  Just what I needed…

  I decided to book a last minute vacation and had never been to an all inclusive. After some research, I landed on this resort and it did not disappoint. It met all the conditions I had established, such as proximity to the airport and adult only amongst many others. When I arrived at the front desk, I was explained the many advantages of being upgraded to the Level status so I agreed to it and that was a great decision. The exclusif restaurant, lounge and rooftop bar from the Level were well worth it. They introduced me to Jenfry De Jesus and right from the start I knew I was in good hands. His service was very personalized and I would receive every morning the list of activities throughout the day and the shows in the evening, even though he was not on site yet. My restaurant reservations were taking care of and I only needed to show up. This was a very nice experience and I highly recommend this resort. Will definitely be going back and asking for Jenfry again.

  Wonderful vacation!

  Just got back from a vacation with a friend at the Melia Punta Cana, Level. The service from our butler Jenfry was exemplary! He was quick to respond to our inquiries and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable! A special thanks to Ubaldo and Roberto both supervisors at the bars, who are kind and welcoming. Going back for sure!

  Loved this resort!

  Meliá adult only is a great resort and we enjoyed our time. Very clean! Very peaceful and quiet. It was truly paradise! The workers I especially loved were the lobby ladies (in the Level lobby). Such sweet girls. And Jeff who drove the shuttle golf cart. There were two male restaurants servers who were excellent and I wish I remembered their names. They gave great recommendations. (When they give recommendations, take them!) The food and drinks were great. I had the best pina colada ever at the rooftop bar in the level building. I participated in morning meditation and yoga while here. 10/10!! The instructor was God sent. I work out often and worked out while here on vacation. The gym did not disappoint! They had workers who regularly wiped down equipment(although I always wipe down my own equipment after I use it). Aqua Gym was also very fun I enjoyed the session and the instructor was GREAT. Overall a great experience at Meliá Punta Cana. I’d recommend this resort. We paid very little extra to get on Level tier and the room was beautiful and clean.

  Excellent personal Concierge

  We enjoyed our lovely stay at Melia Punta Cana adults only a The LEVEL nd the reason was our personal concierge Jefryn De Jesus. He took special care of us and we felt like VIP. You made our honeymoon extra special. I would definitely give you 5 star and you deserve recognition for such hardwork. Melia Punta Cana The level adults only is great resort. Food isdelicious and Staff are friendly and very helpful. Will definitely visit again and will love to be taken care by Jefryn. We loved you and your expertise customer service.

  Absolutely four stars, but needs some work to be a five-star experience

  Overall, my partner and I loved our trip to Melia Punta Cana Beach and Wellness. We booked our trip through Apple Vacations and had an overall seamless and wonderful experience. Of note, we did upgrade to the Level and would highly recommend this - it truly enhanced our experience. As a part of our Level upgrade, we had two concierges: Juan and Eddie. Both were wonderful and extremely helpful - they made all of our reservations and were available for any questions or requests we had. The Level also had exclusive privileges which we took advantage of. The Quimera, the Level-exclusive restaurant, was an excellent spot for a la carte lunch and breakfast. My partner has a gluten sensitivity, and the Quimera had a good range of options for her and was extremely accommodating to her requests. The Level also had a special seating area around the pool and on the beach. We never had problems finding pool chairs underneath umbrellas, and we often didn't get out to the pool until 9-10am. The Level also had exclusive activities throughout the week which we took advantage of. They had hat painting, a coconut water experience, and a rum tasting among others. Our room was clean and well-maintained daily. The food was also very good overall. Most of the a la carte restaurants had a good selection of foods to fit dietary restrictions and the buffet was good. We were impressed with the food. Now for the reason this wasn't a five-star review. From the moment we arrived at Melia Puna Cana Beach and Wellness, it felt like someone was always trying to sell us something. The vendors at the beach were relentless. My partner and I would sit several rows back from the beach and towards the middle of the chairs, and vendors would constantly walk up to us attempting to sell their various wares or picture opportunities. Most accepted a "no gracias" and walked away, but some required to be told no multiple times. By the pool, the spa representative would approach us and ask us to book spa services. We often circumvented by saying we already had a service booked, but he would often attempt us to book additional services. The same can be said with the excursions company the hotel is in partnership with. My partner and I were not interested in booking any excursions, and made that clear, but still had to sit through the whole presentation multiple times throughout the week. One of the nights, there was a sponsored Dominican Republic evening with consisted of themed foods at the buffet and dance lessons. They also had vendors selling their wares. For a hotel sponsored event, the vendors were EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE and would often grab me by the sleeve to prevent me from leaving after I declined an offer. We ended up leaving that night with multiple pieces of jewelry and two paintings we didn't really want. We are both still young individuals, and although had experience saying no to vendors, were surprised by the aggressive nature of these vendors. Unfortunately, this was likely our fault but still felt it important to note in this review. Finally, my partner and I were less than impressed by our massage at the spa. Never of us have much experience receiving massages and this is absolutely our personal opinion. Although we both took Spanish in school, neither of us are fluent and it showed on this occasion. The man who took us the locker rooms in the spa spoke little to no English and gave very few instructions to us. The massage itself was also unimpressive in our opinion.
