    Not a 5 star resort

    We upgraded to the Level, which is supposed to be a five-star and a first-class service. This was not the case. My partner has a fish and seafood allergy. We informed staff I the riviera buffet every night of this allergy. So imagine when you're confronted with fish and meat being cooked on the same grill/hotplate, it limits your options due to potential cross contaminations. Try booking one of the so-called specialist restaurants here. One is available in a 12 day stay not good enough in my view. Service overall was poor and inconsistent, one evening waiting 30 mins for a drink ?. Breakfast I never got a day where coffee water on juice all came within a minute of each other, some days never at all I gave up. My room was dated, the fridge had a leak the coffee maker I had to wiggle the lead for it to work,the bathroom floor had bits of tile missing, loose fittings and a toilet handle with a mind of its own, definitely not a five star experience. No seat cushions on chairs or a light outside on balcony, you can you see where it's going, oh no, I forgot there's no light. The grounds are kept nice and the beach is lovely. This, however, does not make up for poor service. This place has potential, but it's not there, and the staff need direction. Some may read this and think why is he negative,you pay for a 5 star service then please deliver and this fell way short. I recommend spending your money wisely and looking at maybe Barcelo or H10 chains.

    Dignan Honeymoon at Meliá Caribe Beach Resort

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Meliá Caribe Beach Resort. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We loved walking around the resort. The multitude of bars and restaurants to choose from was awesome. So many different areas to relax and enjoy each other’s company. The beach was our favorite place to hang out. Ultimately, the best part about our stay was the staff. Luz in the Level Lounge provided unmatched hospitality. Luz gave us such a warm welcome to the resort and had great recommendations and insight to the whole property which helped us plan our stay. Luz always checked in on us and made sure we were taken care of. She was spectacular! Other notable staff members that helped make our stay so wonderful included José, Francil, Yerissa, Antonio (the Riviera bar), and Luis (Riviera bar & Hokkaido bar). If you are on the fence about this resort, don’t hesitate any longer! We will be returning.

    Not bad but not great

    Huge resort you have to take trolley to beach or restaurants depending where you’re room is.Our room was dated and was called deluxe room and it was far from deluxe,old and wobbly bidet,old ceramics,old door in bathroom,water leaking out of shower patio door screw loose barely locked.Maid service was good restaurants were good,entertainment was good at night service was good friendly staff.Overall good vacation.
