Jan 24, 2026A beautiful resort with something for everyone and guaranteed to provide a great experience.
Second visit to this resort. This resort is a 5 for its price point, and a great value for the service, amenities, food, beach, cleanliness, and overall experience. Our second time within 3 years, and stayed 10 nights both times, with kids and other family. Getting preferred is definitely recommended. The Butler service is outstanding, we had Aris and he was always available, assisted with all our dinner reservations for our group of 8. He is very friendly, professional and just provided a wonderful experience. It was a pleasure to get to know him. We loved seeing the same people working there, Nellie at the preferred pool, the servers at the preferred breakfast and lunch restaurant. They make you feel at home and so welcome. The food is delicious, some items are a hit and miss but there is something for everyone. Portion size can vary and sometimes too big, we wish we could pick a portion size so we weren't wasteful and then would not be too full to try a variety of items. The beach is great, sargassum was never an issue, they clean it up well. The waves make it fun, not too big, we were able to sit in floats in the ocean past the wave break. The sand is beautiful and the entire coastline of the beach is walkable. We took walks down the beach everyday. With the main pool, preferred pool, water park pool, and the beach you can have a different experience and vibe anytime you want. The rooms are big, we loved having a first floor room in building 7, was a great location to get to the main lobby, and to the beach and restaurants. So many more positives to list, but overall this resort is guaranteed to be a great vacation, and almost anyone would not be disappointed. We plan to return again, mainly because of the staff and service, they feel like family and will be a pleasure to see them again.

Amazing stay, highly recommend Dreams for all ages!
Amazing stay at Dreams Onyx Resort! The resort is beautiful and extremely well kept. Our room was always spotless when we returned. The staff were all kind and helpful, with a special shoutout to Anthony at the splash area who truly went above and beyond to make our experience fun and memorable. The food was delicious, especially Spice, which was a standout for us. We also loved that Dreams Onyx is a sister resort to Breathless, making it super easy to enjoy both resorts. Overall, we were so happy with our choice and would absolutely recommend this resort. Only small suggestion would be an easier way to identify guests over 18. Will definitely return!

A wonderful 2 weeks
We had an amazing 2 weeks here in November. On the advice of friends we upgraded to the Preferred club and we're glad we did. The top two perks in our opinion were a much quieter dining experience at breakfast and lunch (even though you're at the same buffet) and personal butler service. Our butler Francisco was the star of the show, going out of his way to ensure everything was perfect for our stay. We had a few issues with the room and he was so quick to resolve them and quickly sorted us out with a kettle so I could have tea in the room and not just coffee. A real gem. (I'm sure we'll be back and will ask for him again if possible) Only 'perk' that's wasn't that good was access to the Preferred lounge. It was always far too hot in there (no Aircon?) so we never stayed for long, even through the drinks were better. Food was good and having access to Breathless was a real benefit when you were staying for 2 weeks. We had chosen the private pool option, primarily for access to a reserved Bali bed and loved it. Bar staff round the pool were super friendly and attentive. I'm sure we'll be back.

Great Peeps...Great Resort
Great time! Of course the resort you stay at makes a difference, but what takes a vacation from a good time, to a memorable experience, are the people! No disappointment here, my man Hector hooked us up daily and was on top of things. Whether it was setting up dinner every night (for the 16 of us!) or scheduling an excursion, Hector took care of it. It just really let us relax and not worry about that. Appreciate it Hector! Not to leave out some other folks here, Dariel was amazing too, always making sure our rooms had what they needed and he was always good for a laugh. Castillo and Alejandro served up some great drinks and I can't remember here name (it started with Eli...) but she was in the preferred club in building 5...she was great, always friendly, smiling and happy to see us...and she makes perfect cocktails! Oh and the resort itself, gorgeous, plenty of space, lots of pools and lots of evening activities. Great vibe. Rooms were in the preferred building and I highly recommend. AC worked great and the rooms were clean. Highly recommend the Dreams Onyx resort.

So much fun!
Hector was amazing throughout our entire trip! Everything went so smoothly with his help. He gave great recommendations, and made sure to touch base with us every single day. The food and drinks were great. It was such a beautiful resort and the staff were very helpful and accommodating! Dariel was also amazing with his service, he checked in with our entire group every day, multiple times.
