Just got back from our 7 night stay at Dreams Onyx. Flight from uk was quick and seamless. Upon arriving at airport there will be lots (and I mean lots) of people trying to entice you to get a taxi to your hotel and can be abit overwhelming. We had pre booked a private transfer and once we found our guide it was a comfortable ride. It was around a 50 minute journey from the airport to Dreams Onyx. When we arrived we were greeted with welcome drinks whilst checking in which was quick and efficient. We where asked to sign and agreement to no smoking in the room or balcony (we are non smokers but think this is a great idea). Bell boys took us and our bags to our room and were friendly and knowledgeable about the resort. Our room was lovely, clean and fresh with a big balcony. We had emailed ahead sharing it was our honeymoon so upon arrival we had a banner on our door and champagne delivered to our room. Only suggestion would be to have sun loungers on second floor rooms too so you can sunbathe there and relax if wanted. Our room was cleaned x2 daily as well as mini fridge restocked. Room service was quick and we found positive. We spent most of our pool time at the sister hotel Breathless for an adults only vibe however did visit the staged pool to enjoy the slides and lazy river. ALL staff at both hotels were amazing from bellboys, restaurant staff, pool and bar staff, chefs, housekeeping, entertainment team as well as all shops, cafes, burger bar, coffee shop, ice cream parlour!!! Some we saw pulling extremely long shifts several days in a row but they always with a smile on their face and had positive attitudes being helpful and welcoming ensuring that a drink was never far from our hands and good vibes all day long. The buffet has something for everyone breakfast, lunch and dinner but we really enjoyed going to the restaurants in the evenings. The best being Spice and I can’t recommend the teppanyaki enough we had the best time thanks to our chef! Non stop laughs and delicious food. The entertainment was fun and something for everyone, we especially enjoyed the white party one the beach. We booked x2 excursions through the hotel and really enjoyed these but especially Bavaro adventure park where we did a full day of activities such as buggy riding, zip lining, horse back riding and the sacred river. (Bring waterproof shoes!!!) If you are early risers I could not recommend enough going down to the beach and watching the sunrise it was a highlight of the whole trip. Came for our honeymoon without the kids but would definitely come back for our family holiday too! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay

All staff was extremely helpful especially our Butler Albert. The grounds were well kept and restaurants were close to everything. Beach was ok. The food on the other hand was just so so. Drinks were plentiful but inconsistent in different places. I would suggest paying up for the preffered rooms. Also book with Amstar for your airport transfers.

Awesome trip
Had a blast here!!! The resort met every expectation and more. Our butler Josue was the best, he made sure we had a schedule of things to do every day and his advice was point on. The resort where do I start the lazy river was very relaxing and the water slides were exciting even for an old fart like me lol. The staff was great there an helpful

Great vacation
Wonderful trip! Resort was amazing, rooms were nice. Our butler was Josue M. and he was the best! Helped us the entire stay and ensured we had everything we needed! Would definitely return to this resort!

Impressed
This was my first visit to Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa, and it exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed by the staff. As members, we received upgrades and thoughtful gifts, which made our stay feel even more special. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and the service was consistently excellent throughout our visit. Our experience was relaxing and enjoyable from start to finish. This first stay definitely made a great impression, and I look forward to returning in the future.
