Lakesha rules Margaritaville Nassau!!
So we stopped here off the Margaritaville Sea cruise. We just wanted a place to hang out, relax and enjoy! This was absolutely achieved thanks to Lakesha our Beach attendant!! When I tell you, this girl didn’t stop the whole time we were there, I mean she was hustling!! Digging holes for umbrellas making sure that everyone had what they needed, wanted and were safe!! She is ABSOLUTELY incredible and we are already planning on coming back simply base on her commitment to service!! Can’t believe how lucky we are to have met such an amazing woman!!

Not what we were expecting
We booked this hotel as a 10 day holiday from the UK for a family of four. It ended up being different to what we were expecting based on a few elements. Location Downtown Nassau now caters for the cruise ships and as a result everything is busy 9am to 4pm and then quiet at night with lots of places closing. You can get a taxi to the Atlantis or Baha Mar etc but this is $70+ return. This increased the cost of the holiday as the restaurants at the hotel were expensive and low quality, forcing you to go elsewhere. Catering to cruise customers The hotel gets busier when the ships come in and calms down again after 4pm. A lot of the cruise passengers get a package that allows them lunch and some drinks which makes it cost effective. This is not the case if you are a hotel guest and on a room only rate. Any food and drink is overpriced for what you get. Service level We emailed several times before we arrived to ask for connecting rooms and a twin room for our second room. We always got referred back to our tour operator and never really got anywhere. Our last day was a 10pm flight and we asked at the start if we could get late checkout but told you can’t find out until the last day. On the last day we asked and the hotel was full, so had to cut our last day short to get changed at the spa. Cost The cost was the biggest issue. Everything was premium rates but you didn’t get value in the product. To be fair, all of the Bahamas is expensive now but other restaurants were better products than the hotel. It does seem to be a money making business aimed primarily at cruise customers. The hotel itself is really nice and rooms were excellent. Bahamas as a location has changed with Atlantis and Baha Mar being the main hotels and the location of this hotel is in the day cruise area. I can see it being value for money for the day trippers, but not what we were expecting for the outlay. I would recommend booking Atlantis instead.
