Not for parents with kids or pre-teens
Returned for my second stay at this resort 3 weeks ago. My first time at this resort was 2 years ago and it was fantastic! However two years later this resort was the absolute worst! As a mom looking for some alone time to rest and rejuvenate with a pre-teen I had nooooo where to leave my child to get some rest or even visit the beach or spa as the teens club you cannot leave a pre-teen by themselves, never mind teens never want their parents around well they can’t sit alone to play video games at this resort without a parent sitting less than 2 feet away. I had to take to child everywhere with me, could not use the spa or even enjoy a proper meal at Any of the dining restaurants. Do not stay here if you are traveling alone with a pre-teen or teen ! Also the female that oversees the teen club Neressa is beyondddd condescending and can use a lesson in being genuine and humbleness. Rooms: the rooms smells disgusting like rotten sewer ! All the rooms as I spoke with a few people and they stated the same and the cleaning staff is well aware of it ! They don’t not use any disinfectant in the rooms to even make it bareable. Food : is absolutely the worst I have had in Jamaica bare pickings some nights, apart for the jerk hut the is zeroooo authenticity and that’s if you can wait in line for an hour to get a piece of jerk chicken! Positive : thank you to Janelle at the Front Desk that remembered me from two years ago upon me checking in and made things better checking on our stay while there, she was an absolute Angel and they should invest in her development because she know what true hospitality is. I travel ever so often to Jamaica and resort I will not be staying again. One review won’t make a difference to this place but I hope this review changes the mind of ANY parent traveling with children especially a pre-teen.

3/20
Hours wasted fixing booking errors poor room conditions limited restaurant availability due to long periods of deep clean ( I heard they have a rat problem) An unexpected and justified extra charge on credit card. I got stung call when I returned home i highly feel that they sold my identification they take photo copies unprofessional handling of reservations Workers are treated like they work on a plantation. Some look hungry and they can't eat at he restaurant at all but lots of food is wasted daily. I slept most of the time because of the money that was stolen. The owners need to deep clean the rooms and a feed the staff so they look more enthusiastic.

Memorable Stay Def Worth a Return
Beautiful resort, gorgeous lobby filled with light that the online photos don’t do justice. Laid-back, attentive staff that make you really feel welcome to Jamaica and glad you came. I visited during their National Independence celebration, where they presented an amazing spread and fireworks. Buffet wasn’t large but food there & at each of the restaurants was delicious. Also, they had a Mike’s Coffee cafe, which was one of the most popular spots daily, and their ice cream & shakes were really premium (Ice cream/dairy/sugar can be either generic or using sugar substitutes at some Caribbean resorts). One of the best vacays, can’t wait to return.

Exceptional Service
Brison, Tianna, Mellesia, Craig and Jovan at Sakura were amazing and hospitable. I was very appreciative of Brison the F&B Concierge for her attentiveness and excellent knowledge of the menu.
