    Time flew by

    My husband & I recently returned from our first stay at the Ocean Maya Royale. It is located about 40 minutes south of the Cancun airport near Playa del Carmen. We booked directly with the resort and used the included airport transportation. Our room was comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job, leaving fabulous towel art each day. We had plenty of washcloths, the AC worked fine, and we slept well. IMHO, the food is very good. We found something we liked at all of the restaurants. They’ve got a great staff. Many have been there for 10 years or longer and it shows. Ana made my morning cappuccino perfectly, with Leandro there to help. Alfredo & Angel took care of us at the buffet. Miguel, Eber, Diego, & Joni handled the pool bar with expertise: Marcelo, Kenddell, Moises, Susana and the rest of the entertainment team really have fun; which radiates throughout the resort. Octavio & Jorge were the best in the lobby bar. We met wonderful new friends. There is a cool vibe there. Unlike other resorts where folks pretty much keep to themselves, guests all seem like old friends as soon as you meet them. We felt right at home, time flew by and before I knew it, we were on our way home. We fell in love with this resort. I cannot wait to return to the Ocean Maya Royale!

    Went for a vacation but will be back just for the staff themselves! Keep working hard you guys are great!

    My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here this past week and can't begin to explain how pleased we were with everything! Special thanks to Kendell, Benji, Susana, and Viridiana on the entertainment team, Ana(?) from the photoshop, and to Jorge and Miguel on the bartending team. You all made such an effort to connect with us as guests, and we had an amazing time celebrating with you all.

    You’ll get thirsty, even in All Inclusive if not privilege!

    Currently staying here and would not recommend it, unless you’re going to pay extra for privilege. Staff attention is only towards privilege guests, (due to different coloured wristbands). All Inclusive is only for the food really, the service around the pool is infrequent and when going to the bar you get ignored while privilege guests arrive after and get served straight away, that’s why it’s worth bringing a larger reusable otherwise you’ll go thirsty!

    Fantastic Hotel

    Had a most amazing time at this hotel celebrating my 60th Birthday Lots of reviews stating you needed to upgrade to 'Premium' however we didn't and don't feel we missed out at all Rooms were big, clean and fridge replenished daily Staff couldn't do enough for you Location right on a sandy beach Site has buffet restaurant, Japanese restaurant, Italian restaurant, French restaurant, Mexican restaurant and a sports bar offering American diner style food. Food at all locations was fantastic. On top of this hotel had its own coffee shop serving cappuccinos to smoothies along with large selections of pastries and cakes Hotel has big reception area in which is main bar. Extensive range of drinks and cocktails included. And bar staff always willing to rustle up something not on menu.
