Nice Vacation, Good Food, Good Service,Everything Included
Luxury hotel, very good service, excellent housekeeping, no complaints about the food or service. Drinks were included and all tasted very good. I traveled with two other relatives and we got a room with 3 beds which faced into the courtyard which was fine for us. We ate in the buffet every day/night so we could try all of the food rather than going to the specialty restaurants with limited choices. Most of the restaurants' decor looked just like the buffet decor so I don't think we missed much. We all could always find a number of things we loved to eat - just like a cruise ship. We did the stretch class in Riu Fit and Jeri (?sp) the instructor was great and we did the water aeobics with her also. Shows were fun at night which are in the main stage area in the atrium. They had the "Riu Party" for three of our afternoons/nights at the Santa Fe sister property next door which you can go to (short walk).... but if you are over the age of 35, I don't think you'll like it. Lots of crazy loud music and a pool that is so crowded with tons of drunk people I was afraid someone would get hurt or drown in there (spoken like a true older person, so young folks probably would like it). If you want to get into the ocean, you have to walk down the beach where they fly a yellow flag (maybe 1/8 to 1/4 mile) as the undertow is too strong outside the hotel. We also were allowed to go to the pools in the two sister properties next door. We went on the slides at the water park (next door) which is all included. Everything was fun and would have been more fun if I could shed 20-30 years!

Worth the price, I would definitely return
This resort was amazing, I have been to many Mexican resorts but never with such attention to detail. The layout is great, lo by, main stage, pools and restaurants all so easy to access even if you need to use elevators and ramps. The staff are so attentive, always asking if we need anything at all. Special kudos to Geovanny of the Mexican restaurant, Rocia at the coffee bar, and my housekeeper Vanessa. The food was great we were able to try a different one each time with no reservations I loved that. The food was great at every one of them and the buffet too. The buffet had some pretty upscale choices.

Honest review
Nice resort. Food and service were fantastic. Beach was quite course and not super walkable like other beaches we have visited. Not the resorts fault at all. It was quite noisy and a party atmosphere. Sitting on our balcony before dinner was difficult as you had music blaring from 3 different areas. A quick 5-10 minute ride to downtown or a 30 minute walk on the beach made things quite convenient to do some shopping. Overall it was a nice visit but sure I would return again as we prefer something a little more quiet.

Great staff, great views, average restaurants
The entire staff was fantastic--welcoming and made us feel valued. The grounds are well maintained and everything quite clean. The tub in the middle of the room is just odd--maybe the Owner's wife had a crazy idea? We went Elite and were pleased. Our only real disappointment was with the restaurants. They have very limited menu options and are not really out of the ordinary at all. The Elite restaurant starts off with nacho chips and salsa which is out of place to the Elite aspect as well as to the balance of the menu. The young lady who handles emcee duties needs to be trained on how to handle a microphone--yelling and overmodulating. Maybe someone told her she needed to have energy? The buffet is broad and well maintained. The pools and views of the Ocean are beautiful.

Swimmers beware
The resort is big with lots to do. Food was good. The beach was beautiful but beware of swimming. I would not recommend going in the water or too close to the shore line to snap a picture. Big waves can come fast and I watched a girl loose her phone to one trying to get the selfie. There are strong undertows that have claimed lives. This resort gives you access to the other 2 and it’s fairly easy to get around. Disco needs better ventilation.
