    Loved Dreams Playa Mujeres!!

This was a wonderful resort with lots to do and in a spectacular setting. The service, food and hotel esthetics were incredible! We travelled with children aged 5-15 and everyone had a great time. The beach was spectacular as well and we would definitely go back!!

Dreams Playa Mujeres: Great Stay with a Few Bumps

We recently returned from a wonderful stay at Dreams Playa Mujeres and overall had a great experience, especially thanks to the benefits of being Preferred Club members. Our Preferred room was beautiful, comfortable, and conveniently located. We really enjoyed the added perks that came with Preferred status, including access to the Preferred Lounge and a few extra amenities that made a big difference. However, a few things did detract from the experience. Dinner reservations were very hard to get. It required a lot of advance planning, and even then, it was not always possible to secure the times or restaurants we wanted. Another small frustration was the pool situation. If you wanted a good spot by the pool, you basically had to get up at 5 or 6 in the morning to reserve chairs, which is not ideal when you are trying to relax on vacation. Unfortunately, during our stay, someone at the pool stole my shirt. I am still working with the Preferred Club Concierge to locate it through lost and found. Karla from the Preferred Club has been extremely helpful and supportive throughout this process, and I really appreciate her attentiveness. That said, the service at the pool more than made up for many of the inconveniences. Jabbar was absolutely outstanding. He always greeted us with a huge smile and made sure our drinks were never empty (even our 3 year old). His positive attitude and energy made every pool day even better. Herberth also stood out with his excellent service and friendliness. In addition, the staff in the Preferred Lounge were consistently welcoming and attentive, helping us feel special throughout our stay. In short, despite a few challenges with reservations, pool seating, and the unfortunate incident with my shirt, we had a fantastic time. The beautiful property, the perks of the Preferred Club, and the incredible staff all helped make our vacation memorable. We would definitely consider returning.

Best all inclusive resort in Mexico!

Best all inclusive resort in Mexico! Look no further! If you read a “bad” complaint review, those people will complain just to complain. We upgraded to preferred status, loved it! Preferred gets you into Maris restaurant for Breakfast, great view of the water, quieter than the other breakfast restaurant, the menu is delicious & can be catered to your & your kids liking. Preferred gets you access to Bali Beds, lazy river, and the Preferred Club Bar which is ground level right next to the big pool / party pool. The preferred club bar serves light snacks & light breakfast option, & has a huge bar with indoor and outdoor seating, plus a nice little concierge service. Preferred status was a great move, it was much more relaxing! As a family of 4, we never had an issue reserving chairs between 7:30-8:30 at the party / activity pool, which is closest to the water (Carlos and Brian in the entertainment staff were awesome!!!). People reviewed they couldn’t get a chair by 6am (the same week I was there!), that was laughable. The grounds are expansive & the resort itself is set way back from the main road, so many cameras all over the place, with wonderful staff everywhere. Because of that, we felt so safe & let our girls (11 & 7) have some freedom. With that, they hit up the water park, & Dolce at least 5 times daily! I have no idea how much tip money they went through at Dolce & that’s ok by me, the staff deserve it! The noise level at night due to the weddings was just fine. Our kids slept fine, we slept fine, & yes we could hear the music in our room. For those who left review complaints, didn’t you read the hundreds upon hundreds of reviews stating this is a wedding resort & be prepared to see maybe 2 weddings per day? Don’t worry, the music will end at 10 or 11. As a precaution I did bring disposable ear plugs, which we never used. Plus, It was fun to see all the brides, and everyone is always so happy at a wedding! The grounds of the resort were spotless & gorgeous! Our room was clean upon arrival and was turned down daily. Sometimes it took a while for it to happen, but that wasn’t a big deal! For the people who complained about having to wait oh so long for turn down service… relax, you’re on vacation! We never had to wait to be seated at any of the restaurants, but we are also a party of 4 & eat at 8ish. For the people complaining about having to wait for a table, maybe do what we did… feed the kids a “first dinner”via room service or from Tides and then go out to eat later. If you still have to wait, go to a bar, sip on a delicious beverage, & take in the gorgeous view. Doesn’t that sound nice? Also… relax, you’re on vacation! Food: fantastic! This was the best I have had at an all inclusive (the kids food was on point as well). Maris: Lunch -the Fish Tacos, sea scallops, coconut shrimp, & chicken parm are a must! Dinner: risotto! Gaucho: salad bar was fantastic and the meats were amazing! I love medium rare, & that’s what they cut for me. L’Etoile: adults only, food, presentation, wine, everything was a step up. Fusion: not a sushi fan, but I still found a non sushi roll to eat & it was great! Deep fried chicken roll over an avocado spread. If there is a restaurant closed for the night, it’s because they do a massive deep clean, that’s what I saw happening with my own eyes. So don’t complain, & enjoy one of the other dining options! Relax, you’re on vacation! Do yourself a favor, come to this resort, you won’t regret it!

    Resort Review

This is a pretty mixed review. It has the bones to be really good, but failed in numerous areas. They did a good job overall with customer service (minus the last person I spoke to), food and drinks were good overall, room was good, and the spa was awesome. However, where they did good at, also had a lack of consistency. Pool bars closed very early (around 5:00pm). Restaurant’s were closed all over the resort, on numerous days, and Secrets was under renovation so all of their restaurants were closed. For being an “all-inclusive” resort, things should be open at the very least on the resort you book. Desserts lacked in my opinion, there were a few that were good, but for the majority they were not impressive. Room service did great, when they were there. One day my wife and I were out from 9am-2pm and nobody came and did our room, even when there was a request to clean it up. It eventually got done when we went to Dinner that night. The hibachi restaurant was incredibly hard to get into. When you do get in, you get backed up. We had a reservation for 7:00pm, did not start until 7:20pm due to them not being prepared and getting backed up. For the price you pay for this resort, there are numerous other resorts I’d rather go to or recommend. When I brought up my concerns to the front desk the day of our check out, I got told, “you can file your complaints within the survey we send you”.

    Great Security Staff

I only have good things to say about this hotel. Thirty minutes after arriving, I went to the pool, which was partially empty, and left my sandals nearby. At that time, there were only a few foreign teenagers around. When I came back for my sandals, they were gone. Since it was late, I thought maybe a hotel staff member had picked them up, but that wasn’t the case. I reported the incident and honestly didn’t expect to see them again. However, the security team checked the cameras, identified who had taken them, and went to their room. The individuals pretended they had planned to return them, but thanks to the staff, my sandals were recovered. I’m truly impressed and grateful for the hotel staff’s attention and efficiency. I do wish the thieves had faced some kind of consequence or at least a scare to keep them from doing it again, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
