Nobu Los Cabos is a must! Don’t miss out!
My second time back at Nobu Los Cabos and it only keeps getting better. From the luxurious amenities to the amazing food to the white glove service that I received throughout the entirety of my stay, there’s a reason why I keep coming back to this resort. Samantha was my butler or local ambassador assigned to me and she took care of my every need. She was so kind, warm, and spot on with every local recommendation for me. Samantha truly made my trip to Cabo more memorable than I could have asked for or planned myself. Special shoutout to Jesus who was my server by the main pool. He made me feel so comfortable without being too invasive. Jesus made me feel very taken care. I received the same caliber of service from everyone on the resort. I just left Nobu, but I’m counting down the days when I return again. I know that there are countless resorts that I can stay at in Cabo, but I choose to stay at Nobu for the people, the food, Japanese minimalism, the well thought out design, the views, and all around five star white glove service.

Our stay at Nobu was excellent and beautiful. We had an amazing time and our friend Napoleon Ramirez who was assigned to help us during our stay made it even better and much more smooth by helping us with reservations, bookings, etc. He was very responsive and always looking to help.

The Nobu Los Cabos
The Nobu Los Cabos is a beautiful resort with great food and lovely folks. We especially loved our interactions with Napoleon, who felt like a personal concierge. He is fabulous at his job. Kind and efficient, he made sure we felt like family (and like queens). Thank you to Napoleon and everyone at The Nobu Los Cabos. We can’t wait to return.

Great get-away vacation!!
This was our fourth or fifth visit to Cabo—it’s become our default getaway whenever we’re unsure where to travel next. This time, we chose Nobu because we were intrigued by the promise of Japanese design elements in a luxury setting. Arrival & Location The hotel is quite secluded. After landing at the airport, it’s a significant drive, and even once you reach the Diamante entrance, it’s another 10 minutes of slow driving with plenty of speed bumps before you finally arrive. That said, the hotel entrance itself is impressive and immediately sets a tone of understated luxury. Design & Atmosphere Nobu does a fantastic job blending Japanese minimalism with modern luxury. However, if you’re expecting a deeply authentic Japanese experience, you may find it a bit surface-level. Some of the Japanese references—like “Tokyo Ramen” and “Yokohama Sushi”—felt more like branding than substance. The overall vibe is more California luxury home with Japanese accents than a true Japanese retreat. I was half-expecting a Washitsu (traditional Japanese room), but that’s not what you get here. Still, this didn’t detract from our stay. In fact, I’d rate Nobu among the top hotels I’ve experienced. Room Experience We stayed in a swim-up room, which was a highlight. The kids loved being able to step right into the pool from our patio, and the pool’s canal-like design gave us a sense of privacy—it almost felt like our own private waterway. Pools & Ambience The main pool is beautiful, though curiously underused. Despite seeing a handful of guests around, we were often the only ones actually swimming. It seems most people come here to sunbathe and enjoy the glamorous surroundings rather than take a dip. It gave the place a slightly surreal, exclusive feel. Dining Food prices are steep—even by Bay Area standards. I’m used to paying over $20 for a simple lunch at home, but here, prices were 1.5 to 2 times higher. Nachos were $30, and our daily food bill ranged from $300 to $500. The upside is that a 15% service charge is included, so tipping isn’t an extra concern. Still, the prices took some getting used to. On the bright side, it’s inspired me to try some Michelin-starred restaurants back home! Interior Details The Japanese touches—like the vertical wood slat designs, wooden bathtubs, and beautiful teapots—are lovely, but the overall style leans more Western. I especially loved the wooden bathtub and am considering one for our own home. However, the coffee maker in our room was problematic (cold or overflowing coffee), and while the Japanese teapot was a nice touch, there were no Asian teas provided. The soundproofing of the doors was poor—I was woken up more than once by people (possibly staff) talking outside late at night. The shower setup was also a bit awkward, with water splashing out due to a small divider and no good place to put clothes. The faucet looked nice but had a noticeable mold smell, and its design makes it hard to clean. Surprisingly, there was no Toto washlet, which I’d expected from a Nobu property. Despite these quirks, the overall room quality is very high. Grounds & Landscaping A special mention to the landscape design: instead of leaving unused spaces as plain sand, they’ve created beautiful areas that feel like backyard gazebos by the beach. It’s thoughtfully done and adds a lot to the atmosphere. Residence Presentation We attended a presentation about their residence program, and I recommend you guys should attend too if you are willing to spend 3 hours there. What didn't work out for us might work for you. Final Thoughts Personally, I still prefer my previous stay at the JW Marriott in San Jose Cabos for its consistent tone and brutalist architecture, which brought back memories of my college days. Nobu excels in service—the staff-to-guest ratio is high and the service is impeccable. The Japanese theme, while not deeply authentic, is tastefully done. The food prices, though, are hard to justify for a longer stay. In summary: Nobu Los Cabos offers a unique blend of Japanese-inspired design and modern luxury in a stunning, secluded location. The service is outstanding, and the swim-up rooms are a real treat for families. Just be prepared for high food prices and a few quirks in room design. If you’re looking for a relaxing, upscale escape with a touch of Japanese flair, it’s definitely worth a try. Love.
