    Amazing Experience. No Complaints !!

We had an amazing stay at the Meliá Caribe Beach Resort. Everything was perfect : the location, the room, the food, the entertainment and the staff! And nothing would have been the same without the wonderful welcome and exceptional service of the following: Vivian Celeste at Guest Services, Maria our room attendant (Room 4224), and hard working Riviera Restaurant Staff Chef Gregorio Flores Ramos, Ramon Sosa, Ramon Guerrero, Maria de la Cruz, Perfecto Charles, Manuel German. Kindly pass on our thanks and appreciation to them. 🙏🏾 And a huge thank you to the entire staff at Melia Caribe 🥰. We will be back.

    Beautiful Vacation

This was a great week vacation at Melia and it’s pretty standard experience of an all-inclusive resort. It has pros and cons We arrived later in the day and was level. Check-in was quite a long wait for our turn and the one desk staff member didn’t acknowledge or greet us or mentioned that we will helped shortly. However when it was our turn to check in another lady came in and gave us exceptional service and most gracious attention. She made our whole long travel day much better. her name was Luz We had a young man Francili who had been such a wonderful help throughout our entire stay! He helped us with our luggage and drove us around and assisted us with various requests and engaged in friendly chats. He made the trip very special. The level pool bar guys was great as well. Made delicious drinks and spoiled us with having our drinks ready ahead of time. The wait staff seems disorganized and short staffed but they’re very nice and friendly and work incredibly hard - aka they work non stop. Lack of pool/beach loungers is a big issue and saving seats for extended periods are discouraged but not enforced . There are just not enough chairs for the amount of guests. Yet not once are there people on all the chairs but they’re all saved. Security and staff try to assist and please all but how do you keep track of so many things and faces? and get yapped and yelled at by other guests (so unfair it’s not their fault per se either) Food is hit and miss. It was probably most unremarkable of the entire stay. It’s on par with most reviews I’ve read - bland, cold, undercooked, over cooked, stale, repetitive. It’s fine though. Sometimes something unexpected was deliciously prepared! The hotel was by far the most gorgeous resort we have ever stayed at. It’s really big and plenty to do and see. We skipped the night time entertainment because we were tired or lack of seating at the lobby and very loud and bar was incredibly busy. Totally go to the spa for a most relaxing time Rooms are really comfortable and the shower was amazing with size and water pressure. Overall a really good vacation! Amazing beach. I would recommend Melia Caribe for a good vacation but we don’t return to the same resort because we like to stay at different ones every trip.

    Beautiful resort

Resort is beautiful. Manicured lawns, palm trees and up lighting throughout. Cement walking pathways all over (thought they get a bit slippy when wet!) Check in was simple and took less than 15 mins. They did offer us to upgrade to Level for $315 for the week (two adults and one child). We declined since the rest of our party wasn’t going to be doing level this time. Bonus at check in since we booked through an Expedia travel agent, we got a concierge assigned to us (via Expedia booking!) who helped us throughout the week and was in contact daily via WhatsApp! Anny Liriano was our concierge and she was great!! She helped me book Bali beds, golf tee times, massages, room service for milk for our daughter, and was able to assist with dinner reservations two nights when we weren’t able to get via waiting in the lobby! Even though we didn’t upgrade to level, we had benefits that Level does by having a booking through Expedia! We didn’t know about this until we arrived, but it was a great surprise and Anny was amazing! Pros: - beautiful grounds, well maintained and very green and lush! - Large main pool with various entry points and shallow areas for kids. It does get deep in the middle and just off the swim up bar (so be prepared when taking drinks from the bar!) - kids area with water slides was great! They have three different areas for all aged children. Our 2 year old loved the smaller area which was about 2 ft in depth. She could walk and play workout being held the whole time! - Grill at the water park had the best wings, burgers, fries (only serves beer and non alc drinks) - Beach was large and very soft sand. Water wasn’t full of seaweed and kept fairly clean. The resort could do a little better picking up peoples trash, and patrons could be better at throwing garbage away! - Beach had a volleyball net and soccer goals, and games were always being played! My nephew loved the soccer and kids were always just joining in! - Rooms were always clean and mini bar stocked with water, beer, soda, lays chips. Rooms are a little outdated but clean was a non problem for us. We had a Family Room Tropical Palms in Building 26 and were very close to beach, pool, water park and food! - Birthdays! We celebrated two birthdays while on our trip and both times the staff made a big deal at dinner with a cake and candles and sang and played drums! Very fun and didn’t cost any extra! We just tipped them for their kindness :) - Spa- was very nice and relaxing! The massage rooms were little huts off the spa pool area and were temp controlled and adorable! You have access to the water area before or after where there is a cold plunge as well as a cool and hot spa area! - Gym- nice to have. Not the best machine options and the dumbbells have seen better days but they did the trick! I worked out 4 times during my week there. I usually went in the afternoon while my daughter napped and it was dead but the mornings were busy and all cardio machines taken. The gym does have AC but it’s not super cool, but they provide towels. - Shuttles- big golf carts that held 15-20 people were always running if you didn’t want to walk between lobby and beach and anywhere in between through the walk from beach to lobby was only about 10-15 mins if walking slow! Cons: - Service at the buffets for tables was very slow. Staff doesn’t communicate well, especially at the buffet by the beach for breakfast. We often had to wait for silverware and water. - Buffet food was ok, not great and often like warm. No one went hungry but it wasn’t 5 star by any means! - Dinner reservations for Ala Carte Restaurants- you have to go to the lobby everyday to wait in line to get your dinner reservation. You can only book 48 hours ahead so you’re first two dinners will likely be at the buffet and then if you have a large group like we did, it is harder to get preferred seating time. Just the overall process of waiting in like at 8am everyday was annoying. They have a tablet near the table where you wait that sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t and wasn’t helpful if booking for more than one room. - Chairs and the beach and pool- people go out first thing in the morning and reserve x number of chairs and then often aren’t using them a majority of the day. If you want a chair to sit or lay in, you also had to get up early and do so. This was annoying. The staff supposedly can remove if the chair isn’t occupied for more than 40 mins but we never saw that happen. - Nightly entertainment- not the best but it was something! Mostly dancing to music depending on the theme of the night. Overall the resort was nice for the price. Great for families with children and those not super picky about food. The staff were friendly and helpful when needed. We didn’t use the KidsDom area but that looked fun and seemed like you could literally drop your kids off and go, so that’s cool! We also never went to Fun Republic but our was did after we left and said it was good!

Had an amazing stay at this hotel

We are still here till tuesday. The hotel is beautiful and amazing. Beach has pure white sand, and the sea is warm. The room is nice and very spacious for 3 people and close to the pool and beach. Staff are all very nice and friendly .The entertainment team works extremely hard and is always happy and makes an effort to include everyone. Food was good and loads of variety. Only downside hard to get sun bed round by the pool/ beach unless you are up by 7am and put your towels down. But this happens at lot at most places you go too. Mini bar was not restocked every day in our room with everything. Would have been nicer if more english music was playing at nighttime entertainment .Overall, we have had an amazing time and enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Would definitely come back and recommend it to others.
