Great 2 weeks
We had 2 very relaxing weeks here in January. Room excellent - very clean, lovely stocked mini bar daily, great pool views and amazingly comfortable bed. Check in smooth and efficient - Kirsy very helpful and knowledgeable. Sun beds - plenty and nicely spread around 2 pools and beach. If wanted an umbrella need to be there by 9.30 latest but always beds. Pools - 2 - both excellent with lovely swim up bars in both. Entertainment - mixed bag and depends on personal taste but some very good singers, Dominican show great and always something on. Beach - lovely Food wise - Japanese restaurant very good service and quality. Buffet very good, plenty of choice, always live cooking stations and something for everyone. Had some great meals here and lovely service from an Argentina. Other Al a carte hit or miss and not as good as some other resorts. Mike’s coffee - excellent! Amazing cakes! Sports bar - great service and showing all sports. Hugo and Lienge both super helpful. Buggy’s to get round a great lazy option! Ten pin bowling and added bonus (especially when a little rain) Fabulous really for just relaxing.

Wedding
If you are considering this resort for your wedding, please read this carefully. I had my wedding at Ocean Blue & Sand Resort and I would not recommend this venue to anyone. I am beyond disappointed with how we were treated and with the complete lack of organization and professionalism throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, wedding planning was extremely difficult. Communication before arriving was chaotic — we were bounced between multiple wedding coordinators who gave contradictory information, were not communicating with each other, and often ignored or left questions unanswered. They were never able to provide photos or examples of what the ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception would actually look like. We selected a $5,000 wedding package, but after choosing it, we were constantly pressured to upgrade and pay more for things we had already declined. It felt like we were treated as dollar signs rather than valued guests. Even with months of planning, the wedding was not finalized before we arrived. I hoped things would improve once we were on site — unfortunately, they got worse. They continued trying to finalize details I had attempted to resolve months earlier and kept pushing additional upgrades. When my mother-in-law and I expressed how unhappy and stressed we were, the coordinators yelled at us, dismissed our concerns, and refused to allow us to speak with a manager. Several items included in our package were removed without explanation, and nothing was offered in return. We had to fight just to receive what we paid for — and even then, we still did not receive everything included in our package. Dinner reservations were a constant problem throughout our stay. We had multiple group reservations confirmed through the wedding coordinators, yet not a single dinner went smoothly. Restaurants either had no record of the reservation or the guest count was completely wrong. Instead of being helpful, hosts became angry with us and acted as if we were the problem. One of the worst examples of this happened at the Steak House restaurant after our rehearsal. We were specifically promised that everything would be ready and properly set up for our group. When we arrived, the restaurant staff had no idea we were coming. We waited over 30 minutes just to be seated, and when they finally seated us, they split our group across opposite sides of the restaurant, despite multiple empty tables available right next to each other. The host was visibly upset with us instead of trying to help resolve the situation. This same behavior occurred at other restaurants as well, including Sensai, where staff again acted irritated and unaccommodating. The wedding coordinators do not offer a rehearsal, so I planned one myself — thankfully, because otherwise the ceremony would have been a complete mess. Even after the rehearsal, issues continued. Our coordinator repeatedly demanded that we come to her office, taking hours of our vacation time, just to argue. She was unwilling to come speak with us directly. They also refused to show us the wedding location beforehand, telling us, “You’ll find it.” We were told we were the only wedding at the resort, which made the lack of care even more confusing and frustrating. Transportation on the wedding day was another major failure. Guests were told a trolley would pick them up 15 minutes before the ceremony — it never arrived, and guests had to run to make it on time. We were also told a trolley would transport my husband and me to our reception — that never came either. We had to flag down a random trolley while still in our wedding attire. During the ceremony, the wrong music was played as we walked out together. The coordinator appeared frantic and confused about the order of events, further proving how unprepared the staff was. At the reception dinner, two guests were never served, despite the headcount being known in advance. The coordinator did not check on guests and simply stood in the corner. Vegetarian guests were promised a proper meal but were served overcooked, mushy vegetables instead. Most concerning, I am deadly allergic to cherries, which was clearly communicated in advance, yet cherries were still placed in one of the wedding desserts. This was unacceptable and dangerous. Our package also included a romantic dinner the day after the wedding. We arrived and waited over 30 minutes without being served, and no one ever came to us. When they offered to reschedule, they again served us the wrong entrées, despite having us pre-select specific meals. Overall, this resort has a severe lack of communication, coordination, and accountability. Staff members constantly contradicted one another, and simple issues could have been avoided with basic internal communication. A destination wedding is supposed to be stress-free — instead, this resort caused unnecessary stress, frustration, and disappointment during what should have been the happiest time of our lives. I strongly urge future couples to consider other venues.

Amazing family vacation at a well run resort!!
Just returned from 5 nights at Ocean Blue and Sands with 2 kids age 14 and 18. We’ve been to many all inclusive resorts around the Caribbean and this one was definitely in the top 3. The entertainment staff are always working to make the days and evenings exciting. The grounds were spotless and rooms were cleaned and made up perfectly everyday! Beach and pools were perfect!
