    An absolutely wonderful experience in a rain forest jungle-like environment with great amenities and an amazing staff!

    We came back again to Occidental at Xcaret, and once again, our visit did not disappoint! We chose to stay at the Royal Level, and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, Aleshya & Iris at the Royal Reception Desk made sure everything we needed was taken care of, and they went above and beyond with their level of service. Our concierge David was incredibly attentive, and the bar and server staff at the Royal restaurant was absolutely perfect. The meals were really delicious, and although there were so many, the folks we know we must mention as extraordinary were Alberto, Maury, Samuel, Daniel, and Selena at bar staff. The pool was always spotless and not at all crowded, and the amazing rain forest jungle feel of the entire resort is a rare experience. There were several great pools including one with a swim up bar, and specialty restaurants that were excellent. The Steakhouse and Oriental restaurants really stood out. We truly do not have anything at all negative to say about our stay, and we're already booking a 10 day stay next year. Spend a little extra to stay at the Royal Level, I promise you won't regret it!

    Stay at xcaret occidental

    Resort was really good, loved all of the animals. Oriental and steak house we're really good, hacienda was a disappointment. Highlight was our concierge Andrea who made our stay extra special, she was phenomenal.

    Royal Club

    We are Vacation Club members, 9th time at this Resort, 7th time staying in the Royal Club. We are retired and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at the Royal Club. From the moment we arrived, Sandra and the girls in the RC office made us feel so welcome. The Restaurant within the RC is amazing. Thank you to Raquel, Alberto, Daniel, Samuel, David, Hugo, Cesar, Sarah for taking such good care of us. We love the Morning/Lunch crew. Pamela, Jesus, Jose, Ambrosio spoiled us for dinner! We miss everyone. The resort is beautiful. Set on a Rocky Shoreline with a man-made Lagoon surrounded by a sandy beach, plenty of chairs and Bali Beds. There is drink service at the Lagoon. The grounds are amazing with Deer, Monkeys, Agouti's, Coati's and Iguanas throughout the resort. There are so many walking paths but if you don't want to walk there are trams that can take you to the beach buffet or the main lobby. We stayed for 2 weeks and ate in the Italian, Seafood and Oriental Restaurants while there. The service and food were good - the Oriental being our favorite! With 2 entrances within the resort to Xcaret Park there is no need for transportation. It is very convenient (although it is a lot of walking) to come back to the resort for lunch. The Evening Spectacular Show is a must to see. We love this resort, we love the people and look forward to our next visit next year.

    Family Visit in November

    We agree with many of the reviews that the service from the concierge and reception was not great. We couldn't get into resort in our transfer as they didn't have details of our booking, it then took over an hour to check in, and an additional hour for them to bring a crib to the room, by this time it was past midnight and we had two small grumpy children. We also felt that everyone was trying to sell the 'club' and 'free breakfast' every-time you needed to ask for information and this was extremely frustrating. This being said, the facilities, resort and restaurants were fantastic and we would visit again. We really enjoyed the Oriental & Mediterranean and thought he Pizzeria and Paco's Taco's was a great option when we didn't have a restaurant booked. We wish to thank Emilia and Abimael in the snack bar who ensured my son could eat safely every lunchtime as he has allergies. The catered well for his allergies in the restaurants and allowed us to order him food 24 hours in advance in the buffet. If you are travelling with allergies, I recommend translating it into Spanish and then showing this to each of the managers where you are eating and they will then do there best to accommodate this. The entertainment team round the pool in the afternoons were also great too!
