  Perfect Resort for Couples!

  I had a great experience at TRS Coral with my partner. The hotel room was lovely and spacious - the balcony was bigger than we thought. Service was wonderful too. It is a perfect resort for couples who want to relax, not so much party. Just enough people were at the resort to make the atmosphere lively, but not noisy at all. Cleanliness is a huge thing for me and I never had an issue here. Food also exceeded our expectations. We had low expectations at first because food can be iffy, but overall we enjoyed almost every meal. In terms of location, it was only a 30 min drive from the airport, so it wasn't too bad. Overall, we are very satisfied with our trip and would come back one day.

  Fall break trip TRS side

  Overall we found this hotel to be pretty nice. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful and always greeting us. We opted to take advantage of a room upgrade the hotel offered and we were so glad we did. Karla the butler that was helping with the upgrade in advance was super attentive and even came out to the pool area to meet us. We got a loft room and loved having the extra space. The pros of the hotel is that it is pretty walkable but they also offer a boat shuttle as well as golf carts which is nice if you don't want to walk a lot in the heat or rain. The loft room was huge with a tub outside and a nice sized patio, tons of storage space and a bathroom on the main level and then a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The rooms were cleaned and stocked well each day but a couple areas do look a bit worn down. We enjoyed the TRS pool area and took advantage of the Bali bed with our upgrade. The service at the swim up bar with Dio was excellent (he would even remember our name and greet us each day). We also received excellent service from Uyysses at the pool area. Highly recommend the pizza at the pool at lunch always a win being hot and fresh. We also enjoyed making use of the lobby bar to play cards and have drinks at night and received excellent service from Raul. The cons of the hotel is that this by far was our worst food we have had in Mexico. We loved the food at the TRS past playa so we were disappointed that almost every meal except at the pool didn't hold up to the quality. We even mentioned it to the chef the second night because it was the second time the food was cold. The apps and desserts seemed to be okay but the entrees just were blah. The hotel lobby also has a very strong scent so if you are sensitive to smells that is a bit of a turnoff. The ocean unfortunately wasn't swimmable when we were there do to the seaweed. They do try to rake it each morning but within minutes it was piled back up so we didn't get to enjoy the beach as much as we normally would have. Overall we had a fabulous time and again the staff made it even better with their good energy and customer service!

  Exceptional service but lacking on upgraded benefits

  We have been to many resorts in Cancun and this was one of the best! The service was outstanding. Most of the restaurants had good food. The room service food was lacking. The one major downside was not being able to get the premium liquor we paid extra for. Sometimes the bars had it but then it was unavailable after you got one drink. Most of the time they just kept saying they don't have any right now. We also had no hot water or decent water pressure most of our 9 day stay. They were prompt in sending someone to fix it but it never lasted. As few people that were staying there, they could have and should have moved us to a different room. Our friends on the other side of the hall had hot water and great pressure the entire time. The pools are great and clean. There are plenty of bars and overall the resort is beautiful with lots to do and see. It felt like a classier clientele.

  Overall a pleasant time but the resort is in transition. They are cutting expenses but also cutting value to their customers

  Really a good hotel, there is so much options you can try. The Butler service (Roberto) and the waiter service ( Ulises) at the TCP are impeccable and they make sure you have everything you need . I really recommande this place. Big shot out to Ulises the best waiter we had in many trips we made. Beautiful place, beautiful and careful people! The food is really good, restaurant are awesome and the service is gorceous!
