Great til the wedding showed up right outside my room with two young children
Was going great until we paid for an ocean view room which there are rooms with wide open views and we barely got a partial and of buildings and we were stuck the closest room possible to a very loud wedding and we registered we were coming with a one year old. Called the front desk twice and they basically said nothing we can do doesn’t end til 10 and our room sounds like the inside of a club

Nothing dreamy about the resort
This was our 3rd stay in Mexico but first time in Dreams Sapphire. It was on the pricer side of our budget. We paid $4800 for a room on the "tropical" side of the hotel. We had to pay an extra $600 at the hotel because my daughter is an "adult" at 14. I anticipated the extra charge because they wanted to charge for 2 rooms if I booked online because they don't allow 4 adults in 1 room. The moment I walked into our room I thought it wasn't going to be good. There was a musty wet smell and the chairs and couch were soaking wet. Our whole stay you either had to have the room an ice box and have dry sheets and clothes or turn the AC down a little so you could feel your fingers and then everything in the room was damp. We are now dealing with a cold or some other virus and I imagine its from the damp musty room all week. They really should install dehumidifiers in the rooms so you don't have to constantly run ac and make the room as cold as the produce section in Costco(coldest place on earth..lol). We finally had enough and complained and got a 2 day pass to the indigo section(roof top bar, infinity pool and an additional restaurant) which made it a little nicer. Of course since my daughter wasn't 16 she couldn't go up. I didn't understand why we had to pay extra for her as an "adult" but they wouldn't let her up to Indigo because she is a child? As far as the beach, the ocean was not clean. We were hoping for the blue water of Cancun but unfortunately this beach has no clean water at all. They do clean the beach from the seaweed but there was also a lot of plastic debris in the water. The pool area was nice but the water was freezing. Glad we got access to the Indigo level because that water was perfect. The staff at the restaurants were nice but there were several times where they seemed to have an attitude. Not used to that in Mexico. We actually like that you didn't need to scramble and make reservations the day before like at some other resorts. We checked in and got our buzzer and if it was an hour wait it was fine. The lobby was nice and the live entertainment was plentiful and pretty good. Other than being sick now the resort was just ok. Nothing dreamy about resort...

Great Service and Beautiful Grounds
We (2 adults, 0 kids) stayed at Dreams Sapphire Resort for seven nights in November as part of the Preferred Club. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, with beautifully maintained grounds, warm and attentive staff, and a good blend of relaxing and upbeat activities. Location The resort is about a 20–25 minute drive south of the Cancun airport, making it extremely easy to reach. There is a taxi stand located just outside the front gate, and the hotel can call a cab for you at a moment’s notice. Rooms We stayed in a garden-view Preferred Club room, which offered plenty of space for the two of us. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the housekeeping staff did a great job tidying up each day, with turn-down services at night. Each building is three stories high and does not have an elevator. This was no issue for us, but travelers with mobility concerns should request a ground-floor room. Because the buildings are concrete (very common in Mexico), sound carries easily. A few times, loud children in the hallways echoed up to our floor and could be heard from inside the room. It wasn’t a major issue for us and thankfully never happened in the early mornings, but if noise sensitivity is a concern, upgrading to the adults-only Indigo Club may be worth considering. That said, overall the room was comfortable and quiet at night. Grounds The resort grounds are gorgeous with lush landscaping, clean pathways, and plenty of shaded spots to relax. Staff maintain the property exceptionally well. One charming surprise was the presence of multiple troops of white-nosed coatis. They roam the grounds peacefully and were never aggressive. We actually loved the little wildlife aspect of the resort. Dining The resort offers a variety of dining options. We tried everything except the sushi bar, which is exclusive to Indigo Preferred guests or available for an additional $60 per day. Bordeaux (French Restaurant): By far the standout. We ate here three times and loved everything we tried, especially the French Onion Soup, which was easily the best item. Asian Restaurant: Our second favorite. Good selection of approachable Asian dishes, and the hibachi show was especially enjoyable. Preferred Club À La Carte Breakfast: A major perk. Delicious breakfast options paired with beautiful views. Unfortunately, the remaining dining options were underwhelming. While we understand the challenge of serving large volumes of guests, many dishes lacked excitement and were moderate in quality at best. This was the biggest disappointment of our stay, as we're big foodies, although the variety of restaurants allowed us to return to the ones we enjoyed most. Service The service was one of the resort’s greatest strengths. Every staff member we met was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. Service consistently exceeded expectations. Spa We visited the spa for both the hydrotherapy circuit and a massage, and both experiences were excellent. If you’re a Preferred Club guest, you receive one complimentary hydrotherapy session during your stay, and hydrotherapy is also included when you book any additional spa service. Note that hydrotherapy reservations must be booked through the spa (you can’t just walk in). Preferred guests also receive 25% off spa services. Without the discount, the prices are quite high, even by US standards, but with the discount, they align with typical US pricing. The facilities and service were wonderful and worth trying. Upselling Our only real complaint was the amount of upselling throughout the property, which felt unnecessary. The staff were always polite, and it’s very clear this pressure comes from Hyatt corporate, not the employees themselves. I do not blame the employees at all, but would encourage Hyatt to review how much upselling they really need to push at their all-inclusive properties. For example: -The concierge repeatedly tried to sign us up for a vacation club presentation, five attempts in total, despite our polite refusals. -During my massage, I was offered a $25 upgrade for scented oil instead of the standard oil. The woman was very polite and moved on when I said no, but really why is upselling to scented oil for $25 necessary on a $200+ treatment? -At the adults-only pool, several prime cabanas were reserved for paid rental ($60 per day). We never saw a single one rented all week, and they ended up feeling like wasted space. None of this ruined our stay, but it did detract from the overall experience and felt out of place at an otherwise high-quality resort. Again, I do not blame the employees one-bit, it all was clearly coming from Hyatt corporate. Dreams Sapphire is a beautiful, welcoming, and well-kept all-inclusive. The excellent service, pristine grounds, and multiple dining options made our trip enjoyable from start to finish. While the upselling and some of the dining experiences left room for improvement, we still had a fantastic week.
