were occupied. There were at least a dozen loungers and six umbrellas lying near the two beach attendants. We asked them to put two chairs and an umbrella up for us. The response was that they all were broken. The room we have, a Luxury Oceanfront Junior Suite, is very nice. The view is beautiful. But, I wouldn’t stay here again for free. If this review seems harsh, trust me that I haven’t mentioned other examples of poor or absent service.

Overall very good
Great location, staff and food!! The main bug bear was the fact that residents would "snag" sunbeds a some ungodly hour resulting in unable to select a sun lounger despite notices around the venue expressly forbidding this stating that any sun lounger reservations would be removed after an hour, this simply was not the case as so many reserved their loungers and disappeared for several hours.

Highly recommended
Fabulous stay. The room (and view) was fantastic - the staff are super helpful and always offering to go the extra mile. Meals at all the restaurants were excellent - the chefs and support team are to be commended. Would recommend.

Best people ever!
The people here are probably the nicest and coolest collective group I have met on and holiday in 40 years of travel! John the Ambassador does a heartfelt and heartwarming tour on arriving and tells you passionately that their mission is to ensure you have a great and peaceful time. And he was not wrong. So many lads and lasses in every department reflected John’s smile and approach and that was every in department from bar, cleaning, restaurant, front desk, the lot. I met one of the chefs on his break and he was genuinely interested in whether I’d come back to Barbados. A proud, warm and welcoming culture in a beautiful climate with the best sea we have ever seen!!
