Only day 2 and so far I’m having a wonderful vacation. The people are so friendly here. But one waitress stands out the most. She friendly, funny and determined to make everyone’s stay fantastic. And I can say she doesn’t meet a beat doing that. Her name is Monique or as we know her LiL Mo. having a great time thank you LiL Mo
Best waitress ever
We have been to a lot of all inclusive resorts. This was okay of course we usually book 4.5 or 5 stars so not too bad for the price, I do think it would a little classier with an upgrade in toilets. The room we had looked like an airplane toilet. The service was good all around . But honestly what really made my stay a wonder experience was the waitress on the beach. Her name is Monique or as we know her”Lil Mo” she has a beautiful soul, funny, beautiful, on top of service like you would not believe. I didn’t have to look for anyone for a drink on the beach because she was there before I needed one making sure me and my husband were taken care of. I will return and mainly to see her as she knows how to make your stay a terrific one. Please let her know what a pleasure she is.
I had an excellent time! Lil Mo made every day so much fun. She is a breathe of fresh air and is excellent at her job. I am definitely ready to come back and see her again! The beach is beautiful. The pools are perfect temperature. The fiod atvthe Tapas bar was really good. Aqua Italian was good, also. Buffet was decent, the soups were never hot, which is my only complaint.
We went during NYE and had a great time! Each night the hotel offered karaoke, shows, and a fun Great Gasby theme party to celebrate the New Year! Their where several restaurants on the property, just make all your reservations before or when you arrive. The food was average. Our top picks Where the Mexican, Japanese and tapas. The buffet had a huge assortment to satisfy. The hotel itself (rooms, halls) definitely needed some upgrading but the entrance area was recently done over. I cannot say enough how welcoming the staff was especially one attentive waitress named Lil Mo (monique) She was so pleasant and made us feel like home. Each day she made it a point to ask us if there was anything we would like or needed. Lil was the waitress on the beach and also the Tapas at night! So much fun and energetic and hard worker she made our trip memorable. I recommended her to several friends that are going this year. We Are looking forward to coming back and seeing Lil Mo again.
Wouldn’t go back!!
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Melia on March 10 to the 17th. Upon arrival we were directed to our room which is down a long long Hhallway far away from anything. The room before us looked as if it had overflowed with water as the hallway was soaked, it stayed that was for the 4 days we were there. As we enter the room it is absolutely freezing and continued to be freezing even with the air conditioning shut off for the next four days. And when I say four days that’s because we ended up booking a flight home early because of the coronavirus but also because we were so uncomfortable at this hotel. The food was terrible on the last day we found a buffet down by the pool, which you had to fight about 500 spring breakers to get to food and drinks. Our room was an absolute icebox I wish that I would’ve brought a sweater, socks and pants. There was construction outside our room starting at 7 AM every morning. They also have a one drink limit per person at a time which is very inconvenient when you have to go back up to the bar to get a drink every single time. We ended up leaving on March 14th instead of the 17th as we were originally supposed to do mainly because my boyfriend and I were so uncomfortable at this resort. We travel often and will definitely return to the Bahamas but not to this resort.
