Oct 24, 2025The resort was okay at best.
Very inconsistent experience throughout my time here. While they offered GF and vegetarian options, which i appreciated, the quality of food was not great. Also, there is limited beach service, which was disappointing. It's worth noting there is no hot tub in the family area - also huge disappointment! Also, the walk ways were not well designed, so get ready to walk ALOT!

In a nutshell, we had an absolutely fabulous week! All the reasons I booked the hotel did not disappoint - the food, the beach, the gym, the swim up room and the weather. The thing that makes the hotel what it is , is the staff. The whole place has a great vibe and that is down to the hard working staff who make it a great place to visit. I’d definitely go back. In particular, thank you to the entertainment team who made my day with the dance classes on the beach.

Dreams Onyx
We just returned home from an amazing trip with family and friends. We love this resort and the staff that have become family over the years. Our butler Elias went out of his way to make sure everything went great. Sterling in the preferred pool was always on it and a fabulous bartender. Juan in the buffet breakfast always greeted us with a smile and excellent service. Angel was always helpful getting our pool towels and helping us find space for our group. Franklin the manager for the blue water grill and breakfast buffet is one of the absolute best. This was our 5th trip there. We are always treated like family. The resort is super clean and the grounds are beautiful. We can’t wait to return.

British Couple on Honeymoon that got diverted to this resort last minute after a TUI Blunder, were meant to travel to Mexico but ended up here! Do not worry about the weather here, the forecasts are constantly wring, its beautiful, and even if you do get rain, it will only last an hour, and if your in the pool you are already wet! What a touch, this resort is so so good. Preferred club is an absolute must, the access it gives you to the better pool, air conned restaurant for breakfast and the butler service is miles above non-preferred club. Food is great, the variety is really wide spread, and the fact if your in preferred you can use all the food options at breathless next door (5 min buggy ride) means that on a 10 night stay we only ate at the same place twice (Italian and Mediterranean, but where outstanding!. Lasagne and chicken Shish!) The actual best bit though, the staff. The guys round the preferred Pool Bar, Sterling, Ismail, Jensi, Alejandro and Angel the Towel Guy. Henry, our Butler, and the entertainments team, guys like Honey. All these guys made sure we felt like royalty the whole time we were there, dashed around in the heat to make stuff happen for us and its so appreciated. Don't hesitate, book into this place, go preferred and lap it up. glorious.

Perfection!!
Dreams Onyx is our favorite resort. My wife and I have been to Secrets/Dreams 9 times and Onyx is the best! Zorillo, Nelly, Ishmael, Angel, Starling, and so many others make the experience unbelievable! Get the Preferred Club Pool Islands for at least one day! They are the best!
