Beautiful sprawling resort with excellent white sand beach.
This resort has a beautiful beach, there are more than enough beach lounges. Lots of shade under the trees on the beach. The yoga/stretching spot on the beach is beautiful. It is nestled in the middle of a circle of coconut trees, with plenty of shade, steps from the sea. There is a yoga/stretch class on the beach at 9:30 am. There is another yoga/stretch class at 10:30 am class is in the gazebo along the boardwalk to the Preferred Club area. The gazebo is surrounded by water (mangroves), teeming with wildlife - ducks, herons, huge orange iguanas, turtles. There is always a nice breeze blowing through the gazebo. The entertainment team will bring towels to the class at the gazebo. The entertainment team brings out the mats and towels to the beach. The resort is beautiful with the buffet restaurant and the Seafood Grill situated right on the beach. The Italian restaurant is on the Preferred Club side, right beside the pool. The outdoor seating is very pleasant. The rooms are huge and very upscale. The gym opens at 6 am. There is a lovely stretching area across from the weight room. The staff is very friendly, helpful and full of energy. The resort is only about a 25 minute drive from the PUJ airport. My favourite buffet items were sashimi, ceviche, avocado, passion fruit, pineapple and papaya. Special shout out to Brownie, Tarzan and Vladimir from the entertainment team, Rosmen the hostess at the World Cafe, Feleida from housekeeping and the Barrista from Coco Cafe (I didn't get her name - see photo).

Great all-inclusive for families, or couples who don't mind kids. The staff is fantastic here!
Great beach for kids. Soft sand, some sargassum, small waves. There were plenty of beach chairs available. The buffet is good, not super gourmet, and smaller than at Macao Beach but still good. Don't waste your time on the seaside grill, the food is not worth the wait there! The Hibachi restaurant was great. Try the fried ice cream! (Corn ice cream) My kids loved the coco Cafe and the ice cream parlor, and the ice cream at the beach bar. The waterslides were fun. My kids recomend going down seated so you don't feel every seam in the slide hit your back. They has so much fun on the slides that I was convinced to go down the slow-slide. It was fast enough for me! Lol There are non motorized water-sports. You can take a Hobicat for an hour a day. We had to go over to the hut at Secrets and use their boats because the sargassim barrier prevented using the boats directly at the resort. If you take them out, make sure you go before thw parasail boats start for the day. It becomes tricky to sail with them zipping back and forth. We loved that we had a room quiet enough to allow us to sleep at night! The beds were comfy but the pillows were like rocks. The staff here is the absolute best! They are so friendly! So helpful, and are what takes this resort from just okay to great. The teens club was a bit of a bust when we were there. There was no bar, snacks, often no attendant. Pretty disappointing really. All in all we enjoyed our stay here. We eould rwcomend this resort for families traveling with young children. The Explorers Club looked great. And the beach is one of the safest for kids that I have been to in the DR in terms of wave action, current, shallow entry and no chunks of coral, just soft sand. Some reviews say that the beach vendors hassel you. We found a simple "no gracias" and avoiding overtly looking at them kept them away. Mind you we avoid overt displays of wealth when traveling and did notice the sellers tend to pay attention to people who flaunt designer products and wear a lot of expensive jewelry. The pools were nice. There is a pool geared to everyone here. You just have to find it. For those who are curious, we were not preferred club, we had a look at the preferred pizza place and other perks and felt it was not worth it here the cost is ridiculous for what you get. But hey, if you have money to burn do what pleases you. We we we enjoyed pleasantly surprised that we were supplied with shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash as well as a minibar that was restocked daily. We asked for a rollaway bed when we got to our room and I kid you not, 3, yes 3 beds showed up within 5 minutes. We had a good chuckle about that. Surprisingly prompt service in this hotel!

Great Stay at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana
Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana - our first time here - will come again. Absolutely beautiful, loved that they had a variety of pools to go to. Beach games were fun, food was good, hospitality great. Best Concierge ever; Roberto, favorite server, Paola (she was so kind and sweet), Best Bartenders at Blue Dorado and Starlin. Kudos to everyone :-)
