  Wonderful welcoming resort.

  Our 2nd visit. Maria Fafa our waitress in the Lobby bar is the best member of staff at the resort by far. As soon as she saw us we were greeted with the loveliest cuddle as if we were family. It really made our stay that we saw familiar faces like hers on our return.

  Great for families

  Overall this was a wonderful resort to bring kids to. The water park was great and it had a spot to grab food right on site. Kids club and water park had the friendliest staff on the whole resort. Service elsewhere was slower. Beach was beautiful. Spa was great. Sellers on the beach were too pushy. Food was ok, not great but always able to find something to eat. Fun republic was a huge bonus. The kids loved it all. Room to improve on fulfilling simple requests and timeliness of service. But not enough to ruin the trip. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Had to call multiple times asking for toilet paper to be brought, and mini fridge wasn’t always stocked.(I think they ended with our building because they seemed to run out of things and it was stocked around 5-6pm) But we had a great trip, without any serious issues. Not a 5 star resort but perfect for a family trip if you’re not looking to be pampered!

  Family Trip - The Level Grand Suite

  This was my fourth time in Punta Cana, and this trip was special because we were traveling with a 3-year-old and a 7-month-old baby. We stayed at The Level Grand Suite (VIP) at Meliá Caribe Beach. The hotel is huge and absolutely beautiful, with an elegant design, large spaces and impressive columns. You need to use golf carts to move around the resort, but they pass very frequently. Since we were traveling with a stroller, we had to fold it every time, and the staff was always patient and helpful, making transportation easy for us. The landscape is spectacular, full of palm trees, and the beach is very nice. During the first days there was a little bit of sargassum, and the sand was not being cleaned. However, the hotel has a barrier so not much algae reaches the shore. It would be better if they cleaned the sand when algae arrives, although honestly it was not too much and there was no bad smell. The following days the beach was perfect. We always stayed in The Level beach section, which is excellent: palm umbrella loungers well separated, all in good condition, and not too difficult to find available. There is always staff ready to help, they bring drinks to your chair and there is also a bar in that VIP area. What I liked the most about this hotel was truly the quality of the staff: from reception, The Level service, and restaurants. I would like to specially thank Filippo and Domingo (the managers) for helping us with two important situations: The first inconvenience (and a point to improve for the hotel) was that after 3 hours waiting during check-in for a ground-floor room (which we had requested in advance), we were assigned a room on the third floor with no elevator, which was very difficult with a stroller and a baby. Filippo apologized and on the third night he changed us to a ground-floor room. The second inconvenience happened in the new room, when a neighboring guest got drunk and knocked disrespectfully on our door because our baby was crying and even threatened my husband. That night, the night manager Domingo immediately intervened with hotel security and moved us to a third room to avoid further problems. Both managers were professional, caring and solution-oriented. I would also like to thank the The Level staff: Elizabeth, Rainikho and Ángel, who were always willing to help us with everything. Our concierge Nilvio was wonderful from day one until the end. He helped us get restaurant reservations, gave us advice, and contacted us daily via WhatsApp to make sure everything was going well. Thanks as well to Fernando, who helped us with our luggage every time we had to move rooms. Regarding the room, the Grand Suite is very large and perfect for a family of two adults and two children. However, the outside sofa bed is very small and clearly designed for children, not adults. We noticed that rooms in blocks 46, 47 and 48 are more comfortable than the same category in other blocks. In the other blocks, the sofa bed is very uncomfortable and there is no microwave. About the pools: The Level pool is the best, and the water park is spectacular, all in very good condition. The main pool near the beach needs some maintenance, especially the pool floor. Special thanks to Rodrigo at the water park, who was always very kind and helpful with my daughter. For restaurants, our breakfasts were always at Riviera (The Level buffet). The buffet area is a bit small, but there is always seating available and there is a wide variety of food (ceviches, meats, fruits, etc.). But what we will miss the most from this hotel are definitely our breakfasts at Riviera and its amazing staff. This was our favorite place to eat during the entire trip. Our mornings were truly special thanks to Manuel, Yajaira, Yohana and Germán, who were always attentive, warm and loving with our daughters and with us. They are truly great people and serve with genuine kindness. Also thanks to Ramón, the supervisor, who treated us excellently. Among the themed restaurants, our favorites were: * The Japanese restaurant, because they adjusted the chef’s show so our baby would not cry too much from the noise. Special thanks to Milcíades, who was so kind that he even went to the buffet to get an ice cream for my daughter. * The Mexican restaurant, where the food was also excellent. We would definitely return to this hotel because the service was outstanding, but we strongly recommend upgrading to The Level in order for the experience to truly be worth it.

  Punta Cana relaxation

  The resort was lovely and relaxing. The entertainment team was great with dancing lessons on the beach each day that we were able to use on the dance floor every night. Annay Liriano helped us switch rooms so we could be closer to the main building and Yanela Serrata helped us find a location to watch the NFL playoffs. They both went the extra mile for us and it was much appreciated.
