Had a wonderful five night stay here. Staff and property were amazing. The food was decent. My concierge / butler Emmanuel was very attentive and responsive. Very happy with him. I would return and request him.

Nov 28, 2025Excelente family vacation!
The resort is all-in-all a wonderful spot for a family vacation! This resort is huge! The boardwalk connecting the two sections is very cool. It has everything to offer and is a great value. We stayed in a Preferred Swim-out room in the older section of the resort. The room was nice with only a few steps to the lazy river. The room was located in building 5, which is close to the main pool and beach. That was very convenient if you wanted to be close to most of the amenities. Upon arrival the room had a strange musty odor that quickly dissipated when we opened the slider. We didn’t spend much time in our rooms as there is so much to do at this resort. The only real complaints we had with the room was that there is no fan in the bathroom and the bathroom gets quite steamy and occasionally “stinky” with no way to move the air. They do provide an incense burner and matches which was novel. The rooms are older and there is some rotted trim around a couple doors. The slider is old and tired and cannot be opened from the outside. Room service arrived around 4:30 pm to clean one day which conflicted with our time to get ready for dinner. They also did not restock our drinking water or fridge everyday. The ceiling fan over the bed made noise and probably just needs to be replaced. All of these things were minor inconveniences and did not take away from our overall experience. The drinks at this resort were very good. The waitstaff and bartenders were great as well. Our group of 11 concluded that the food at this resort is good, not great. We had some very good meals mixed along with some equally poor meals. Our favorite restaurant was Portifino. The salad bar/buffet there is a fantastic dinner in itself. Our least favorite was Tres Colores as most of us did not have very good dinners there. The lunches and breakfasts at every restaurant seemed overall pretty good. One tip to know is that the chefs tend to overcook the steaks and they become very tough. Order your steaks rare in you like them done medium. The entertainment was great. What you would expect at a resort or cruise. Our concierge, Yaca, was top notch. She was incredibly helpful. She made all our dinner reservations and took care of every little issue that would pop up. Kudos to her! We used Amstar for our transfer and they were lousy. Their communication is terrible. Our group became split up upon arrival and they initially left the airport without us. Once at the resort, they con you into meeting with them to confirm your departure time which turns into an excursion sales pitch. Our rep didn’t even show up to our first meeting. We would not use that company again. The facility, grounds, staff, and amenities at this resort are great! With a bit of improvement to their dining experiences and some updating in the older Preferred Club rooms, this resort would be as they say…Excelente. We would recommend this resort to families and plan to be back in the future!

Fantastic family getaway
Absolutely loved the experience. The resort is beautiful and had amble spaces for us to explore. Maykar, our concierge was fantastic and the majority of staff we encountered were so friendly and personable! The drinks were amazing. Highly recommend Tres Colores - it was our favourite restaurant! The resort felt so spacious and not overcroweded at all. There was never a line for the water slides and there were plenty of space in the pools. The resort was clean. I would absolutely stay here again! We can't wait to return.

Fabulous holiday
We had a very pleasant holiday. We think it was the best yet. The journey was a bit long, but it was definitely worth it. We will spend 2 weeks there next time. The hotel was fine, the staff is nice and they look after your every wish. Now, if I had wanted to, I could have confidently made a list of errors, but that wasn't the goal. Maybe we were lucky, because we only heard the child screaming from the room next door 2 times, on different days, so I think the soundproofing between the rooms is quite poor. Therefore, next time we will choose the Adults Only version. I can't write anything else negative. It was a fabulous holiday.

The property is beautifully landscaped. The pool and the beaches were exceptionally wonderful. The down side are the un-friendly and non- helpful wait staff. They like to talk (loudly) amongst themselves while you sit and wait. Occasionally asking more than twice for refills. Once, my son got up and grabbed the coffee container to refill our coffee
- AdvisoryStudent Groups (Spring Breakers) are not permitted at Hotel. A student group consist of those that travel without parent supervision or a responsible adult in each room. This could refer to but not limited to high school students or college students booking multiple rooms. The hotel reserves the right to deny lodging to any reservations of this type.
