The resort is gorgeous! Our concierge, Timothy Andos, was the absolute best! He was attentive, accommodating, and an all around gentleman. Jennifer and the entertainment team was so much fun! We danced, sang, played games and enjoyed the great D R hospitality. We will definitely come again!!!

Jun 09, 2025Overall A Great Experience and Good Value
My wife and I stayed 5 nights at this property from May 30 to June 4. The hotel is clean and most of the staff are very friendly. We did find some things that can be improved on but overall it was a great experience. The food was better than average but not outstanding. The drinks were decent and sometimes excellent depending on which bartender was working. In my opinion, the Privilege Rooms were worth the extra money. You have rooms closest to the beach, your own lounge, bar and restaurant by the beach. Not to mention reserved loungers by the pool and Bali Beds on a sandy hill overlooking the beach and a few steps away from the Tiki bar. The reserved Privilege seating areas also have service staff that take food and drink orders. Daniel, the server we had every day during our trip was excellent and very friendly. The big downside to the beach experience was all the seaweed in the water and on the shore where it washed up and accumulated. There is a beach comber than ran every day except Sunday but it could not get rid of all the seaweed. According to Daniel, this is seasonal so you might have better luck than we did. There are also vendors on the beach all day long trying to sell you merchandise, "adventure packages", and photo opportunities with Parrots and Iguanas. Our room was very clean but we noticed some small things that needed repair and updating. For example, the toilet paper holder was broken - no big deal but it just held the room back from being excellent. The shower stall is pretty small and the faucet fixture has some very sharp edges so watch out! There was no menu in the room for room service. The mini fridge was stocked with half the items that were supposed to be in them but this was no big deal since we were so close to the Privilege lounge. They provide a "welcome" bottle of wine for Privilege guests but do not provide a corkscrew to open it. Again, no big deal, but it just takes away from the experience. By the way, the room service is 24 hours but the menu is very limited. I'm talking burger and quesadilla and thats pretty much it. Also, no alcohol is served by room service so you're out of luck if you finished the 2 beers that they put in the mini fridge. There was supposed to be a "butler service" for Privilege guests but we did not see our butler once. He contacted us via WhatsApp and is pretty much there to answer questions. It's not an actual "butler service" in the way we thought it would be. Overall, it was a good experience. Not the best All Inclusive in the world but it definitely was good value for the price. My wife and I would go back.

Good food and clean Resort
We visited the Ocean Blue Sand Resort in DR and were very satisfied with our stay. The food was good, the entertainment was good and most of all, it was very clean. We had two of the best food assistants who worked in the main restaurant while we were there. Their names are José and Olga. Although, everyone appeared to be very friendly and helpful. We also dealt with a Nexus consultant who assisted us in arranging excursions. He went out of his way to ensure we got the most suitable package for our group...thank you Jendry. Also, a big shout out to the ladies who made sure that our room was kept immaculate just the way we like it...thanks Mercedes and Elizabeth.

Can’t wait to go back
This is my second time visiting this resort, however, it was 14 years ago for my first stay. I loved it as much this time as I did then! The layout of the resort is excellent, nothing is too far away, but it’s spacious. The lobby is beautiful with the best bar. SexyBlack48 is the best bartender! He’s kind, funny and works nonstop to make every drink order special. The server Marselis in the lobby is just as wonderful! We were in building 4. Perfect location, new updated clean modern room. The ac could have been stronger at times, however, we didn’t complain or mention it, so I can’t say if that’s something that could have been easily rectified. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms were made up and fridges stocked daily. The pools are great. One is slightly more quiet, but has a swim up bar and music. Still a good energy but the party pool is the next one down, where the entertainment stuff goes on all afternoon. There were times we felt that pool was way overcrowded. The first few days we were there, there was a HUGE group of kids on a grad trip. Very annoying in the pool just because it was so many all at once. However, even with that being said, it was still easy to always get a drink at the pool bar! The bartenders are amazing! The entertainment staff are THE BEST! These folks do not stop! Hot Coffee, Gasoline, Shaggy and Barbie make everyday nonstop fun. They’re full of energy and passion and talent! The food is excellent! The buffet was average like any buffet. We never had supper at the buffet, only breakfast. You do not have to reserve a la cartes except for steak and Japanese. The steak restaurant is phenomenal! Italian was delicious, and The diner and Mexican were so good with great options and excellent service. The beach buffet was the best for lunch! The beach is beautiful, white soft powdery sand. There was sargassum but they worked nonstop to clean it up. I highly recommend this resort and can’t wait to go back!

Experience at The Ocean blue and Sand
Beautiful property Very Nice Place , Great food , Nice location, friendly staff . I Wish i spent more time in the Resort four days aren’t enough to Enjoy and Discover all that they have to offer, Everything was Just Good no Complaints definitely Wish to go back
