    Wonderful!!

We have just gotten back from a wonderful time at Marival Emotions (my sister, her husband and I). We loved the apartment, the staff, the pools and the food. The beach was beautiful! There were only two downsides - I use a cane and have a lot of leg/hip pain. Despite telling them that I used a cane they put us on the first floor of an building without an elevator and quite steep stairs. As well, we ended up renting a cabana because 1) there were never any chairs available at the adult pool (most have towels to reserve them by 7 a.m.!) and the chairs at the other pools were too low. 2) There are stairs everywhere, although after a few days I found the ramps. Other than these negatives, I had a wonderful, wonderful time at Marival Emotions. Special shout out to Ricardo, who helped us with the cabana and every day. As well to Cruz at the beach and to Gloria and Enrique who helped me when I hit my head. I felt nothing but respect and kindness for the whole time we were there. If possible, we will definitely be back! A million thanks!

    A good family focused resort.

Let us start with the positives: The adults only pool was amazing. We enjoyed it every day of our stay. Our room was very nice and we had no complaints. Access to bikes was a real plus. My husband road into Bucerias every morning and we both rode the bikes a couple of times together. The negatives: One of the biggest issues we found was trying to book one of the specialty restaurants and we heard this complaint from everyone we talked to. We were told to show up on Monday morning at 8:40 am to book. There were already over 50 people in line with some people waiting over 2 hours only to be told that 9 to 9:30 pm was all that was available for supper. That is not acceptable. Management needs to sit down and come up with a better solution. When we brought up our concern to the front desk after spending 8 out of our 10 days there, they did get us a reservation at the Italian restaurant and it was excellent. The buffet food was not great and for the most part we did not enjoy it. Seafood night and Asian nights were better, but overall we were not happy with the food. We ate most of our lunches at the burger place by the kids pool and it was okay. I think if you are a family with young children, Marival Emotions really hits the mark. I think for us we would look for a smaller resort on our next visit.

    Another wonderful stay!

My husband and I recently returned home from Marival Emotions after spending two glorious weeks (January 8-22, 2026). We are not members, but have returned yearly since 2005. I have spent many girls' trips, besides our family trips. We have seen many changes over the years, some good - some not so good. The renovations to the lobby area are very nice. There is a very grand feeling walking into the lobby. The bar area being moved is a great idea but the chairs are very high and difficult to get into as they do not move easily. I love the new stairs to the pool area! Beautiful. Check-in was very quick and easy this time. The young man must have recognized us from past trips because he welcomed us, put our bracelets on and wished us a pleasant stay. It was very refreshing that we did not have to sit through them trying to have us do the members bit. Been there, done that. Silk, the new Asian restaurant, which replaced the Mexican Restaurant, is amazing. The food and service were very impressive. It is a shame that they couldn’t have kept the Mexican restaurant, we always enjoyed it. La Pérgola, which used to be a reservations restaurant which served seafood, is now a Mexican restaurant which you do not need reservations for. We did not eat there as we reviewed the menu and found nothing which interested us. Others that we spent time with stated the same. Breakfast is also served there with a small buffet and order off the menu choices. We miss that lunch is not served there any more…. It has been years but that was without a doubt our favorite! Piazzetta dei Forni serves delicious pizza and has a small salad bar with some other meat and pasta choices. It used to be open for lunch - unfortunately they only open for dinner now but glad that it is open until midnight for that late night snack option. Another cost cutting measure I’m sure. La Bamba is a lunch restaurant serving buffet style and burgers/hot dogs. It is very convenient with a small salad bar and pizza. Amallfi, the Italian restaurant, is very good. Unfortunately the T-bone steak, which I usually ordered, is now an item that you need to pay extra for but there are many other delicious items to pick from. Casa Bella, the buffet, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each night there is a different theme. You can always find something to eat. Breakfast is the best with the sweet woman (I am so sorry I forgot her name) that made our omelets in the morning. She always greeted us with a smile and was always welcoming! Thank you dear! It does get rather loud during peak times….I can not speak of La Bamba breakfast, nor Mai Tai or Capriccio beach club for lunch as those are for members only and even though we have been going once or twice a year for the past 21 years we never bought into a membership. Another new this year…. There are signs by the pools that you cannot reserve chairs by the pool or on the beach until 8:00 a.m. and there are employees patrolling to ensure no chairs are saved. We love this new rule. Our one bad experience while at this hotel years ago was because of beach chairs. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We stayed in a resort room, with a view of the pool and ocean. We are only in the room to sleep, otherwise at the beach or pool, so they are fine. The maids do a great job of cleaning. We tipped her daily. Now to the people that made our trip memorable. From the start…. Our friend Pedro who greets us, cares for and delivers our luggage to our room. We call him family and always look forward to seeing and talking with him! A wonderful man with a beautiful family. Greeting us for breakfast each morning was Maribel, always with a smile and granting us our favorite area when available. Wait staff at Casa Bella Martin, Gabriela, Eduardo, and Francisco. At LaBamba, Dulce the hostess, is the sweetest young lady with a big beautiful smile. Thank you Allen for all the attention, coffee and conversation! Charlie (Carlos) of the entertainment staff is a sweet man who is like family and Lewis - thank you for remembering us! We can’t wait for next year! I hope you love this place as much as we do!

    Great Vacation!

We have been to the Marival Emotions many, many times over the years. There have been changes, some we didn't like, but for the most part it is a wonderful family oriented hotel. The beach is huge, safe and clean with lots of lounge chairs (although some could use replacing) and umbrellas. The only thing missing would be more "sit down" chairs and tables. Beach staff are available to bring out more umbrellas if needed, or move what you have in place already. Music and Activities happening around the main "noisy" pool; but if you want a more relaxed atmosphere, there is the "quiet" pool and an adults only pool. Staff are always cleaning the pool deck areas which is never ending with the sand that comes up from the beach. The Casa Bella buffet can be busy and the same foods repeated weekly. On the weekends the outdoor grill is opened up. La Pergola has reopened for a sit down served breakfast. Having the self serve coffee, mamosa and caesar bar just outside their doors was a nice touch! Many thanks to Celia for her service there. The pizzeria has great thin crust pizzas. And we so appreciate the attentiveness of our favorite servers there - Maria Rodriguez Guzman and Gigi. That's what we nicknamed her.....it was easier for us to say. Our favorite restaurant is still the Amalfi Italian restaurant. William Lopez is an excellent waiter; we could not ask for anything more from him. And his capitan, Cristhian Arangure Guzman is absolutely wonderful and accommodating. There is a new Asian restaurant "Silk" which seems to be very popular as well....comes in 2nd place for us. Our waiter was Joel Flores is another good one, with his capitan, Saul. I didn't get his last name, but so accommodating. And you can still have a good meal at La Pergola, which is now Mexican. A special shout out to Rene Casillas for his never ending attention to his table service. The best place for lunch and snacks is La Bamba on the beach. There is nothing better than that view of the ocean. The head waiter there, Roelof, does a great job of staying on top of everything. A special shout out to Antonio and (I think her name was) Mary - so attentive. Lastly, we want to give many, many thanks to Dalia Gonzalez in the Volare Bar - she is the best server and bartender, and to the fantastic Gustavo, the "quiet" pool bartender - another best, who could probably teach some of the other new bartenders a few things. And finally, our favorite bellman - Pedro and Gabriel! All of the bellman work hard with all that luggage coming and going every day, but Pedro and Gabriel have come to know us over the years and can make the vacation even smoother.

    5 Star!

Had a great experience at Armony Emotions and Distinct. Highlight of the day was morning Yoga with Janna from NRG2GO company. Such a professional and ambassador of the resort. Francisco at pool side took care of us and made sure our drinks were not empty. Such a hard worker! Will definitely be back.
