My family trip experience
Meliá Caribe Beach was the hotel my family chose mainly because of the entertainment. Before booking, I read many reviews from other guests and based my decision on making sure my son would be well entertained while my husband and I could also relax and enjoy ourselves—and it was absolutely the right choice. My husband and I are very happy with our stay, and my son was entertained and active the entire time. The entertainment team is amazing; they keep everyone engaged and energized throughout the day. The pools are fantastic and there is always something going on, so there is never a dull moment. The only small detail to mention is the internal transportation to the lobby. The carts are not very frequent, and due to an issue with my feet, this was a bit uncomfortable for me. However, this did not take away from the overall experience. If you are looking for a hotel where your child can have fun and the whole family can truly enjoy themselves, this is the place. I would definitely choose it again.

Melia caribe resort
Superb services and the hospitality what’s gonna bring me back here. The hotel is absolutely stunning, but the service is even better. I want to especially thank any liriano and neztalis from the front desk they were awesome. Also all the porters and bartenders were amazing. I definitely recommend this hotel if you want a peaceful and fun place to relax. Also forgot to mention all the nightly activities were awesome. You get a show and a party after.

Water was a hit, beautiful beach.
The water park was a hit for the kids however the chair game by the beach and pool was not fun. I would not recommend the à la carte restaurants as the food was not great, we often left just to head to the buffet. The rooms are outdated for sure but despite some broken pieces of furniture, the beds were comfy, so that was great! There were only a handful of staff that were friendly. The beach was beautiful and kept clean as well as the pools. This resort would not be my first pick next time we go.

Not a resort I will visit again
We were sold the level up package which boasted a separate check in desk for quicker service (we arrived at 8pm after a long day of traveling only to wait 45 minutes check in because there was only one staff member available at the “special” level up desk and it took forever for her to check in the family ahead of us.) We were then told to wait for the bellboy to help us to our room but after another 15 minutes of waiting we just left to find our room on our own and took our luggage with us . There isn’t much to do on the resort, we found it a little boring the first couple of days. On Friday night there was a “white” evening with beautiful decorations and everyone wore white and the dance party in the front foyer started out amazing with line dancing and cool light up costumes and dancers with light up butterfly wings and they handed out white balloons to everyone , it started out as a blast. But within the hour some of the entertainment staff started winding and grinding with the guests until it turned into all out twerking, sexual touching , humping the floor and each other, and “orgy style” dancing. The female entertainment person was the initiator of this scene and went at it with everyone. If this had taken place in the club for guests who are 18+ I wouldn’t have an issue with it, but to do that in the main lobby which is full of families and children is highly inappropriate (in my opinion). It was fun for the 20 somethings but it went on for hours and was over the top. Otherwise, the beach is gorgeous, the room was nice, the restaurants are good and the staff is friendly. But I would not come to this resort again nor would I recommend it to anyone else.
