    Perfect Getaway!

    Its exactly as described. Staff were all wonderful and with a smile! Food was excellent in the buffet ,it was our go to different theme everyday. Building 28 so very central. Ocean was warmer then the pools lol. They need to put screens on rooms so we can open to let air in without the critters lol. Our friends room was very strong and he was on oxygen so didn't help. Everything was close so good for people with mobility issues and a buggy is available to call if needed. I'd go back again!

    Great holiday

    We had a great stay Hotel grounds stunning Lovely large spacious rooms Food very good Staff away polite and friendly We went privileged well worth the extra. Our buttler Juan was helpful always smiling.Great to have they personal contact with one person every day if you had issues. We only had one our patio door catch broke Juan had that sorted every day I would highly recommend this hotel

    Great Stay (with 3 small caveats)

    To be 5 star then, to me, you need to be really good in everything, so whilst we had a really enjoyable stay at Ocean Maya Royale, there were 3 issues that I will mention below. However, firstly the many positives. All the staff (Reception, restaurant/bar, cleaners, gardeners, entertainment, etc.) were very friendly, welcoming and professional (with a special mention for Alfredo in the Hacienda). The resort itself was great – the location, the layout, the grounds (flora and wildlife) and the swimming areas. The rooms were spacious, clean and well looked after. There was a variety of interesting entertainment during the day. The 3 negatives to us were 1) on several occasions the food was lukewarm – possibly understandable in the buffet but also in the case of the Sports Bar and some of the restaurants, 2) the wine was not very good especially the Red (I know there are plenty of spirits to drink but it would have been nice to have wine with the meals) and 3) the main evening entertainment was at best average and some were poor. I would like to stress again that we did have an enjoyable time and would recommend Ocean Maya Royale to anyone subject to the 3 caveats.

    Fabulous hotel and staff team

    Wow, 5th time visiting Ocean Maya Royale, and always have a fabulous time. Would like to say a special mention to Juan- our butler, always there to help and support. Jesus who works so hard on the beach bringing us the most amazing cocktails. And finally a big mention to Viridiana and Moses from the animation team, who always bring a smile. We will be sure to be back next year, George @ Jo,xxx

    Family vacation and return visit to this resort.

    Kenddell is a hit! One of the main reasons we continue to come back here! He makes every trip better. We will continue coming back and looking forward to spend a week seeing him and the rest of the entertainment staff!
