  Ok stay, room for improvement

  The good: - clean -safe -mostly friendly staff -room spacious -pretty grounds that are nicely kept -the bar staff was friendly and the drinks were decent The bad: -stinky, smells like sewage -no beach -inconvenient location, not next to much other than Coral World. - our wristbands locked us out of our room at 8:30 am on our last day. They did send maintenance within 10 minutes and they were friendly -I didn’t mind the walk but the resort is very hilly and I could see it might be a pain if you were old or had little kids. -The restaurant was terrible. Absolutely terrible. The dessert selection was only two things: rum cake and key lime pie. My kids were totally bummed. It took 30 minutes to get a Sprite.

  Very disappointing

  Disappointed with the Lack of Accountability and Customer Service I had high hopes for my stay at Margaritaville in St Thomas, but unfortunately, the experience was tainted by a serious lack of follow-through and accountability from the resort staff. After checking out, I realized I had accidentally left behind some personal items in my room. I promptly contacted the hotel and was instructed to file a missing items report, which I did immediately. Despite following all the proper steps and repeated follow-ups, the resort made no effort to properly investigate or recover my belongings. What’s most frustrating is not just the loss itself, but the complete lack of urgency or care shown by the staff. It felt like once I checked out, I was no longer their concern. No updates, no callbacks, and certainly no resolution — just a vague and dismissive response. For a resort that brands itself on hospitality and high standards, this experience was deeply disappointing. I expected far better service and a basic level of responsibility. Sadly, I cannot recommend Margaritaville St. Thomas, especially to travelers who value trust and professionalism.

  Recommended with some reasonable expectations

  We picked this location for being a little more on the secluded side, however you can be anywhere on the island in 30 minutes if you are brave enough to drive. Plenty to do right near the resort though. The hurricane took out the beach and the seaweed leaves an unpleasant smell but that's not the hotels fault and they work hard to clean it up every day. Staff is very nice and always seems to have something going on for entertainment.

  Just OK

  This place is just ok. Landscaping is well maintained, but the restaurant has an Applebee's-ish menu and the staffing is very average. There is no beach. Do not let anyone convince you otherwise. It IS easy to drive other places (the island is small), and it'd be smart to rent a car for $30 a day instead of getting cabs everywhere. There is a kitchen/mini kitchen in the room so you can buy groceries instead of eating the same $20 burger at the restaurant. Just know the groceries are, naturally, more expensive here.
