What We Love
- Snorkeling is amazing - the coral reef here is world-renowned & more than epic.
- A world-class golf course is just across the street, but there's mini golf if you wanna take it down a notch.
- A great family vacay spot that offers the salvation of an adults-only pool when you need it.
- The ridiculously relaxing massages you can get in the spa, by the pool or by the ocean.
- The complimentary (read: FREE) scuba lesson that will ready you, or not, for the deep blue.
- Hopping on a scooter or moped and checking out Mother Nature's awesomeness around you.
- The shows in the evening are pretty darn amusing. The entertainment team has got skills.
Things to Know
- The resort is just five minutes from the airport. Breathe and you'll be on the beach.
- Buy your transfers (from us) to and from the airport. It'll be one less thing to worry about.
- There are five snazzy, jazzy bars and lounges where you chill or get wild or toggle between the two.
- You've got four nosheries with scrumptious cuisine and settings.
- Dive into aqua aerobics for the exercise thing, or water polo for the competition thing.
- In addition to snorkeling, there's parasailing, motor boating, or Hobie catting (is that a word?).
- You can play shuffleboard and tennis, but if you want a smaller court, there's always ping-pong.
- There's volleyball to enjoy, but if you want near zero physical movement, there's Spanish lessons.

lovely time!
I love such a wonderful time, probably the best hotel I’ve ever been to. This is my first time at an all inclusive and it was worth it. I booked the level room. Drinks were good and bar tenders were super friendly. Buffet food was good most nights, restaurants at the hotel were even better. Shoutout to Oscar, Arcangel, Felipe, and more. I loved it!

Just ok
First the positives , Out of the other four resorts that we have stayed at in Cozumel , Melia had one of the nicest beaches with the exception of the sargassum which is pretty much effecting all of the Mexican beaches right now . Another plus was Jameson whiskey which my husband drinks wasn't on top level liquor . How ever if your a vodka drinker unless you are on level package your stuck with some low grade vodka . The resort is not overly large and was clean . They need to up their food choices other than the buffet there is only one other restaurant the fish house , Which is seafood one night and Mexican the next . The snack bar food wasn't very good and again unless you are on the level package you don't get drink servers by the pool or beach .

Average
We had a decent time at Melia, the ocean was really murky most days but next door was clear. It’s hard to get a reservation at restaurants even if you upgrade to “Level” status. Drinks are all the same tasting and use same mixture of whatever they add to the ice and alcohol. Buffet food was pretty bland and tasteless most days. Need to add more variety and have more authentic style foods like tacos and fajitas available. Keep a stock of fresh jalapeños around to eat with food or add to salsa to make it spicy and not the pickled kind…

Disappointing Stay Despite High Expectations
I recently stayed at this property as a Melia member, booking through the Melia app, and unfortunately my experience was far from satisfactory. 1. Check-in and Membership Recognition Upon arrival, I went to the priority check-in line as indicated for members, but the front desk redirected me to the regular check-in queue. It was only near the end of the process—when I specifically asked about member benefits—that they realized I was a member. If I hadn’t asked, I might never have been acknowledged as such. Additionally, the app only mentioned “double or king bed” without confirmation, so I requested a king bed at check-in, but was still given a double. While there was an introduction to the hotel facilities and all-inclusive services, the explanation was incomplete, leading to several misunderstandings during my stay. It would have been more efficient to simply be told to refer to the app for accurate details. 2. Pre-arrival Communication & Transportation Before arriving, I called to ask how to get to the hotel. After being transferred twice, staff eventually told me that the hotel provides no shuttle service except for guests arriving at Cozumel Airport—a detail that is not mentioned anywhere on the app or website. For an all-inclusive hotel in a less convenient location, not offering transportation gives a poor first impression. 3. Restaurant Booking & Service Attitude The hotel has certain restaurants that require booking, but the staff handling reservations were impatient and dismissive—especially toward guests with wristbands a tier below “The Level.” This made the experience uncomfortable. Honestly, allowing reservations via the app would be far better and would avoid unnecessary awkwardness. 4. Room Conditions & Maintenance Being close to the sea, the room was very damp, and I found insects inside (with photos taken). The minibar was not replenished regularly, and the drinking water tasted like tap water—one of my travel companions experienced stomach issues after drinking it. The room door was old, did not close automatically, and needed a hard pull that made a loud noise disturbing other guests. The shower had very low water pressure, and the showerhead was dirty with green rust and buildup. Soundproofing was poor, and because the room was a connecting type, every sound from next door could be heard clearly. 5. Beach & Pool Facilities The beach area was very dirty, with a lot of seaweed, and combined with bad weather, the water and sand looke
