  Family vacation

  It was our first trip to the Dominican so hard to compare against other resorts. We have travelled all over the place. We have stayed at nicer 5 star places and worse ones. This one falls In the middle. Nice beach, nice water, decent food. Family enjoyed this trip. Check in process was very slow. Over 1 hour. After a long flight and travel Day it’s no fun taking that long. Most of the staff expected a cash tip. Didn’t like that. Service fell Right off if you didn’t tip the servers. We paid a lot of money to go here, tipping should not be part of getting good service.

  10/10 for location, service and value!

  Me and my boyfriend spent 10 nights in this fabulous resort in a lovely spacious room right by the pool and beach which was perfect. The Al a carte restaurants were second to none, with Tauro steakhouse and Rumba Dominicana being our star favourites! Would totally recommend the Tauro platter- most delicious meal of the holiday. Both buffets Merkado and Baazar had excellent choice for both breakfast, lunch and dinner, the omelette stations were a highlight to our mornings. The pool bar staff were extremely friendly and attentive, easily managing queues and ensuring speedy service. The same goes for Olives bar even at peak times staff provided excellent service being able to create any cocktail or drink imaginable- margaritas were the best I’ve ever had! The golf carts to get from place to place on the resort were excellent, never waiting more than 5 minutes and always friendly drivers! The main pool was clean and well maintained with daily entertainment which was great- staff clearly live their jobs! Our only slight qualm was a slight lack of sunbeds on busy days, with some guests reserving multiple beds early in the morning and not using them until lunchtime! But there is always the option to lay on the beach which was also lovely even for someone who hates sand 😂 The mini bar included in the room was a nice touch which was restocked daily with a choice of beer, water, soft drinks and snacks! The cleaning staff always did a great job too! All around we were so happy with our stay from wait staff to receptionists, bar tenders to trip sales reps (special shout out to Danny who came to chat to us every morning!) everyone made us feel extremely welcome! We will be back soon I hope!!! And next time we will upgrade to the Levels as it definitely seems worth it

  So much fun! The kids club was different every day and made it really entertaining for the kids!

  Another fantastic trip to Melia Caribe Beach!!

  We come to the resort every year and have gotten to know many of the staff. They all are so friendly and work so hard, we appreciate everything that they do. At Olives Bar in the lobby: Luis, Edison, Oscar, and Julio are the best and never let our drinks get empty, a fun group to be around. Maria who serves in the lobby is excellent, personable and we are always happy to see her. At the Casino bar, Sophia is always ready with our drinks and fun to talk with. On the Level Beach, Luis, Jerkin, and Catherine are the absolute best of Melia and we are happy to tip them regularly for all of the running that they do for us to keep us hydrated all day at the beach, it has been great to get to know them. At the pool bar, Luis, Renal, and Wilfredo are a great group that we see year after year, and another hard working group of guys. Last but not least is Henry, on the carts, who was very helpful for us to get a ride and solve a problem or 2, good guy! Thanks to all of them and others that I may have missed for yet another great trip to Punta Cana!
